Rejected By My Mate; Claimed By Lycan Quadruplets Chapter 342

Ryan pulled up to his house and exhaled heavily, gripping the steering wheel.

He knew exactly what awaited him inside—Kate, angry and demanding answers for where he had slept last night without returning home.

He wasn’t in the mood for another confrontation, not after the crazy make out night he had with Serena, but there was no way around it.

He had to face her.

Gathering his composure, he stepped out of the car and made his way to the front door. As soon as he opened it, he saw her.

Kate was sitting on the couch, her legs crossed, dressed in nothing but a silky nightgown.

Her blonde hair was slightly messy, and her eyes were red and swollen from crying.

Tear tracks stained her cheeks, and her lower lip trembled as she glared daggers at him.

Ryan sighed. This was exactly what he expected. Kate never disappoints him with acting nonchalant to whatever he does.

She sniffled, her voice weak yet sharp. “Where were you last night, Ryan?”

He shut the door behind him and rubbed the back of his neck. “Kate, what’s going on? Why are you crying?”

She let out a bitter laugh, shaking her head as fresh tears rolled down her face. “Don’t turn this on me. I asked you a question. Where were you?”

Ryan exhaled deeply, preparing himself for the lie he had rehearsed on the drive over.

“I had a late meeting with a client. It ran longer than expected, and by the time we were done, I was exhausted. The client booked a hotel room for me, so I stayed the night there.”

Kate scoffed, rising to her feet. Her arms folded across her chest as she stepped closer, her blue eyes narrowing.

“A hotel?” she repeated mockingly. “That’s your excuse?”

“It’s not an excuse,” Ryan said calmly. “It’s the truth.”

“The truth?” she snapped, her voice rising. “Ryan, do you think I’m stupid? How many times have you lied to me about ‘working late’ only for me to find out you were with her?”

Ryan clenched his jaw, but he forced himself to remain composed. “Kate, you’re overthinking this.”

“Oh, I’m overthinking?” she scoffed, stepping closer. “You don’t even try to be creative with your lies anymore.”

He ran a hand down his face, exhaustion creeping in. “Kate, I don’t want to fight. I’m here now. That’s what matters.”

Kate’s gaze flickered with something dark.

Before he could react, she closed the gap between them, pressing her body against his. Her fingers trailed up his chest as she whispered, “Then show me you’re here.”

Ryan tensed. He knew exactly what she was doing.

He had no energy left after the night he spent with Serena, but if he rejected Kate now, she would only grow more suspicious.

Kate tilted her head, her lips brushing against his jaw. “You’re mine, Ryan. Prove it.”

He exhaled, his hands gripping her waist. “Kate…”

She captured his lips before he could say another word, kissing him deeply.

Ryan knew he had no choice. If he stopped, if he pulled away, she’d never let it go.

So, despite the fatigue weighing on his body, he lifted her into his arms, carrying her to the bedroom where he had to use the energy left on him to fuck her senseless.

A while later,

Kate lay on the bed, her body wrapped in silk sheets, watching as Ryan got dressed.

She had a satisfied smirk on her face, but as soon as Ryan turned his back to her, heading off to the office, her smile disappeared.

Once she heard the front door open and close, to confirm Ryan had left, she reached for her phone, dialing a number she knew by heart.

The call connected almost immediately.

“Tell me,” she said, her voice cold. “Where was he last night?”

The investigator on the other end didn’t hesitate. “He was at Serena’s place. He spent the entire night there and left early this morning.”

Kate’s grip on the phone tightened. She shut her eyes, inhaling sharply as rage bubbled inside her.

That bitch!

After everything she did to separate them, Serena still had the audacity to let Ryan back into her arms?

Was she an idiot, or just a desperate whore who just needs to be fucked?

Are her legs hitching her that much that she can’t stay away from Ryan’s dick no matter the plots?

Kate flung her phone onto the bed, her nails digging into her palm.

