Lisa's POV

Two weeks later

Two weeks had passed since the day the world was pulled back from the edge of ruin, and still I could feel the remnants of Malrik’s curse lingering like shadows across my skin. Yet my body had healed, the torn muscles mended, the bones realigned, the exhaustion slowly replaced by something sturdier—resilience. My children had also recovered, their once-fading auras now glowing brighter with every sunrise. And the brothers—Enzo, Ash, Kael, and Atlas—though still carrying the scars of battle, stood taller than ever, their bond as unbreakable as iron.

I sat by the window of my chamber, the curtains drawn open so the silver light of the moon could bathe me. It was the same moon that had witnessed my pain, my fall, my fight, and my survival. I breathed it in deeply, my chest rising and falling with the cool night air. The room smelled faintly of healing herbs that Calla and Mira had insisted I keep near my bed, though I no longer needed them. My strength was mine again, but more than that, my will had hardened. I was no longer simply surviving. I was ready to lead.

The door creaked open gently, and I turned my head. All four brothers entered together, a rare sight that immediately caught my attention. Enzo came first, his presence steady, commanding, his sharp eyes softening as they landed on me. Ash followed, leaning casually against the doorframe for a moment before stepping inside, but I could see the intensity beneath his relaxed exterior. Atlas’s gaze was warm, careful, lingering on me as if to gauge my every breath, and Kael… Kael carried a certain spark in his eyes, a secret glimmer that hinted at something unspoken.

I rose slowly, adjusting the folds of my gown. “All of you together,” I said, a faint smile touching my lips. “That usually means something important is about to be said.”

Enzo was the one to step forward, his deep voice steady as he spoke. “Lisa… we have been speaking among ourselves. About what comes next. About what this pack, and all wolves, need.” He paused, his eyes locking with mine. “We wish to crown you as our Luna. If you agree.”

The words hung in the air like thunder, their weight pressing into my chest. My heart skipped once, then again, as I looked from one brother to the next. My Luna crowning. The thought was overwhelming, not because I doubted my ability, but because of what it meant. Responsibility. Unity. Trust.

I let the silence stretch, my mind racing, my heart swelling. Finally, I spoke, my voice firm though tinged with emotion. “I will agree,” I said slowly, deliberately. “But on one condition.”

Ash tilted his head, a brow arched. “And that is?”

I drew in a deep breath, letting the strength of my conviction steady me. “The truth. No more shadows, no more secrets hidden away for fear of judgment or war. If I am to stand as your Luna, then we stand together without pretense. That means you reveal yourselves to the world. Your true Lycan nature, the bond you share as brothers. No more disguises. No more lies.”

The room shifted with their silence. Enzo’s jaw tightened, Atlas’s brows drew low, Ash let out a slow whistle as if weighing the gravity of my words, and Kael, of all of them, smiled faintly, almost as if he had been waiting for me to say it.

At last, Enzo nodded. “So be it. The world will know. We have hidden long enough.”

Atlas exhaled deeply, shoulders relaxing. “If this is your condition, then it will be honored.”

Ash gave a half-smile, though his eyes betrayed his seriousness. “Well, Lisa, you’ve just demanded the undoing of centuries of secrecy. Bold. I like it.”

Kael stepped forward then, his grin widening. “And since we’re speaking of boldness, I have a present for you.” He glanced at the door, signaling with his hand.

The door opened again, and my breath caught in my throat. Fiona stepped inside, her golden hair tied back, her eyes wide with a mixture of nervousness and hope. Beside her walked Ethan, taller than I remembered, his steady presence grounding the room. But it was the little boy between them—no more than five years, his wide curious eyes reflecting both innocence and a quiet strength—that undid me entirely.

My heart leapt, my feet moving before I realized it. I rushed forward, my arms outstretched. “Fiona! Ethan!” My voice cracked with emotion as I dropped to my knees, gathering the small boy into my embrace first, holding him tightly as though he might vanish if I loosened my grip. His tiny arms wrapped around my neck, and tears stung my eyes. Then I pulled Fiona close, and Ethan followed, the four of us bound in a tangle of arms and sobs.

“You’re here,” I whispered against Fiona’s shoulder, my tears wetting her gown. “You’re truly here.”

Fiona’s voice shook. “I told you I’d find my way back to you.”

Ethan’s hand touched my back gently, steadying me. “We came as soon as Kael found us.”

I pulled back just enough to look at them, my vision blurred with tears but my smile unwavering. “You’ve no idea what this means to me.” My eyes fell on the boy again, and I cupped his cheek. “And who is this brave little soul?”

“He’s ours,” Fiona said softly, glancing at Ethan with a complicated expression. “But his story… his story is not so simple.”

The boy smiled shyly at me, and I kissed his forehead, deciding in that moment that whatever his story was, he was family to me now.

The rest of the evening blurred into warmth and laughter. The children reunited joyfully, the brothers standing by with quiet smiles as if content simply to see me surrounded by love. For the first time in weeks, perhaps months, I felt something like peace.

Later that night, when the others had gone to rest, Fiona remained with me in my chamber. We sat on the edge of my bed, the candlelight flickering between us. I studied her face, the lines of worry etched deeper than I remembered.

“Fiona,” I said softly, “have you sorted things with Ethan? The bond between you… the child you share… I must know you’re not carrying this weight alone anymore.”

She hesitated, her hands twisting in her lap. “That’s what I wanted to talk to you about.” Her voice trembled, but she forced herself to meet my eyes. “I’ve been thinking of giving the child up.”

The words struck me like a blow, stealing the air from my lungs. “What? Fiona, how could you—he’s your son!”

Tears filled her eyes, and she shook her head. “I know, Lisa, I know. But some things don’t add up. His birth, the timing, the way his powers stir at night… Sometimes I wonder if he’s even Ethan’s child at all. And if he isn’t, then…” Her voice cracked, breaking under the weight of her confession. “Then what am I supposed to do?”

I reached for her hand immediately, gripping it tight. “You are supposed to love him. No matter the truth of his father, he is yours. Blood doesn’t define the bond, Fiona. Love does. That boy looked at you tonight as if you were his entire world. Don’t you dare let doubt steal that from him.”

She broke then, sobs shaking her shoulders as she clutched my hand like a lifeline. “I’m so afraid, Lisa. Afraid of what I don’t know. Afraid of failing him.”

I pulled her into my arms, holding her as tightly as I had earlier. “You won’t fail him. Not while I’m here. Not while we all stand together. We’ve faced darkness and come through alive, Fiona. This fear of yours—we’ll face it too. And we’ll find the truth. But don’t you dare think for one second of letting him go. He needs you. He needs both of you.”

Her sobs quieted slowly, replaced by soft, shaky breaths. At last, she nodded against my shoulder, whispering, “I’ll try. I’ll try to hold on.”

“You won’t try,” I said firmly, pulling back to look at her. “You will. Because that’s who you are. A fighter. A mother. My sister, my best friend.”

Her lips trembled into a small, broken smile, and she squeezed my hand. “I don’t know what I’d do without you.”

I smiled back through my own tears. “You’ll never have to find out.”

And in that moment, under the flickering candlelight, I knew that though battles might still lie ahead, though truths might yet unravel painfully, we were no longer broken. We were together. And together, we could endure anything.
