Rejected By My Mate; Claimed By Lycan Quadruplets Chapter 411
Emma had just stepped out of the shower when her phone started buzzing on the nightstand. She wrapped a towel around herself, quickly reaching for the device.
A small smile tugged at her lips when she saw the name flashing across the screen.
Ethan.
She answered immediately, pressing the phone to her ear. “Hey, babe.”
Ethan’s deep, familiar voice came through the line, warm and teasing. “Hey, beautiful. Busy?”
Emma chuckled, settling onto the bed. “Not really. Just got out of the shower. Why? You sound suspiciously sweet today.”
Ethan laughed. “Can’t a man be sweet to his girlfriend without suspicion?”
“Not when that man is you,” Emma teased, shaking her head. “So, what’s up?”
“Clear your schedule tonight,” Ethan said smoothly. “I’m taking you out.”
Emma raised an eyebrow. “Out? Like… dinner?”
“Dinner, yes,” Ethan confirmed. “But before that, I’m taking you shopping. You need something special to wear for tonight.”
Emma’s heart did a little flip. “Ethan, you know I can pick out my own dress, right?”
“I know,” Ethan said. “But I want to be the one to spoil you today. So, no arguments.”
Emma rolled her eyes but couldn’t stop the warmth from spreading in her chest. “Fine, fine. What’s the occasion?”
“You’ll see,” Ethan said mischievously. “Be ready in an hour. I’m picking you up.”
Emma’s curiosity piqued. Ethan was rarely this secretive, and when he was, it always meant something big.
She had no idea just how big this night would be.
An hour later, Ethan pulled up outside Emma’s apartment.
Emma stepped out, dressed in a simple pair of jeans and a fitted top, her hair falling in soft waves over her shoulders.
Ethan grinned the moment he saw her, stepping out of the car to greet her. He leaned in, placing a soft kiss on her lips. “You look beautiful, as always.”
Emma rolled her eyes playfully. “Save the compliments. You’re the one making me change outfits later.”
Ethan chuckled. “True. Now, come on. We have shopping to do.”
They drove to one of the most exclusive designer boutiques in the city. The moment they stepped inside, Emma’s eyes widened.
“This place is insanely expensive,” she whispered to Ethan.
Ethan smirked. “Good thing I can afford it, then.”
Emma huffed. “Ethan, I don’t need—”
“Stop right there,” Ethan interrupted, placing a finger over her lips. “Tonight, I’m spoiling you, and you’re going to let me.”
Emma sighed dramatically. “Fine. But I’m picking something reasonable.”
Ethan smirked. “We’ll see about that.”
A sales associate quickly approached them, her eyes lighting up when she recognized Ethan. “Mr. Ethan, welcome! How can we assist you today?”
Ethan wrapped an arm around Emma’s waist. “My girlfriend needs something stunning for a very special dinner tonight.”
The saleswoman smiled. “Of course! Right this way.”
Emma was led into the dressing area while Ethan sat comfortably, waiting.
One by one, Emma tried on dresses, stepping out of the fitting room to show Ethan.
The first was a sleek, black gown that hugged her curves perfectly.
Ethan shook his head. “Sexy, but not the one.”
Emma groaned. “How picky are you?”
“Very,” Ethan said with a wink.
She tried on a second dress, a deep emerald green with an elegant slit down the side.
Ethan tilted his head. “Closer… but still not it.”
Emma glared. “You’re impossible.”
Then, she stepped out in the third dress.
It was a stunning red gown with delicate lace detailing along the bodice, flowing down into a soft, flowing skirt.
Ethan’s jaw actually dropped.
He stood up, his eyes sweeping over her slowly.
Emma shifted under his gaze. “Well?”
Ethan exhaled. “That’s the one.”
Emma rolled her eyes. “Finally.”
He smirked. “You look… breathtaking.”
A warmth spread across Emma’s cheeks as she turned away. “Let’s just buy the dress before you get too cheesy.”
Ethan only laughed, pulling out his wallet. “Whatever you say, beautiful.”
After shopping, they arrived at the high-end restaurant Ethan had chosen.
It was one of the most romantic spots in the city, known for its rooftop dining and breathtaking skyline view.
The hostess led them to a table near the edge of the rooftop, where candles flickered softly, and fairy lights twinkled above them.
Emma raised an eyebrow. “Okay, this is next-level romantic, Ethan. Are you sure there’s not some secret behind tonight?”
Ethan smirked, pulling out her chair for her. “Just wanted to treat my girl right.”
Emma narrowed her eyes playfully. “Uh-huh.”
They ordered their food, sipping on wine as they enjoyed the view.
As their dinner arrived, Ethan reached across the table, taking Emma’s hand in his.
“You know, from the moment I met you, I knew you were going to be important to me,” Ethan said softly.
Emma’s heart skipped a beat. “Ethan…”
He smiled. “I’ve watched you support your best friend, work hard, and still somehow put up with me.”
Emma chuckled. “That last part is definitely a struggle.”
Ethan laughed. “I’m sure it is. But through everything, you’ve always been there. And I don’t want to spend another day of my life without you.”
Emma’s breath hitched.
Ethan reached into his pocket, pulling out a small, velvet box.
Emma’s eyes widened.
Ethan got up from his seat, moving to kneel in front of her.
A soft gasp escaped Emma’s lips as every head in the restaurant turned toward them.
Ethan flipped open the box, revealing a stunning diamond ring.
“Emma,” he said, his voice filled with love and certainty, “will you marry me?”
Emma’s hands flew to her mouth, her chest tightening with overwhelming emotion.
Tears welled in her eyes as she stared down at him.
“You… you want to marry me?” she whispered.
Ethan chuckled. “Obviously.” His smile softened. “Say yes, Emma. Make me the luckiest man alive.”
Emma nodded quickly.
“Yes,” she breathed. Then, louder—”Yes!”
The restaurant erupted in applause as Ethan slipped the ring onto her finger before pulling her into a deep, passionate kiss.
Emma felt like she was floating.
This was real.
This was happening.
She was going to marry Ethan.
As they pulled away, Ethan grinned at her. “You have no idea how happy you just made me.”
Emma laughed, wiping a tear from her cheek. “I think I do.”
Ethan smirked. “Good. Because I plan to make you just as happy for the rest of our lives.”
Emma stared into his eyes, her heart pounding with excitement and love.
She had never imagined this moment. Never imagined that someone would love her this deeply, this completely.
But Ethan did.
And she had just said yes.
