Rejected By My Mate; Claimed By Lycan Quadruplets Chapter 321

Serena stirred awake as the morning sunlight streamed through the curtains, casting a warm glow over her bedroom.

She blinked a few times, adjusting to the brightness before sitting up and stretching her arms above her head.

Today was the day she was returning to her company and finally going to put an end to the rumors.

They’ve done too much trying to drag her name down the muds. For what reason exactly? This, she doesn’t know.

It’s not as though she’s in their way, yet they won’t let her have some breathing space.

“I already have this good feeling this morning and I just can’t wait to get everything back on track, leaving my enemies behind and speechless!” Serena uttered, smirking widely into space.

She got out of bed and made her way to the bathroom, splashing cold water on her face to wake herself up properly.

After brushing her teeth and tidying up, she walked to the kitchen and started preparing breakfast.

The smell of toast and scrambled eggs filled the air as she set the table, pouring orange juice into two glasses.

Once everything was ready, she wiped her hands on a towel and headed towards Amy’s room.

She opened the door quietly and smiled at the sight of her daughter curled up under her pink blanket, hugging her stuffed bunny.

“So sweet… My sugar plum. The only person I could go extra miles for without having to think twice about it.” Serena cooed, as she stood staring down at Amy’s sleeping form.

The sight of her daughter was enough to warm her heart and give her the strength she needed to get through that day.

She finally walked over and sat on the edge of the bed, brushing a strand of hair away from Amy’s face.

“Good morning, sweetheart. Mama’s treasure, Mama’s little princess.” she said softly, grinning from ear to ear.

Amy groaned, burying her face into her pillow. “Mmm… five more minutes, Mummy. I still feel so damn sleepy…”

Serena chuckled. “Nope, sleepyhead. Breakfast is ready, and we have a long day ahead of us.”

Amy peeked one eye open. “What are we doing today?”

“We’ll talk about it over breakfast,” Serena replied. “But first, you need to get up and get freshened up. Stop lazing around, princess.”

Amy sighed dramatically but sat up, rubbing her eyes. “Fine… fine! You’re always good at ruining my pretty sleep and it’s frustrating, mummy.”

Serena laughed, giving her a kiss on the forehead. “That’s my girl. Now, let’s get you washed up.”

“Okay…” Amy mumbles dramatically and finally gets out of bed, sluggishly.

After helping Amy get dressed in her favorite yellow dress, they went to the dining room and sat down to eat.

Amy immediately reached for her fork and took a big bite of her eggs.

“Mmm! This is so good,” she said, chewing happily.

“I’m glad you like it,” Serena said with a smile.

As they ate, Amy glanced up at her mother. “Mommy, why haven’t I been going to school? Did I do something wrong?”

Serena’s smile faltered. She set her fork down and reached for Amy’s small hand.

“Oh, sweetheart, you didn’t do anything wrong. It’s just… Mommy has to take care of something first. Once everything is settled, you’ll be able to go back to school, okay?”

Amy tilted her head. “Is it because of the things people are saying about us?”

Serena’s heart clenched. “Who told you that?”

Amy shrugged. “Nobody. I just heard you talking on the phone yesterday.”

Serena sighed. “Sometimes, people say things that aren’t true because they don’t know the whole story. But I promise you, I’m going to fix it.”

Amy’s eyes searched her mother’s face. “You promise?”

“I promise,” Serena said firmly. “Now, finish your food so we can get ready to go.”

Amy nodded and quickly ate the rest of her breakfast while Serena cleared the table.

Just as she was rinsing the dishes, her phone rang. Seeing Emma’s name on the screen, she wiped her hands and answered.

“Good morning, Emma.”

“Good Morning, Ma’am Serena,” Emma replied. “I’ve organized all the documents you requested. Everything is ready for the press conference.”

Serena sighed in relief. “That’s great news. I just want to clear this mess up once and for all.”

“I understand, Ma’am,” Emma said. “I’ve also contacted the media. A lot of them have confirmed they’ll be attending knowing this was going to be a trending topic.”

“Perfect,” Serena said. “Let’s schedule it for this afternoon. Make sure the conference room is set up properly.”

“Already taken care of,” Emma assured her.

“Thank you,” Serena said sincerely. “I don’t know what I’d do without you.”

Emma chuckled. “Well, you’d probably survive, but it wouldn’t be as easy.”

Serena smiled. “True.”

After hanging up, she turned to Amy, who was watching her curiously.

“Mommy, is everything okay?”

Serena walked over and crouched down to her daughter’s level. “Yes, baby. Everything is fine. Mommy just has a lot of work to do today.”

Amy hesitated. “Can I come with you?”

Serena thought for a moment before nodding. “Of course, sweetheart. Let’s get your shoes on.”

Amy grinned and ran to get her shoes while Serena grabbed her purse and keys.

As they got into the car, Amy hugged her stuffed bunny close to her chest.

Serena started the engine and pulled out of the driveway. The ride was quiet for a while, with Amy staring out the window.

“Mommy,” she suddenly spoke up, “will there be cameras at your work today?”

Serena glanced at her through the rearview mirror. “Yes, there will be. Is there a problem, sweetheart?”

Amy frowned. “Why?”

“Because Mommy needs to tell everyone the truth,” Serena explained.

“About me?” Amy asked.

Serena hesitated but nodded. “Yes, baby. About you.”

Amy looked down at her bunny. “Will they be nice to us?”

Serena felt a pang in her chest. She reduced her speed, reached back and squeezed Amy’s hand. “I will make sure they are. But don’t you ever have the thought ever again, okay?

Amy nodded slowly. “Okay.”

Serena focused on the road, hoping she was doing a good job at being a mother.
