Rejected By My Mate; Claimed By Lycan Quadruplets Chapter 338
Meanwhile, back at Rolly’s apartment, Kate was sitting cross-legged on the couch, her fingers gripping a steaming cup of coffee.
Rolly, now fully awake and dressed, sat beside her, smirking as she scrolled through her phone.
“You’re trending, babe.” Rolly chuckled, turning the screen to show her. The headline read:
KATE ANDREWS—VICTIM OR MASTER MANIPULATOR?
Kate snatched the phone, scrolling furiously through the comments.
Most were calling her a liar, saying Serena had handled herself with grace and class while Kate had played the victim.
Her stomach twisted.
She had expected some backlash, but not this much.
Kate set the phone down, rubbing her temples. “This isn’t good, Rolly. First the call to Ryan, now this? Everything is crumbling.”
Rolly, unfazed, took a sip of her drink. “Relax. That’s why we’re handling it.”
Kate looked at her sharply. “And how exactly are we handling it?”
Rolly smirked. “First, we find out who made that call. Then, we make sure they never talk again.”
Kate exhaled. “And how do we find out who it was?”
Rolly leaned forward, her eyes gleaming with mischief. “We go to the hospital. I still have contacts there. If someone leaked the information, we’ll know.”
Kate hesitated for only a second before nodding. She had already come this far. There was no turning back now.
A while later, Kate and Rolly pulled up to the hospital, their sunglasses shielding their faces as they stepped inside.
Kate’s heart pounded as she approached the front desk. She forced a smile at the receptionist.
“Hi, I was wondering if I could speak with Nurse Lillian Williams?”
The receptionist frowned. “Lillian Williams?I’m sorry, but she resigned this morning.”
Kate’s blood ran cold.
Rolly placed a hand on Kate’s back before stepping forward.
“Oh no, that’s terrible. We were actually close friends of hers. Do you know where she went?”
The receptionist eyed them suspiciously. “She didn’t say. Just packed up and left.”
Kate clenched her fists.
Someone had scared Lillian off.
And she had a sinking feeling she knew exactly who it was.
Rolly linked arms with Kate and led her away from the desk, lowering her voice. “We need to find her before Ryan does.”
She exhaled sharply, nodding.
~
Kate’s hands were shaking as she and Rolly walked briskly toward the hospital exit.
Her mind was spinning. Lillian Williams—the one person who could expose everything—had resigned and disappeared overnight.
“This isn’t a coincidence,” Kate muttered under her breath as they stepped into the parking lot. “Someone got to her.”
Rolly pulled out her phone and started typing. “I’ll check if she has any social media. Maybe she left a clue.”
Kate exhaled sharply, glancing around as if expecting someone to jump out and accuse her of lying.
The weight of everything felt suffocating. If Ryan found Lillian before they did, it would be the end of everything.
“Found her!” Rolly exclaimed, showing Kate her phone.
Lillian’s latest post was from last night, a blurry picture of a suitcase in the backseat of a car.
The caption read: Starting over. New beginnings. Goodbye, old life.
Kate’s stomach dropped. “Where is she going?”
Rolly scrolled through the comments. One of Lillian’s friends had replied: Safe travels! We’ll miss you in Arizona!
Arizona.
“She’s leaving the city,” Kate breathed. “We have to stop her before she leaves.”
Rolly smirked. “Already on it. I have a friend at the airport. Let’s go.”
Without wasting another second, they ran to the car and sped off toward the airport

Ryan stood by his office window, watching the skyline as his mind raced. His assistant, Jefferson, walked in again.
“Sir, I’ve looked into the call from last night,” Jefferson said, placing a document on the table.
“It came from the private hospital downtown. The number was registered under a nurse named Lillian Williams.”
Ryan turned slowly, his eyes darkening.
“Lillian Williams?”
“Yes, sir. She worked the night shift at the hospital Ms Kate was admitted to. However…” Jefferson hesitated.
Ryan narrowed his gaze. “However, what?”
Jefferson cleared his throat. “She resigned this morning. No explanation, no notice—just up and left.”
Ryan’s stomach clenched.
Something wasn’t right.
Someone was covering their tracks.
And now, he was going to find out exactly why she suddenly left after the call had ended abruptly the previous night.
~
Ryan’s fingers tapped against the armrest of his car as his driver pulled up outside the hospital. His expression was unreadable, but inside, his blood was boiling.
Something told him he was being played.
And he was done playing.
Jefferson turned in the passenger seat, glancing at Ryan. “Should I arrange a private investigator to track the Lillian lady?”
Ryan’s lips curled into a slow, dangerous smirk.
“No need.” He stepped out of the car, adjusting his cuffs. “I’ll handle this myself.”
~
Ryan strode through the hospital lobby, his cold gaze scanning the nurses and doctors bustling around.
He wasn’t here for polite conversations—he was here for answers. Since he already got the nurse's name, it would be easy for him to ask about her.
He reached the front desk, his voice sharp and commanding. “Hey, I need information on a former nurse. Lillian Williams.”
The receptionist stiffened, clearly recognizing him. “Lillian Williams? I… I’m sorry, Mr. Winters, but I can’t disclose patient or employee information. It is against the hospital policy.”
Ryan arched a brow.
“Against the hospital policy, huh? Are you sure about this? Can you keep up with your words?”
He asks as he pulls out his phone and places it on the counter. A large donation transaction hovered on the screen.
“This is a little compared to what I could give you if you spill out what I need to know.”
The receptionist’s eyes widened. “Uh… well, I can’t officially say anything, but I did hear she booked a flight this morning to Boston.”
Boston.
Ryan’s jaw tightened.
Jefferson, standing behind him, immediately started dialing numbers. “I’ll have our contacts at the airport hold her.”
Ryan nodded once, his lips pressing into a firm line. “Good. I want to speak to her before she gets on that plane.”
