Rejected By My Mate; Claimed By Lycan Quadruplets Chapter 298
Serena was seated at her desk, scrolling through some final emails when there was a knock on her office door.
Before she could respond, the door swung open, and Emma’s excited voice filled the room.
“They’re here!” Emma announced, stepping aside to let in the glam team.
First walked in a tall, elegantly dressed woman in her mid-thirties, her arms filled with designer garment bags.
She had a confident smile, a measuring tape draped around her neck, and a keen eye for fashion.
“Serena Winthrop,” she greeted smoothly, her voice dripping with professionalism. “I’m Delilah Monroe, your designer for the evening.”
Right behind her, a petite woman with bright red hair and an effervescent personality practically bounced into the room.
“And I’m Paige, your makeup artist!” she chirped, waving a brush in the air. “We are going to make you look absolutely breathtaking tonight!”
The last person to enter was a tall, lean man with sleek black hair pulled into a ponytail. He carried a case filled with hairstyling tools and flashed a charming grin.
“And I,” he said, setting his case down with a flourish, “am Milo, the one responsible for making sure your hair screams ‘elegance and power.’”
Serena chuckled at their theatrical entrance, glancing at Emma, who was practically vibrating with excitement.
“Alright, let’s get this over with,” Serena said, standing up.
Delilah clapped her hands. “First things first, darling—the dress!”
She unzipped one of the garment bags, revealing a deep sapphire gown with intricate beadwork that shimmered under the light.
Serena’s eyes widened. “That’s beautiful.”
Delilah grinned. “And that’s just the first one. We have options!”
She and Emma began hanging up several gowns around the office—some were classic and elegant, others were daring and modern.
Each one looked like it belonged on the red carpet.
“Try this one first,” Delilah said, handing Serena a crimson satin gown with a plunging neckline and a high slit.
Serena took it and disappeared into the changing room.
Minutes later, she stepped out, and Paige let out a dramatic gasp.
“Oh my god, you look like a goddess of fire!”
Milo tilted his head. “Sexy, but too bold for your usual style.”
Serena looked at herself in the mirror. The dress was stunning, but she knew it wasn’t the one.
“Next,” she said.
The next dress was a black mermaid gown with a corset bodice.
“This one is stunning,” Delilah noted. “It hugs your body in all the right places.”
Serena stepped out, and Emma gave an approving nod. “It’s gorgeous, but… maybe too dark for tonight?”
Serena sighed. “I think so too.”
She tried on two more before she finally slipped into the sapphire blue gown.
The moment she stepped out, the room fell silent.
Emma placed a hand over her mouth. “Ma’am Serena… this is it.”
Paige spun her around, making her face the mirror.
The gown was a perfect fit, flowing gracefully down her body, the beading catching the light just enough to look elegant but not overwhelming.
Serena ran her hands over the fabric, feeling an odd sense of power in the way it hugged her figure.
“This one,” she decided.
Delilah clapped her hands. “I knew it! Now, time for makeup and hair!”
Paige rushed forward, pulling out an array of brushes and palettes.
“Alright, darling, do you want soft and classy or bold and dramatic?” Paige asked.
“Something in between,” Serena answered.
Paige grinned. “Got it! Let’s get started.”
She worked meticulously, blending shades of champagne gold and deep brown to enhance Serena’s eyes.
As Paige worked, Milo prepped her hair.
“You have gorgeous hair, Serena. I think an elegant low bun with soft waves framing your face will be the perfect match for this look.”
Serena let them do their magic, occasionally glancing at Emma, who was watching with an eager expression.
“You’re really enjoying this, aren’t you?” Serena teased.
Emma grinned. “Absolutely. This is the most glamorous thing that has happened in this office!”
When the final touches were done, Paige stepped back and gestured toward the mirror.
“Alright, lady boss. Take a look.”
Serena turned to the mirror and froze.
She barely recognized herself.
Her skin looked radiant, her eyes mesmerizing, and her lips were painted in a shade of soft ruby red that enhanced her natural beauty.
The elegant gown, the flawless makeup, and the perfect hair—everything was spot on.
“Wow,” she murmured.
Emma smirked. “If the red carpet was a competition, you just won.”
Serena took a deep breath. “I’m not a fan of publicity stunts, but… since I was invited, I have to be there.”
Milo winked. “And trust me, all eyes will be on you.”
The moment Serena’s car pulled up to the red carpet, she could see the flashes of cameras from inside.
She exhaled, gripping the small silver clutch in her hand before stepping out.
The moment she did, photographers went wild.
“Miss Winthrop! Over here!”
“Look this way, Serena!”
“What are you wearing tonight?”
Serena kept her composure, walking gracefully down the carpet.
A reporter approached her. “Miss Winthrop, can we have a moment?”
She smiled politely. “Of course.”
“Rocky’s Design has been making waves in the industry. How does it feel to be the CEO of one of the fastest-growing design firms?”
Serena gave a composed nod. “It’s been a journey. We take pride in creating unique, high-quality designs, and I’m grateful for my team’s hard work.”
“What’s next for Rocky’s Design?”
Serena smiled. “Expansion, innovation, and making sure our clients get the best designs possible.”
“One last question—how are you feeling after the recent incident?”
Serena’s smile faltered slightly, but she quickly recovered.
“I’m grateful to be here,” she said. “And even more grateful for the support from everyone.”
The reporter nodded. “Thank you for your time!”
Serena nodded and finally made her way inside.
The ballroom was magnificent, filled with people in elegant gowns and tailored suits.
As she walked further in, she was stopped by two elegantly dressed women.
“Miss Winthrop!” one of them exclaimed. “It’s a pleasure to finally meet you in person.”
Serena smiled. “The pleasure is mine.”
“We heard about what happened to you. We’re so glad you’re okay,” the second woman said.
Serena nodded. “Thank you. That means a lot.”
One of them handed her a gold-trimmed business card.
“I’ve been looking into Rocky’s Design for some time. Expect a call soon—I’d love to discuss a project.”
Serena took the card with a polite smile. “I’ll be looking forward to it.”
As they parted ways, Serena sighed and made her way deeper into the room.
That was when Mr. Carter spotted her.
His eyes lit up as he approached, smiling. “Ms Serena, you look absolutely stunning tonight.”
Serena returned the smile. “Thank you, Mr. Carter. It’s good to see you.”
“Enjoy yourself,” he said, placing a hand on her shoulder. “I have a few more meetings to wrap up, but we’ll talk soon.”
As he walked away, Serena grabbed a glass of wine from a waiter and found a seat.
She sighed, sipping her drink, when suddenly—
A voice from behind her spoke.
“Well, well, well. Look who we have here.”
Serena’s body stiffened.
She recognized that voice.
