Rejected By My Mate; Claimed By Lycan Quadruplets Chapter 343

Kate sat on the edge of her bed, staring blankly at her reflection in the mirror.

Dark circles framed her eyes, a testament to the restless night she had spent tossing and turning.

She hadn’t bothered to apply any makeup—what was the point? Today wasn’t about looking beautiful. It was about sending a message.

She didn’t dress to kill, either. Instead, she threw on a plain, oversized sweater and a pair of faded jeans.

Her hair, usually styled to perfection, hung loosely over her shoulders, slightly tangled from the way she had run her fingers through it in frustration all night.

Today, she wasn’t the glamorous woman people expected her to be.

Today, she was a scorned lover, a woman with a broken heart and a tragic story to tell.

Taking a deep breath, she grabbed her purse and made her way to Rolly’s apartment.

Rolly, her best friend and the only person she could trust, opened the door with a puzzled expression. “Kate? What’s wrong?”

Kate stepped inside without waiting for an invitation, collapsing onto the couch.

She didn’t speak for a moment, trying to compose herself, but the moment she met Rolly’s concerned gaze, the words tumbled out.

“It’s Ryan. He went back to Serena.”

Rolly’s mouth fell open. “You’re joking.”

Kate let out a bitter laugh, shaking her head. “I wish I was. After everything! After all the scandals, all the humiliation, all the proof of what she’s done, he still chose her.”

Rolly folded her arms, narrowing her eyes. “That woman must have cast a spell on him. How else do you explain this?”

Kate let out a shaky breath, rubbing her hands over her face. “I don’t know. I don’t understand it. I gave him everything, Rolly. Everything! And yet, he still crawled back to her.”

Rolly sat down beside her, studying her face carefully. “You know what I have to ask, right?”

Kate frowned. “What?”

Rolly hesitated before speaking, her voice laced with curiosity. “Is Ryan that good in bed? Because, honestly, it seems like neither you nor Serena can let him go.”

Kate’s expression darkened.

She shot Rolly a glare so sharp that her friend immediately raised her hands in surrender. “Okay, okay! I'll take it back!”

Kate exhaled sharply, looking away. “This isn’t about that. This is about me being humiliated. Again.”

Rolly sighed. “So, what are you going to do?”

Kate sat up straighter, her jaw tightening with determination. “I’m granting an interview. One of the media outlets has been asking me to speak ever since Serena had her press conference. It’s time I set the record straight.”

Rolly’s eyebrows lifted in interest. “Now that… that’s a good idea.”

Kate nodded, her eyes burning with resolve. “I won’t let Serena win. Not this time.”

The interview room was dimly lit, the atmosphere thick with anticipation.

A camera crew adjusted their equipment, ensuring every angle was perfect.

A journalist, a woman in her early thirties with sharp, inquisitive eyes, sat across from Kate, ready to ask the hard-hitting questions.

Kate sat rigidly in her chair, her hands clasped tightly in her lap. Her eyes were red-rimmed, her face pale.

She had deliberately avoided powdering her face or applying lipstick, wanting the world to see her in raw, unfiltered pain.

The journalist offered her a sympathetic smile, her voice gentle as she began.

“Ms Kate, first of all, I want to thank you for coming forward. I know this must be incredibly difficult for you.”

Kate swallowed, her throat dry. “It is.”

“Before we get into everything, I want to ask—why now? Why did you decide to finally break your silence?”

Kate took a shaky breath, her voice trembling as she spoke.

“Because I can’t sit back and let Serena Winthrop keep playing the victim. The world needs to know the truth. She’s not the innocent woman she pretends to be.”

The journalist nodded, her gaze unwavering. “Let’s start from the beginning. How did you and Ryan first meet?”

Kate blinked rapidly, as if trying to hold back tears.

“Ryan and I met in university. We were in love. We had dreams, plans for the future… but then Serena came into the picture.”

There was a pause before the journalist prompted, “What happened?”

Kate let out a trembling exhale, her fingers gripping the hem of her sweater.

“Serena stole him from me. She manipulated him. She made him think I abandoned him when, in reality, she had me kidnapped.”

The journalist’s eyes widened. “Kidnapped?”

Kate nodded, tears slipping down her cheeks. “I never left Ryan willingly.

Serena had me taken away. She made sure Ryan believed I had moved on, that I had betrayed him. And he fell for it.”

The journalist leaned in, her voice barely above a whisper. “Do you have proof?”

Kate’s lips quivered. “I may not have physical evidence, but I have my story. And I know what I lived through.”

The journalist let the silence linger, allowing Kate’s words to sink in.

Kate sniffled, wiping her tears away.

“Ryan was mine. We were supposed to be together. And even when I came back into his life, even after I told him everything, Serena still found a way to keep us apart.”

The journalist pursed her lips. “You’re saying that Ryan never loved Serena?”

Kate let out a hollow laugh, shaking her head. “Never. She pressured him into marrying her. She forced him into that marriage. He was never happy with her.”

The journalist tilted her head. “And yet, he keeps going back to her.”

Kate’s face crumpled, and she let out a soft, broken sob.

“Because she’s manipulative. She knows how to trap him. She makes him feel guilty. But deep down, he knows the truth. He knows who he really loves.”

The journalist studied her carefully. “You’ve admitted to exposing the footage of Ryan and Serena’s private moments. Why did you do it?”

Kate lifted her chin, her tear-streaked face filled with determination. “Because people needed to see the truth. Serena isn’t the victim. She’s the villain.”

The journalist sat back, considering Kate’s words. “There are many who sympathize with Serena, who believe she has suffered enough. What do you say to them?”

Kate’s hands curled into fists. “They don’t know her like I do. She doesn’t deserve sympathy.”

The journalist exhaled. “Ms Kate, with everything you’ve said today, you’re painting a very different picture of Serena. Do you think this will change how the public sees her?”

Kate’s lips curled into a small, bitter smile. “I think it’s time the world knows who she really is.”

And with that, the interview ended, but the storm it unleashed had only just begun.
