Rejected By My Mate; Claimed By Lycan Quadruplets Chapter 315

Ryan stood outside the hospital room, clutching a bouquet of fresh roses and a small bag filled with gifts.

His heart pounded heavily against his chest, each beat a reminder of his guilt.

I’ve hurt her so much.

I can’t undo what’s happened, but I have to make things right, he thought, taking a deep breath before pushing the door open.

Inside, Mrs. Winters sat beside Kate’s hospital bed, her face stern and cold.

Kate was lounging against her pillows, munching on slices of apples from the fruit basket Rolly had brought earlier.

The moment Ryan walked in, both women looked up.

Mrs. Winters scoffed loudly, rolling her eyes.

“Well, look who finally decided to show up,” she muttered bitterly, crossing her arms.

Ryan ignored her sharp tone and walked straight to Kate, placing the bouquet gently on her lap.

“These are for you,” he said softly, his voice filled with regret.

Kate’s eyes flickered with curiosity.

“What’s he up to now?” she thought but kept her face neutral.

She accepted the flowers with a small, forced smile.

“Thank you,” she murmured, pretending to be touched.

Without missing a beat, Ryan placed the gift bag on the side table.

“I know these gifts can’t even compare to what we’ve lost,” he began, his voice trembling slightly.

“But I’m truly sorry, Kate. I’ve been so blind, so stupid… I took you for granted, and I’ll regret that for the rest of my life.”

Kate blinked slowly, suppressing the smirk threatening to curl at the corners of her lips.

“I… I don’t know what to say, Ryan,” she whispered, her eyes glistening with fake tears.

“It’s been hard, but hearing you say that means a lot.”

Mrs. Winters nodded approvingly, watching the scene unfold.

Rolly, who sat quietly in the corner, fought the urge to laugh. “This is better than any soap opera,” she thought.

Ryan pulled a chair closer to Kate’s bed and sat down, taking her hand gently.

“I promise to make amends,” he continued. “No more neglect. No more mistakes.”

Kate squeezed his hand lightly, pretending to be emotional.

“I just wish our baby was still here to hear that,” she whispered, dabbing the corner of her eyes with a tissue.

The room fell into silence, heavy with fake grief and real manipulation.

After a few minutes, Ryan stood up.

“I’ll go see the doctor to settle the hospital bills,” he said, his voice steady. “Mom, do you want to come with me?”

Mrs. Winters stood immediately.

“Of course. Let’s go.”

As soon as the door closed behind them, Rolly burst into laughter.

“God, Kate! You should win an Oscar for that performance!”

Kate chuckled, shaking her head.

“I know, right? If acting paid as much as being Ryan’s fiancée, I’d consider it.”

Rolly leaned in, lowering her voice.

“But seriously, you’ve got him wrapped around your finger now. That guilt is eating him alive.”

Kate smirked.

“Exactly what I wanted.”

Meanwhile, outside the room, Ryan and Mrs. Winters walked down the hallway toward the billing office.

Mrs. Winters glanced at her son.

“I’m glad you’re finally back to your senses,” she said sharply.

“I was beginning to think Serena had completely destroyed you.”

Ryan’s jaw tightened at the mention of Serena.

“She didn’t destroy me. She just… blinded me. But not anymore.”

Mrs. Winters patted his shoulder.

“That’s my boy.”

After settling the bills, they returned to Kate’s room.

Ryan helped her get ready, packing her things and supporting her as they left the hospital.

At the parking lot, Mrs. Winters hugged Kate tightly.

“Take care of yourself, dear,” she said warmly. “And don’t worry. We’ll make sure justice is served.”

Kate nods without saying a word.

Ryan helped Kate into his car and drove off, leaving Mrs. Winters with Rolly.

As they watched the car disappear, Mrs. Winters turned to Rolly.

“Do you know where Serena is staying?” she asked sharply.

Rolly nodded without hesitation.

“Yes, I do.”

“Good. Give me the address.”

Rolly smirked, pulling out her phone to send the location.

“There. Sent.”

Mrs. Winters smiled coldly.

“Thank you. You’ve been very helpful.”

She offered to drop Rolly off at her apartment, and Rolly accepted, enjoying the ride in Mrs. Winters’ luxurious car.

After dropping her off, Mrs. Winters drove straight to the police station.

Inside the station, she met with an officer, her face filled with righteous indignation.

“My son’s fiancée was assaulted,” she announced loudly. “I demand justice.”

The officer, recognizing her immediately, nodded respectfully.

“We’ll handle it, Mrs. Winters. Please provide the details.”

She recounted the fabricated story with dramatic flair, emphasizing how Serena had pushed Kate, causing the miscarriage.

Given the Winters’ influence, the police wasted no time.

That night, a team of officers headed straight to Serena’s apartment with an arrest warrant.

Serena was in her living room, reading emails on her laptop when the doorbell rang.

She frowned, glancing at the clock. Who could that be at this hour?

She opened the door and froze. Two uniformed officers stood there.

“Serena Winthrop?” one of them asked.

“Yes?”

“You’re under arrest for assault and causing a miscarriage,” the officer said, showing her the warrant.

Serena’s heart raced.

“What? That’s ridiculous! I didn’t do anything!”

“You can explain at the station. Please come with us.”

Panicked, Serena grabbed her phone and called Emma, her assistant.

“Emma, I’m being arrested. Please come to my apartment. Take Amy and stay with her until I sort this out. Also, I’m sending a contact to you, call him and tell him what’s going on.”

Emma’s voice was filled with confusion and concern.

“What? Arrested? Why?”

“I don’t have time to explain. Just get here quickly and call the contact.” She snapped before ending the call and sent the text to Emma.

Then, Serena turned to the officers, her heart pounding.

“Please… let me kiss my daughter goodnight.”

One of the officers nodded.

Serena rushed to Amy’s room, her chest tightening as she watched her little girl sleeping peacefully.

She bent down, kissing her forehead softly.

“I love you, baby,” she whispered, tears filling her eyes. “Mommy will be back soon.”

She wiped her face quickly, squared her shoulders, and followed the officers out, hoping everything would be okay.
