Rejected By My Mate; Claimed By Lycan Quadruplets Chapter 387

The private jet was cruising at 40,000 feet, its sleek interior exuding nothing but luxury.

The leather seats, polished wood finishes, and soft golden lighting gave it the feel of an exclusive boardroom in the sky.

Thomas Winters sat comfortably in his seat, one leg crossed over the other, a glass of scotch resting in his hand.

Despite the smooth hum of the aircraft engines and the tranquility of being away from prying eyes, Thomas’s mind was far from relaxed.

His meeting with Sophia had stirred something in him—a renewed determination. He had made her a promise, and Thomas Winters never made promises he didn’t intend to keep.

He was going to take everything from Ryan.

Seated across from him was Marcus Sterling, his trusted assistant and right-hand man for the past fifteen years.

A man as sharp as he was ruthless, Marcus had been instrumental in handling Thomas’s more… delicate business dealings. And today was no different.

Marcus had his tablet open, scanning through multiple files, occasionally flipping through a thick folder filled with confidential documents. He adjusted his glasses, his face serious as he began his report.

“Sir,” Marcus started, his voice smooth and professional, “we’ve compiled everything you asked for regarding Winters Corp. We have an extensive breakdown of the company’s financials, current investments, board compositions, and—most importantly—the weaknesses.”

Thomas smirked, taking a slow sip of his scotch before setting the glass down. “Go on.”

Marcus slid a document across the polished table between them. “First, let’s start with the financial health of the company. On paper, everything looks stable. Profits are solid, and stockholders remain confident.”

Thomas arched his brow. “That’s disappointing news, Marcus. I don’t like stability when it benefits my enemy.”

Marcus chuckled, flipping the page. “It’s stable—for now. But as with any empire, there are cracks beneath the surface. We just need to widen them.” He tapped the document. “One of the biggest vulnerabilities right now is Ryan’s expansion strategy. He’s aggressively acquiring smaller firms, particularly in the tech sector. While this looks great from a growth perspective, it’s leaving the company highly leveraged—too many financial obligations, not enough liquidity.”

Thomas nodded, already seeing the potential. “So you’re telling me he’s playing a dangerous game with borrowed money?”

Marcus smirked. “Exactly. His overconfidence is going to be his downfall. If we push things in the right direction, we can create an illusion of instability—shake the confidence of the board, the stockholders, and potential investors. Once that happens, they’ll start questioning his leadership.”

Thomas leaned back, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. “How do we accelerate that process?”

Marcus flipped to another section of the report, this time revealing a list of influential board members. “Several key board members already have concerns about Ryan’s approach. They supported him when he took over, but now? They’re beginning to worry that his ambition is outpacing his ability to manage risk.”

Thomas’s smirk deepened. “And worry leads to doubt. Doubt leads to discontent. Discontent leads to mutiny.”

Marcus nodded. “Precisely. Now, if we strategically place doubt in the right ears, they’ll start questioning whether Ryan is really fit to lead Winters Corp.”

Thomas reached for his glass, taking another sip. “And how do we place that doubt?”

Marcus leaned forward slightly. “A few ways. First, we have discreet financial analysts we can use to publish critical reports on Ryan’s leadership. Reports that highlight his risky decisions, potential downfalls, and how his recent acquisitions could be putting the company in jeopardy. Once those reports start circulating, it will trigger concern among stockholders.”

Thomas tapped the rim of his glass. “That’s a good start. But it’s not enough to unseat him.”

Marcus smirked. “That’s where our second move comes in—leverage internal discord. We start pushing some of these board members into the idea that perhaps a change in leadership would be beneficial.”

Thomas exhaled, his smirk widening. “And who better to take the reins than me?”

Marcus chuckled. “Exactly. But we can’t make it look like a direct takeover. It needs to seem like the board’s decision, not an external attack.”

Thomas nodded, already seeing the bigger picture forming. “We’ll make them believe they’re the ones pulling the strings while, in reality, we control everything from the shadows.”

Marcus tapped on his tablet, pulling up another set of files. “There’s also another route we can explore—digging into Ryan’s personal life.”

Thomas raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “Go on.”

Marcus slid another file across the table. “Ryan has been publicly engaged to Kate for a while now, but there are whispers that things aren’t as solid as they seem. And, of course, there’s the Serena factor.”

Thomas clenched his jaw slightly at the mention of Serena, his expression turning cold.

Marcus continued, “There’s speculation in certain circles that Ryan still has lingering attachments to Serena. If we can stir up a personal scandal—something that makes him look unsteady, distracted—it will only add to the board’s concerns.”

Thomas leaned back, considering the implications. “If the board starts seeing him as an unreliable leader, his position becomes even more vulnerable.”

Marcus smirked. “Exactly. Which is why we should keep an eye on his movements—especially his interactions with Serena.”

Thomas exhaled, drumming his fingers against the table. “Have we planted anyone close to him?”

Marcus nodded. “We have an inside source. Someone within the company who is keeping us informed of internal discussions. If anything shifts, we’ll know about it immediately.”

Thomas’s smirk returned. “Good. Keep applying pressure. Make sure the board keeps questioning his leadership. If we do this right, by the time we make our move, they’ll be begging for change.”

Marcus chuckled. “And when that happens, you’ll walk back into Winters Corp as the true leader.”

Thomas raised his glass. “To reclaim what’s rightfully mine.”

Marcus clinked his own glass against Thomas’s before taking a sip.

As the plane continued its smooth journey toward Los Angeles, Thomas stared out the window, the city lights beginning to appear faintly in the distance.

His plan was already in motion.

And soon, Ryan Winters would have nothing left.

“If I could get rid of him, who is Ryan?” He thought with a smirk plastered on his face.