No. She wasn’t going to let this happen.

Not when she was finally getting Ryan’s attention with the fake miscarriage.

She needed to act—fast.

Kate threw the sheets off and stormed into the bathroom.

Serena was going to regret this.

“She’s going to regret her decision of allowing Ryan fuck her again after all of the scandals!” Kate vowed as she stared at her reflection in the mirror at the bathroom.

Her fist clenched and her eyes darkened.

Ryan arrived at his office, feeling completely drained. The night with Serena, the morning with Amy, then the exhausting encounter with Kate—it was too much.

As soon as he stepped inside, Jefferson was already waiting.

“Sir,” Jefferson started, flipping through his tablet. “Your schedule for today—”

Before he could finish, the door swung open.

Ryan froze.

His parents—Mr. and Mrs. Winters—strode into the office, their faces thunderous.

Jefferson quickly excused himself, shutting the door behind him.

Ryan knew this wasn’t good.

His mother, Mrs Winters, was the first to speak, her voice sharp as a blade. “Tell me that the news is lying.”

Ryan’s stomach clenched. He tried to play dumb. “What news?”

Mrs Winters nostrils flared. “Don’t you dare play games with me, Ryan! We heard everything! That woman’s child—” she spat the word like it disgusted her, “—tell me she isn’t yours!”

Ryan exhaled slowly, knowing there was no way out of this. He straightened his shoulders and nodded. “She’s mine.”

His father, Mr Winters, who had remained silent until now, let out a sharp breath. “Unbelievable.”

Mrs Winter's face turned red with fury. “You’re joking, right? Ryan, do you have any idea what you’ve done? What this means for our family?”

Ryan clenched his fists. “It means I have a daughter, and I intend to be in her life.”

Mrs Winters slammed her purse onto the desk. “No, Ryan. It means that woman will ruin you! Kate is your fiancée—”

“She’s not my fiancée,” Ryan interrupted, his tone cold. “She’s just my girlfriend.”

Mrs Winters waved a dismissive hand. “That doesn’t matter! Kate is the woman we know! She’s the woman who stands by you, the woman who deserves to be with you!”

Ryan’s patience was wearing thin. “Kate isn’t the mother of my child.”

“And thank God for that!” Mrs Winters snapped. “Because that woman—”

“Her name is Serena and you know it,” Ryan said through clenched teeth.

Mrs Winters lips curled in disgust. “Serena or whatever. I don’t care what her name is! She and that child of hers will never be a part of this family!”

Ryan felt his anger rise. “That ‘child’ is my daughter.”

“She’s a bastard,” Mrs Winters shot back. “And she will not be acknowledged by this family.”

Ryan slammed his hands on the desk. “I don’t need your approval!”

Mrs Winters' eyes blazed with fury. “You are making the biggest mistake of your life, Ryan.”

Mr Winters, who had been silently watching, finally spoke. “End this now, Ryan. Kate is the right choice. Serena and that girl will only bring you problems.”

Ryan stared at his father, disappointment settling in his chest. “You’re telling me to abandon my own daughter?”

Mr Winters didn’t flinch. “I’m telling you to make the smart choice.”

Ryan let out a bitter laugh. “You mean the convenient choice.”

Mrs Winters stepped forward, her voice low and firm. “Ryan, if you continue down this path, we will not support you.”

Ryan’s jaw tightened. “Then don’t.”

Mrs Winters gasped, her face turning pale.

Mr Winters expression hardened. “Think very carefully before you say another word, Ryan.”

Ryan met his father’s gaze. “I already have.”

For a long moment, there was only silence.

Then, without another word, Mrs Winters turned and stormed out of the office.

Mr Winters followed, but not before giving Ryan one last, disappointed look.

As the door slammed shut, Ryan exhaled shakily, running a hand through his hair.

Everything was falling apart.

But he had made his decision.

And he wasn’t going to change it.

“I love my daughter, Amy and I can’t abandon her.”
