Rejected By My Mate; Claimed By Lycan Quadruplets Chapter 282
Kate stormed into Rolly’s apartment, her heels clicking angrily against the hardwood floor.
She threw her handbag onto the couch and crossed her arms tightly, fuming.
“Can you believe this, Rolly? Ryan didn’t even bother to call me when he arrived, and when I tried calling him, he ignored my calls! The moment he eventually picked up, he was giving me stories.
I mean, who forgets to reach out to his woman? Ryan has changed a lot and it hurts.
This isn’t the Ryan I had fallen in love with. The Ryan I knew would never spend a day without reaching out to me and getting to know how I’m doing.”
Rolly, who was sitting on the couch with a cup of tea, sighed and shook her head.
“Kate, you need to calm down, okay? You’re always so worked up over him.
I’m beginning to think this guy isn’t worth you in any way and I’m tired of you chasing him all over like a balloon! Are you sure you want to keep pushing things with Ryan?”
Kate’s eyes widened in disbelief.
“What do you mean by that? Of course, I want to! Ryan is mine, Rolly, and I won’t let anyone take him away from me! I know something is definitely wrong.
I feel like someone is manipulating my man against me and I know it's Serena that caused this sudden change to Ryan!”
Rolly gave her a skeptical look.
“Kate, listen to yourself. Ryan has been acting like… well, like someone who doesn’t love you anymore.
Now, it isn’t about Serena anymore because you said it yourself that your planned work and Ryan isn’t seeing Serena anymore!
Which means, he is just not into you anymore! The better you know this on time, the better for you and I Kate.”
“Don’t say that!” Kate snapped, pointing a finger at Rolly.
“I don’t ever want to hear you say that again! Ryan loves me, okay? He’s just… busy with work, that’s all. Ryan can’t stop loving me! He wouldn’t dare!” She panicked as she glared at Rolly.
Rolly sighed again and patted the space next to her. “Come sit down, Kate. You’re getting too worked up over this.”
Kate hesitated but eventually sat down with a huff.
“I just… I don’t get it, Rolly. Why is he acting like this? He used to be so different.”
Rolly handed her a cup of tea.
“People change, Kate. And sometimes, you need to realize when it’s time to move on.”
Kate shook her head fiercely.
“I’m not moving on. Ryan is mine, and he’s going to stay mine. I’ll make sure of it.”
Rolly frowned but decided not to push further. Instead, she changed the subject. “You haven’t eaten all day, have you?”
Kate shrugged. “I wasn’t in the mood.”
Rolly stood up and walked to the kitchen.
“Well, you need to eat something. Let me whip up something quick for you.”
Kate leaned back against the couch, staring at her phone. She scrolled through her messages, hoping to see one from Ryan, but nothing. She sighed in frustration.
“Why is he doing this to me, Rolly?”
Rolly came back with a plate of sandwiches.
“Maybe he’s just focused on work, Kate. You have to stop overthinking.”
Kate took a bite, chewing slowly. “Maybe you’re right… but I can’t shake the feeling that something’s off.”
Meanwhile, across town, Serena had decided to spend her Saturday at home with Amy instead of going to the office.
She smiled as she watched Amy run around the living room, her laughter filling the house with warmth.
“Mommy, come play with me!” Amy giggled, tugging on Serena’s hand.
Serena laughed and put down the book she was reading. “Alright, alright! What do you want to play?”
Amy pointed to her toys on the floor. “Tea party!”
Serena sat cross-legged on the carpet and helped Amy arrange the tiny tea cups and plates. “Okay, Miss Amy, what are we having today?”
Amy grinned. “Cookies and juice!”
Serena played along, pretending to sip from the tiny cup. “Mmm, delicious! Did you make this all by yourself?”
Amy nodded proudly. “Yes, Mommy!”
They laughed and continued playing until Serena’s phone rang. She picked it up, seeing Nathan’s name on the screen.
“Hello?” Serena answered, holding the phone to her ear.
“Hey, Serena,” Nathan’s deep voice came through. “Where are you right now?”
“I’m at home with Amy,” she replied, watching Amy play with her dolls.
“Great,” Nathan said. “Get yourself and Amy dressed. There’s a function I’d love for you both to attend with me.”
Serena hesitated. “Nathan, I don’t think—”
“Don’t think too much,” Nathan cut in with a chuckle. “I’ll be at your place in an hour. Text me your address.”
Serena sighed but found herself smiling. “Alright, alright. I’ll text you.”
After the call, Amy looked up at Serena curiously. “Mommy, who was that?”
Serena smiled. “Nathan wants to take us out today.”
Amy’s face lit up. “Really? Yay!” She started dancing around the living room. “I get to go out with Mr Nathan!”
Serena laughed. “Come on, let’s get dressed before he gets here.”
They both got ready, with Amy picking out her favorite pink dress and Serena opting for a simple yet elegant outfit.
Soon enough, the doorbell rang, and Serena opened it to find Nathan standing there, looking sharp in a suit. He smiled. “Wow, you two look amazing.”
Amy beamed. “Thank you, Mr Nathan!”
Serena smiled shyly. “Thanks, you look good too.”
Nathan smirked. “Ready to have some fun?”
“Oh yes!” Amy and Serena yelled out, giggling.
They headed to the event Nathan had planned, and the venue was buzzing with people, music, and laughter.
Nathan introduced Serena to a few of his friends while Amy enjoyed playing with other kids.
As the night went on, Nathan and Serena shared laughter, good food, and danced a little. Nathan leaned closer to Serena at one point. “See? It’s good to take a break sometimes.”
Serena smiled. “Yeah… you were right.”
By the time they drove back home, Amy was fast asleep in the backseat. Nathan pulled up in front of Serena’s house. She carefully carried Amy out of the car and waved at him.
“Thanks for today, Nathan,” she said softly.
He smiled. “Anytime, Serena. Goodnight.”
She watched as he drove off before heading inside with Amy in her arms.
Meanwhile, Bianca sat in her bedroom, fresh out of the shower, scrolling through her phone when a notification popped up.
It was an email from the private investigator she had hired.
As she opened it and saw the attached pictures, her face twisted with rage.
There was Serena, smiling and laughing with Nathan at the event, looking happier than ever.
With a furious growl, Bianca flung everything off her makeup stand, sending bottles and brushes crashing to the floor.
“That lying little witch!” she hissed.
She gritted her teeth, her hands trembling.
“She said it was just her and her daughter… but here she is, running around with my man!”
Bianca clenched her fists.
“I swear, Serena, I’ll make sure you regret ever crossing my path. You’ll wish you never met Nathan.”
Her eyes darkened with determination.
She would ruin Serena completely—no matter what it took.
