Rejected By My Mate; Claimed By Lycan Quadruplets Chapter 320

The evening air was cool, but Ryan’s blood was boiling with frustration.

The image of Steve Jacob flashed in his mind, but what made his chest tighten was the little girl he saw in those features—Amy.

Her resemblance to Steve was undeniable, and it gnawed at him, making his head spin.

Slumping back in his office chair, Ryan let out a rough sigh. His tie hung loosely around his neck, and his suit jacket was tossed aside.

He needed to clear his head. Finishing the last of his work, he reached for his phone.

“Mr. Ryan,” Jefferson, his assistant, peeked in through the half-opened door. “Anything else you need before I leave?”

Ryan shook his head, his voice curt. “No, Jefferson. Go home. I’m done here.”

Jefferson nodded and left, leaving Ryan alone with his restless thoughts.

Without hesitation, Ryan scrolled to his contacts and dialed. The line barely rang twice before a familiar voice answered.

“Yo, Ryan!” Ethan’s voice was warm and lively.

“Knew you’d call. I’ve been seeing the mess online. You alright, man?”

Ryan leaned back, his fingers tapping on his desk impatiently.

“Yeah, just… frustrated.” His voice was low and tight.

“You free? Let’s hit a club, have some drinks. Then maybe head to the ice rink for a round of ice hockey. Need to blow off some steam.”

Ethan chuckled knowingly. “You, hockey? Someone’s real worked up tonight. You only go ice hockey when your brain is in chaos. Anyway, Sure thing. Meet you there. Usual spot for the club?”

“Yeah,” Ryan confirmed and hung up without another word.

Ryan arrived first with Ethan not in sight.

The club was alive with pounding music, flashing lights, and a haze of excitement.

The air carried the scent of alcohol and perfume, mixing with the rhythmic thrum of the bass.

He made his way to the bar, his sharp gaze sweeping the room.

“A glass of strong Vodka. Neat,” he told the bartender, who nodded and quickly poured the clear liquid into a glass.

Lifting the glass to his lips, Ryan took a long sip, the burn soothing his chaotic thoughts.

His eyes roamed the dance floor idly, watching things he wasn’t interested in, until something—or rather, someone—caught his attention.

A woman.

She danced sensually with a man, her body swaying in perfect rhythm with the music.

But it wasn’t her movements that held his attention—it was her face. As the shifting blue lights illuminated her features, recognition struck him like lightning.

His jaw tightened. It’s Her.

The woman from that drunken night.

The one who’d shared his bed… and then stolen from him. His money. His watch. Gone by morning, leaving him with nothing but a sour memory.

Ryan’s eyes darkened with resolve.

“Not tonight,” he muttered under his breath, slamming the rest of his vodka back.

Pushing through the crowd, he moved swiftly, his gaze locked on her.

She must have felt his presence because her eyes darted to his. Wide. Alert.

And then she bolted.

Ryan cursed, his pulse pounding as he chased after her through the sea of bodies.

“Hey!” he barked, reaching out when she was just within arm’s reach.

The man she had been dancing with tried to grab her hand. “What’s wrong, babe?”

She flung his hand off with a sharp glare.

“Get lost!” she snapped and disappeared deeper into the crowd.

Ryan shoved past confused dancers. “Damn it!” he growled, his heart racing. She was fast, and the crowd was on her side.

In seconds, she was gone.

Ryan stopped abruptly, his chest heaving, his hands clenched into fists. “So close…” he muttered bitterly as he returned to the bar.

A voice called from behind him, laced with amusement. “You lose something?”

Ryan turned to see Ethan, a grin playing on his lips as he approached the bar.

“You’re late,” Ryan snapped, frustration sharp in his voice.

Ethan chuckled. “Didn’t know we were chasing ghosts tonight. Who was that? I saw you and You looked ready to tear the place down.”

Ryan slid back onto the barstool and ordered another drink. “Some woman,” he muttered.

“Had a one night thing with her some days back. Let’s just say she left with more than good sex. Saw her just now. But she got away.”

Ethan burst into laughter. “You? Robbed? No way. Man, I’d pay to have seen that.”

Ryan’s scowl deepened.

“Laugh it up, Ethan. You’d be pissed too if someone walked off with your gold watch. That thing was custom-made.”

Ethan smirked. “Well, if she’s here, maybe you’ll cross paths again. Besides, I’m sure she’ll treasure your watch forever.” He laughed harder, clearly enjoying his friend’s misery.

Ryan’s eyes narrowed. “You know what? I’ve had enough. Let’s hit the ice rink. I’ll crush you out there.”

Ethan raised an eyebrow. “ You sure you’re up for it?”

Ryan shot him a challenging look. “What, are you scared? You’ve been running your mouth since high school, but we both know I own that rink.”

Ethan grinned, standing. “Alright, hotshot. You’re on. But don’t cry when I leave you face-down on the ice.”

Ryan finished his drink with a sharp clink. “Let’s see you try.”

In the Car – On the Way to the Ice Rink,

Ryan’s hands gripped the wheel, the car humming smoothly along the road.

Beside him, Ethan lounged comfortably, scrolling through his phone. Suddenly, it buzzed with an incoming call.

Ethan’s face lit up, and he immediately answered. “Hey, babe,” he greeted, his voice softening.

Ryan rolled his eyes dramatically. “Here we go,” he muttered under his breath.

On the other end, Emma’s warm voice came through, “Hi, Ethan. Just wanted to check on you. You okay?”

Ethan smiled. “I’m good. Better now that you called. How about you?”

Emma’s voice carried a gentle warmth. “I’m fine. Just… I miss you.”

Ethan’s smile widened. “I miss you too, Em. Let’s meet up tomorrow after you get off work. Dinner? Your favorite spot.”

Emma’s happiness was audible. “I’d love that! Can’t wait. Oh, and work was hectic today. Serena’s got a lot on her plate with all that’s happening.”

Ethan’s expression darkened briefly at the mention of Serena’s situation, but he kept his voice light.

“Yeah… It’s a mess. But you’re amazing for sticking by her side.”

Emma chuckled softly. “Well, she deserves it. Anyway, take care, and don’t get into trouble with Ryan.”

Ethan laughed. “No promises. Love you.”

“Love you too,” Emma replied, and the call ended with a soft beep.

Ryan, who had been silently enduring the conversation, scoffed. “You two are disgusting. So mushy. Makes me sick.”

Ethan smirked. “You're so Jealous?”

Ryan snorted. “Please. You just enjoy rubbing it in because I’m not as whipped as you.”

Ethan teased, “You’ve got Kate, don’t you?”

Ryan’s jaw clenched slightly, and his eyes stayed on the road. “Yeah. Sure.” His voice lacked any warmth, his knuckles tightening on the wheel.

Ethan noticed but didn’t push. Instead, he chuckled.

“Well, when you’re done being grumpy, let me know. Now step on it. I’m itching to wipe that smug grin off your face on the ice.”

Ryan smirked darkly. “You wish. Tonight, I’m leaving you in the dust.”

The engine roared as he pressed the accelerator.
