Kate stirred in her sleep, the soft glow of the bedside lamp illuminating Ryan’s bedroom.

A satisfied smile tugged at her lips as she recalled the little celebration she had last night—celebrating Serena’s downfall.

She had been so sure that Serena was done for, that the internet would rip her apart for the fake DNA results, the affairs with Ryan and now the fake recording of Steve Jacob voice of her being his mistress— His woman.

But she had no idea what was happening outside the four walls of Ryan’s house.

The loud, persistent ringing of the doorbell shattered the silence of the morning.

Kate groaned, rubbing her temples as the sound wouldn’t stop.

Who the hell was disturbing her this early? She sat up, her silk nightdress clinging to her as she swung her legs over the edge of the bed.

The doorbell rang again. And again.

“Ugh, I’m coming!” she yelled, frustrated.

She pushed herself off the bed and stormed out of the room, her bare feet padding against the cold floor.

When she yanked open the front door, she was met with the sight of Rolly, her best friend, standing there with a deep frown, her phone clutched tightly in her hand.

“Rolly?” Kate’s brows furrowed. “What are you doing here so early?”

Rolly didn’t respond. Instead, she pushed past Kate into the house, her usual calm demeanor nowhere to be found.

Kate turned, confused. “Hey! What’s wrong with you? Why are you barging into Ryan’s house like this?”

Rolly spun around and glared at her. “Are you seriously asking me that? Kate, have you even checked your phone?! Have you seen what’s happening online?!”

Kate’s confusion deepened, but at the mention of ‘online,’ her heart skipped a beat. “What… what do you mean?”

Rolly scoffed and threw her phone at Kate. “See for yourself.”

Kate caught the phone and immediately looked at the screen.

Her heart sank.

The internet was buzzing—not with Serena’s humiliation, but with hers.

Instead of people turning against Serena, they were attacking her. The comments were brutal.

“So Kate was the real homewrecker?”

“Ryan is such a fool for believing this woman.”

“I feel so bad for Serena. This Kate woman is evil!”

“Kate looks so… calm. I’d never have believed she’s a husband snatcher!

Kate’s hands trembled as she scrolled through the endless stream of hate comments.

The anger bubbling inside her was uncontrollable. Her jaw clenched, and she gritted her teeth.

“That bitch! That sneaky, manipulative bitch!”

She threw Rolly’s phone across the room, but before it could hit the wall, Rolly quickly caught it.

“Have you lost your mind?!” Rolly snapped.

Kate ran a frustrated hand through her hair, her breathing heavy. “I can’t believe this! How did she turn everything around?! I thought the DNA results were enough to finish her off!”

“Well, apparently, she played it smart,” Rolly said, crossing her arms.

“Now, you need to think of a way to turn the tables before this destroys you completely.”

Kate’s breathing steadied as her mind raced. She couldn’t let this ruin everything.

And then… an idea formed.

Slowly, a grin crept onto her lips.

Rolly noticed it immediately and took a step back. “Kate… what are you thinking?”

Kate turned to her, her eyes glinting with malice. “Don’t worry, Rolly. I’ve got the perfect idea.”

Rolly sighed, shaking her head. “Kate, if this is something reckless—”

“Oh, it’s not reckless,” Kate cut in. “It’s genius. Serena might have won this round, but I’m about to destroy her in a way she’ll never recover from.”

Rolly exhaled, already knowing that Kate was about to cook up something dangerous.

Meanwhile, at Serena’s office…

Ryan stood in Emma’s office, holding Amy in his arms. His heart felt lighter than it had in days.

Seeing his daughter, hearing her little giggles, and feeling her tiny arms wrapped around his neck made him realize just how much he had missed out on.

He had been such a fool.

He had believed the fake DNA results, thrown Serena aside like she was nothing, and abandoned his own daughter without a second thought.

And now, looking at Amy’s bright eyes, he wanted to kick himself for it.

Amy playfully poked his nose. “Daddy, why were you gone for so long? I missed you.”

Ryan’s throat tightened. “I missed you too, princess. So much.”

Amy grinned. “Then don’t leave again, okay?”

Ryan nodded, stroking her hair. “I won’t, sweetheart. Never again.”

Emma, who had been watching them, smiled warmly. “It’s good to see you both together again.”

Ryan looked at her and nodded. “Thank you for taking care of her.”

Emma shrugged. “She’s a wonderful kid. And Serena… she’s stronger than you think.”

Ryan’s face fell at the mention of Serena. He still had a long way to go to make things right with her.

Amy suddenly clapped her hands, bringing his attention back to her.

“Daddy, can we go out today? You haven’t taken me out in a long time!”

Ryan hesitated. He had just reconciled with his daughter—was it too soon?

But the hopeful look in her eyes melted away all his doubts.

“Of course, princess. We can go anywhere you want.”

Amy cheered excitedly. “Yay! Mommy, can we go?”

Ryan turned, realizing that Serena had just walked in. Their eyes met, and for a moment, silence filled the room.

Serena cleared her throat. “Go where?”

Amy grinned. “I want Daddy to take me out! Please, Mommy?”

Serena hesitated, her gaze flickering to Ryan. “I don’t know, Amy…”

Ryan took a step forward. “Please, Serena. Let me make it up to her.”

Serena exhaled and finally nodded. “Fine. But don’t keep her out too late.”

Amy jumped happily. “Yay! Thank you, Mommy!”

Ryan smiled at Serena. “Thank you.”

Serena looked away, pretending to be focused on speaking to Emma behind Emma’s desk.

She still wasn’t ready to fully give in to him even though she forgave him.

But deep down… she knew things were just getting started and didn’t want to be taken unaware.
