Rejected By My Mate; Claimed By Lycan Quadruplets Chapter 377

Ryan sat at his desk, fingers tapping rhythmically against the polished wood as he stared at his phone. His mind was racing. After last night’s conversation with Serena, he hadn’t been able to shake the feeling that something wasn’t right.

He had seen her frustration, the fire in her eyes when she told him about the board voting her out.

The more he thought about it, the more he realized that this wasn’t just business politics—someone was orchestrating this. Someone wanted Serena gone.

He leaned back in his chair and turned to his assistant, Jefferson, who stood waiting patiently with his notepad in hand.

“Jefferson,” Ryan said, rubbing his temples. “I need you to do something for me.”

Jefferson nodded. “Of course, sir. What do you need?”

Ryan exhaled. “I need you to get in touch with some of the shareholders at Rocky’s Designs. Discreetly. Find out where they stand with this vote, and more importantly, see if they can be swayed.”

Jefferson frowned slightly. “Swayed, sir?”

Ryan leaned forward. “Yes. Let them know that the media has twisted everything about Serena. That this entire scandal is being blown out of proportion. She’s still the best person to lead that company, and removing her would be a mistake.”

Jefferson nodded slowly, jotting down notes. “Understood. I’ll start making some calls right away.”

Ryan sighed. “Be careful with who you speak to. Some of them might already be too deep into whatever this is, and I don’t want them getting suspicious.”

Jefferson gave him a firm nod. “I’ll handle it, sir.”

Ryan watched as his assistant left the office, then leaned back in his chair, staring up at the ceiling. He hated corporate games.

They were filled with lies, betrayals, and hidden agendas. But this wasn’t just business. This was Serena’s legacy, and no matter what was happening between them, he wouldn’t let someone steal it from her.

Jefferson worked quickly, reaching out to key shareholders, setting up private calls under the guise of simple business discussions.

Some were hesitant, unwilling to give away their stance on the matter. Others, however, were more open.

One particular shareholder, a man named Charles, seemed hesitant when Jefferson brought up the situation.

“Look, I don’t know what’s true or what’s exaggerated,” Charles admitted over the phone. “All I know is that this decision is being pushed heavily by a few board members. And from what I understand, they’re not exactly coming up with this idea on their own.”

Jefferson’s grip on his phone tightened. “What do you mean?”

Charles hesitated for a moment before sighing. “Off the record… I was approached by someone. A powerful figure outside of Rocky’s Designs. Someone who convinced a few of us that Serena needs to go.”

Jefferson’s stomach twisted. “Who?”

Charles hesitated again. “Serena's Ex father in law. Mr Ryan’s father.”

Jefferson’s breath caught. “Mr. Thomas Winters?”

“Yes,” Charles said firmly. “I didn’t believe it at first, but when I started noticing how certain people on the board were suddenly so eager to get rid of Serena, I realized this wasn’t just a random vote. This was planned.”

Jefferson’s pulse quickened. “Why would he want Serena out?”

Charles let out a short laugh. “Isn’t it obvious? The same reason most powerful men make moves like this—control. If Serena is removed, someone else will take her place, someone easier to manipulate. And I’m willing to bet whoever takes that role will have ties to Mr. Winters.”

Jefferson sat in stunned silence, his mind racing. This was bigger than he thought.

“Look, I probably shouldn’t even be telling you this,” Charles added quickly. “I have no loyalty to Mr. Winters, but I also don’t want to be caught in the middle of this war. Just… if you’re really trying to help Serena, she needs to know she’s up against more than just the board.”

Jefferson exhaled. “Thank you, Mr Charles. This helps more than you know.”

After ending the call, Jefferson wasted no time in heading straight to Ryan’s office.

Ryan was reviewing documents when Jefferson entered, his expression serious.

“What is it?” Ryan asked, sensing the tension.

Jefferson took a deep breath. “Sir, we have a serious problem.”

Ryan set his pen down. “Go on.”

Jefferson hesitated for only a moment before saying, “Mr. Thomas Winters is behind Serena’s removal.”

Ryan stilled. His expression didn’t change, but Jefferson could see the way his hands tightened into fists.

“What did you just say?” Ryan asked, his voice dangerously low.

“I just spoke to one of the shareholders—Mr Charles. He admitted that your father has been influencing certain members of the board, convincing them that Serena is a liability.”

Ryan leaned back in his chair, his jaw tightening. “Are you sure about this?”

Jefferson nodded. “Mr Charles wouldn’t say it unless he was certain. He said your father wants control over Rocky’s Designs, and the best way to do that is to put someone in charge who will listen to him.”

Ryan exhaled slowly, gripping the armrests of his chair. He wanted to believe this was a mistake, that Charles had misunderstood something.

But deep down, he knew his father. He knew how Thomas operated—always calculating, always playing the long game.

And suddenly, it all made sense.

Ryan stood abruptly. “I need to see him.”

Jefferson nodded. “Do you want me to come with you?”

Ryan shook his head. “No. Stay here. I’ll handle this myself.”

Thomas Winters sat in his home office, sipping his morning coffee when the door suddenly burst open.

Ryan stormed in, his eyes blazing with anger.

Thomas set his cup down calmly. “Ryan. To what do I owe this unexpected visit?”

Ryan slammed his hands onto the desk. “You tell me.”

Thomas raised an eyebrow. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

Ryan’s jaw clenched. “Don’t play dumb. I know what you’re doing.”

Thomas leaned back in his chair, unfazed. “And what exactly am I ‘doing’?”

Ryan exhaled sharply, his patience wearing thin. “You’re the one behind Serena’s removal. You convinced board members to vote her out. Don’t bother denying it.”

Thomas’s expression remained neutral, but there was the slightest twitch of amusement in his eyes. “And where did you hear this ridiculous accusation?”

Ryan let out a humorless laugh. “It doesn’t matter where I heard it. What matters is that I know.”

Thomas sighed, shaking his head. “Ryan, you’re being dramatic. If the board is voting her out, it’s because they see her as a problem. I have no hand in it.”

Ryan’s fists clenched. “You’re lying.”

Thomas leaned forward, his expression hardening. “Think about what you’re saying, Ryan. Why would I even care about Rocky’s Designs?”

Ryan exhaled slowly. “Because you care about power. And taking Serena down gives you more of it.”

Thomas smirked slightly. “You give me too much credit, son.”

Ryan shook his head. “I don’t trust you.”

Thomas shrugged. “That’s your problem, not mine.”

Ryan stared at his father for a long moment before finally stepping back.

“If I find proof that you’re behind this,” Ryan said coldly, “I’ll make sure you regret it.”

With that, he turned and walked out, his entire body filled with frustration.

And as he left, Thomas Winters simply smiled, sipping his coffee.
