Rejected By My Mate; Claimed By Lycan Quadruplets Chapter 265
Ryan gripped the steering wheel tightly, his knuckles turning white as his foot pressed harder on the gas.
His jaw clenched, and a string of curses left his lips. “I can’t believe it,” he muttered under his breath. “All this time… I trusted her. I would never have believed she was a green snake under the green grass.”
Kate sat quietly at the passenger’s seat beside him, her hands folded neatly on her lap, watching him out of the corner of her eye.
She didn’t want to say anything just yet. Let him stew in his own thoughts.
“How could I have been so blind?” Ryan slammed his hand against the wheel, his face twisted in frustration.
“I married her… because my family thought she was the best choice. And all along, she was the one who tore us apart!”
Kate bit her lip, feigning sadness.
“Ryan,” she finally said, her voice soft and trembling.
“I… I never wanted to tell you because I didn’t want you to hate her. But I couldn’t live with the pain anymore. I had to tell you the truth.”
Ryan sighed heavily, his chest rising and falling.
“You should have told me sooner, Kate,” he said, shaking his head. “I wasted so many years with her when I could have been with you.”
Kate reached over and placed her hand over his.
“You were blinded by her lies…,” she whispered. “It’s not your fault.”
Ryan pulled into his driveway and shut off the engine. He turned to her, his eyes filled with regret.
“Kate… I’m sorry. I’m so sorry for everything you went through. For how I ignored you all these months… I should have been there for you.”
Kate wiped a tear from her cheek, sniffing for effect.
“I never blamed you, Ryan,” she said, looking down at her hands. “I just wanted you to know the truth and make things right.”
Ryan ran a hand through his hair, frustration still evident in his posture.
“I don’t know what to do now. Everything feels… messed up.”
Kate hesitated, then softly said, “Well… we have a baby on the way now. Maybe it’s time to think about what’s best for our future.”
Ryan looked at her, uncertainty flickering in his eyes. “Kate…”
She took a deep breath and spoke gently.
“Ryan, the baby deserves to be born into a stable home. We should be married before he or she arrives. You know it won’t look good for the Winter family’s heir to be born out of wedlock.”
Ryan leaned back against his seat, staring at the ceiling of the car.
“Marriage…” he muttered under his breath. “I need to think about it, Kate. This is… a lot.”
Kate gave him a small smile.
“Take your time, Ryan. I’m not pressuring you. I just want us to be a family again, like we were meant to be before Serena came in and ruined it with her lies..”
Ryan nodded slowly, and Kate could see the hesitation in his eyes, but she knew she’d planted the seed.
She reached for his hand again, squeezing it gently. “Let’s go inside,” she said sweetly.
Inside the house, Kate followed Ryan to the living room and settled on the couch. She looked up at him with soft eyes.
“Ryan, I’ve missed you,” she whispered, reaching up to touch his cheek.
He hesitated for a moment, but then he leaned into her touch. “I’ve missed you too,” he admitted.
Kate smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck, pressing her lips to his.
To her surprise, he didn’t pull away. Instead, he picked her up in his arms and carried her upstairs to his room.
That night, they stripped off their clothes, and for the first time in months, Kate felt like she had truly won.
Ryan had put in all his effort to make sure she got all the satisfaction she needed.
He trailed kisses all over her body, sucked on her toes and sucked the delicate button in between her legs and she had almost gone crazy.
This was the most amazing aspect she had missed about Ryan. He was just too good with giving her all the satisfaction she needs from her man.
“You are just too good— Babe.” She cooed as she calmed down from her orgasm.
Ryan smiled at her before thrusting into her, filling her up.
The next morning, sunlight streamed through the curtains, casting a golden glow on the bed.
Kate stretched lazily, turning to the side and reaching out—only to find the other side of the bed empty.
Her brows furrowed, and she sat up. “Ryan?” she called, but there was no response.
As she turned to get out of bed, her eyes landed on a small note sitting on the nightstand. She picked it up and read it.
‘Kate, I had to leave early for a meeting. Breakfast is in the kitchen. See you later.’
A slow, satisfied smile spread across her face as she read it over and over again.
“He made me breakfast,” she murmured to herself, feeling victorious.
She quickly grabbed her phone and dialed Rolly. The phone barely rang before Rolly answered.
“Kate! So? How did it go?” Rolly’s excited voice came through the phone.
Kate couldn’t hide her excitement.
“Rolly, it’s happening. Ryan apologized to me last night. He even said he missed me! And guess what? We spent the night together! He did so many crazy things to my body and I just wanted more—”
Rolly squealed in excitement. “Oh my God, Kate! I told you! I told you this would work!”
Kate laughed, lying back down on the bed. “Not just that, Rolly. He made me breakfast. He’s softening up already.”
Rolly gasped. “Girl, you’re in! Now all you need to do is make sure he doesn’t change his mind.”
Kate twirled her hair between her fingers.
“I know. I told him we need to get married soon because of the baby. He said he’d think about it, but I know I’ve got him where I want him.”
Rolly chuckled. “Keep up the tears and the innocent act, Kate. Make him feel guilty every second.”
Kate grinned. “I don’t even need to act much. He’s already regretting everything.”
Rolly sighed happily. “I can’t believe it, Kate. You’re going to be Mrs. Winter soon.”
Kate’s smile widened. “I know. And Serena? She’s going to be nothing but a bad memory.”
They both laughed, and Kate stretched again, feeling content. “Let’s celebrate soon, Rolly. I feel like popping a bottle of champagne.”
Rolly laughed. “You’re pregnant, Kate!”
Kate rolled her eyes.
“Stop acting weird… we both know the truth. But it’s Fine. I’ve got to keep to the act. You can drink for both of us.” She says grinning.
Rolly giggled. “Deal. We’ll celebrate soon.”
Kate ended the call, a satisfied smile on her face.
She got out of bed, feeling victorious.
Everything was finally falling into place.
“Just a little more push, Kate and everything will be yours.” She mumbled to herself, staring at her reflection in the mirror.
