Ryan held Amy’s tiny hand as they stepped out of the office building, the afternoon sun casting a golden hue over the bustling city.

Amy was practically bouncing on her feet, excitement radiating from her as she looked up at her father with a big grin.

“Daddy, where are we going first?” she asked eagerly, swinging their hands back and forth.

Ryan chuckled at her energy. “Anywhere you want, princess. Today is all about you.”

Amy’s eyes widened with excitement. “Really?! Anything I want?”

Ryan nodded. “Anything.”

Amy clapped her hands together, deep in thought.

Her little brows furrowed as she tried to decide, and then, as if a lightbulb went off in her head, she gasped.

“I want ice cream first!” she declared, her voice filled with enthusiasm.

Ryan smirked. “Ice cream before lunch? Are you sure?”

Amy nodded vigorously, her curls bouncing.

“Yes! Mommy never lets me, but since you’re in charge today…” She gave him an innocent but mischievous smile.

Ryan sighed in mock defeat, shaking his head. “Alright, ice cream it is.”

“Yay!” Amy cheered, jumping slightly.

Ryan led her to his car, buckled her in securely, and drove toward one of the best ice cream shops in the city.

As they pulled up in front of a charming little shop with pastel-colored decorations, Amy let out a gasp.

“Wow! It looks like a candy house!” she exclaimed, her eyes darting around to take in every detail.

The shop’s windows had painted ice cream cones, and there was a giant sundae statue right outside the entrance.

Ryan chuckled. “Wait until you see what’s inside.”

The moment they stepped in, the scent of freshly made waffle cones filled the air, and Amy’s eyes grew even wider as she took in the glass display cases filled with endless flavors of ice cream.

“What flavor do you want, princess?” Ryan asked, bending slightly so they were at the same level.

Amy tapped her chin dramatically, as if making the most important decision of her life.

“Hmm… I want strawberries, chocolate, and… bubblegum!”

Ryan raised an eyebrow. “Three flavors? That’s a lot.”

Amy pouted, batting her eyelashes. “But you said anything I want.”

Ryan sighed, unable to resist her charm. “Fine, three flavors it is.” He turned to the vendor.

“One triple scoop cone, please.”

Amy did a little happy dance as she watched the vendor scoop the ice cream, carefully stacking the layers before handing it over.

Ryan paid, then led her to a cozy booth near the window.

Amy took her first lick and let out a satisfied sigh. “Mmm! This is the best day ever!”

Ryan smiles, watching her enjoy herself. “I’m glad you’re happy, sweetheart.”

She grinned up at him. “Are you going to get ice cream too, Daddy?”

Ryan shook his head. “I think I’ll just steal a bite from yours.”

Amy gasped dramatically, pulling her ice cream closer. “Nooo, Daddy! You should get your own!”

Ryan chuckled. “Alright, alright.” He went back to the counter and got himself a simple vanilla cone before returning to his seat.

As they enjoyed their ice cream, Amy suddenly looked up at him. “Daddy, can we go to the aquarium next?”

Ryan nodded. “Of course. But finish your ice cream first.”

Amy quickly ate the last of her cone, getting chocolate on her nose in the process.

Ryan chuckled, grabbing a napkin and gently wiping her face.

“Messy little princess,” he teased.

Amy giggled. “I was just enjoying it too much!”

Ryan took her hand and led her back to the car, driving toward the city’s largest aquarium.

When they arrived, Amy practically jumped out of her seat.

“Wow! It’s so big!” she squealed, staring at the massive building.

The entrance had a giant blue whale model hanging above it, making it look even more magical.

Ryan smiles. “Wait until you see what’s inside.”

They walked into the aquarium, greeted by enormous tanks filled with colorful fish.

Amy gasped, pressing her hands against the glass.

“Look, Daddy! That fish is so big!” she pointed at a massive stingray gliding past.

Ryan knelt beside her. “That’s a stingray. Want to touch one?”

Amy gasped. “Can I?!”

Ryan nodded, leading her to the touch tank where a staff member guided them.

Amy hesitated at first but giggled as she lightly touched the smooth back of the stingray.

“It feels so funny!” she laughed.

Ryan smiles. “I’m proud of you for being brave.”

Amy grinned up at him. “I want to see more!”

They explored different sections, watching jellyfish float like glowing balloons, and even stepping into a tunnel where sharks swam above them.

Amy clutched Ryan’s hand tightly.

“Daddy, are they scary?”

Ryan shook his head. “Not if you respect them. They’re just swimming like any other fish.”

Amy nodded. “I think they look kinda cool.”

Ryan smiles. “Yeah, they do.”

After spending over an hour at the aquarium, Ryan checked the time. “What do you want to do next?”

Amy thought for a moment. “I want to go to the amusement park!”

Ryan smirked. “Are you sure? You’re not too tired?”

Amy shook her head. “Nope! I have lots of energy!”

Ryan chuckled. “Alright then. Amusement park it is.”

They drove to the amusement park, and as soon as they arrived, Amy’s face lit up at the sight of the colorful rides and the smell of popcorn and cotton candy in the air.

“Yay! This is the best!” she cheered.

Ryan bought tickets and let Amy pick the first ride. She pointed at the merry-go-round.

“I want to ride the horses!”

Ryan led her onto the carousel, lifting her onto a white horse before sitting beside her.

As the ride started, Amy giggled, holding onto the pole.

“This is fun, Daddy!”

Ryan grinned behind her.

“I’m glad you’re having fun, princess.”

After the merry-go-round, they went on more rides—bumper cars, a kiddie roller coaster, and even a spinning teacup ride that made Amy burst into laughter.

When they finally took a break, Ryan bought her cotton candy. Amy happily tore off pieces, offering some to him.

“Daddy, do you like cotton candy?”

Ryan smiles, taking a piece. “It’s pretty good.”

Amy giggled. “Mommy doesn’t let me eat this much sugar.”

Ryan smirked. “Then let’s not tell her.”

Amy gasped playfully. “It’ll be our little secret!”

Ryan chuckled, ruffling her hair. “That’s right.”

After a few more rides, Amy started yawning. Ryan smiled, lifting her into his arms.

“Tired now?” he asked.

Amy nodded sleepily, resting her head on his shoulder. “Today was the best day ever…”

Ryan held her close, his heart warm.

He had missed so much, but today, he had made memories that he would never forget.

And as he carried her back to the car, he promised himself—he would never let anything take him away from his daughter again.
