Rejected By My Mate; Claimed By Lycan Quadruplets Chapter 270
Serena and Amy arrived at the amusement park, the bright lights and cheerful music filling the air with excitement.
Amy’s eyes sparkled with joy as she looked around at all the colorful rides and the children running around.
Serena smiled, glad to see her daughter so happy.
Just as Serena was about to take Amy’s hand and walk in, her phone buzzed with a message. It was from Nathan.
Nathan: I’m here. Where are you?
Serena scanned the crowd, looking around until she spotted him standing near the entrance, dressed casually in jeans and a black t-shirt.
He waved at her with a smile.
“Is that him, Mommy?” Amy pointed excitedly at Nathan as she asked.
“Yes, let’s go meet him,” Serena said, taking Amy’s hand as they walked over.
When they reached him, Nathan crouched down to Amy’s level and smiled warmly.
“Hi, Amy! I’ve heard so much about you from your mommy.”
Amy giggled, her small face lighting up. “Hi! Mommy said you’re her friend. You look handsome, but not like my daddy.”
Serena’s smile froze slightly, and she shifted uncomfortably.
Nathan, however, chuckled awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck.
“Well, I wouldn’t want to look like your daddy, would I? Everyone is perfect in their own way.”
Amy tilted her head thoughtfully and nodded.
“Yeah, I guess. But Daddy is very tall and serious all the time. You look nicer.”
Serena bit her lip, feeling an uneasy pang inside her. Amy talked about Ryan so much, and it irritated her.
She didn’t want to keep hearing his name when they were supposed to be having fun.
She quickly changed the subject.
“So, where do we start?” Serena asked, forcing a cheerful tone.
Amy’s eyes darted around the park before she pointed at a colorful spinning teacup ride.
“That one, Mommy! I wanna go on the teacups!”
Serena laughed. “Alright, let’s do it.”
Nathan and Serena walked Amy over to the ride, and Serena helped her get settled in one of the large teacups.
“Hold on tight, okay?”
Amy nodded enthusiastically as the ride started spinning slowly, then faster and faster.
She laughed loudly, waving at them.
Nathan smiled. “She’s adorable. You’re doing a great job raising her, Serena.”
Serena glanced at him and smiled softly. “Thanks, Nathan. I always try my best to be the best mother to her.”
“I can see that Serena; even without you having to say it loudly.”
As the ride slowed to a stop, Amy jumped out and ran over. “That was so fun! Can we go on the carousel next?”
Nathan grinned. “Of course! Lead the way.”
Amy grabbed both of their hands and pulled them toward the carousel.
She chose a beautiful white horse with golden reins and climbed on excitedly while Serena stood beside her to make sure she was safe.
Nathan watched with amusement.
Once the carousel started moving, Amy giggled and waved at them each time she passed by.
Serena smiled and leaned toward Nathan.
“Thanks for coming. I wasn’t sure if you’d enjoy a kids’ day out. I thought it might be awkward for you thus, I was reluctant to accept when you requested to come along.”
Nathan shrugged with a grin.
“I’m having more fun than I thought I would. I didn’t regret requesting to join you guys. After all, Amy is so much fun to be with.”
After the carousel, they walked around exploring other attractions.
They tried out the bumper cars, where Amy insisted on driving while Serena and Nathan laughed from the sidelines.
Then they played a game where they had to toss rings onto bottles.
Nathan won a stuffed teddy bear and handed it to Amy, making her squeal with excitement.
“Thank you, Mr Nathan! I’ll name him Mr. Bear!” Amy hugged the stuffed animal tightly.
Nathan crouched down to her level again.
“You’re welcome, Amy. Mr. Bear will keep you company at home, right?”
Amy nodded eagerly. “Yes! He’ll sleep on my bed.”
Serena watched them, feeling a warmth spread through her chest.
Seeing Amy so happy made her forget about all her worries for a little while.
After several more rides and games, they finally decided it was time for a treat.
They headed to the ice cream stand and each got a cone—chocolate for Amy, vanilla for Serena, and strawberry for Nathan.
They found a bench and sat down with Amy in the middle, eating their ice creams as they watched other children run around.
“This was such a good idea,” Nathan said, glancing at Serena.
“I forgot how fun parks could be.”
Serena laughed softly. “Yeah, it’s been a while since I’ve taken a break like this. Work keeps me busy.”
Nathan nodded. “I get it. But it’s important to take time out for Amy. She’s growing up so fast.”
Amy piped up between licks of her ice cream.
“Mommy works too much sometimes, but she always spends time with me too. We play games and watch movies together.”
Serena ruffled Amy’s hair. “That’s because I love you, silly.”
Nathan smiled.
“That’s the best thing a mom can do.” He paused and then asked, “So, Amy, do you have any favorite movies?”
Amy’s face lit up. “Yes! I love princess movies! And superhero ones too!”
Nathan chuckled. “Wow, you like both? That’s cool. Who’s your favorite superhero?”
Amy thought for a second. “Hmm… I like Wonder Woman! She’s so strong and pretty.”
Serena laughed. “That’s a great choice, Amy.”
They continued chatting, with Amy enthusiastically talking about her school, her friends, and all the things she wanted to do when she grew up.
Nathan listened patiently, nodding and smiling at everything she said.
As the sky started turning orange, Serena glanced at her watch.
“It’s getting late. We should probably head home before it gets too dark.”
Amy pouted. “Aww, but I don’t wanna go yet.”
Serena kissed her forehead. “We’ll come back another day, I promise.”
Nathan stood up and stretched. “Well, thanks for letting me join you guys today. I really enjoyed myself.”
Serena smiled at him. “Thank you for coming, Mr Nathan. It was nice having you around.”
Nathan glanced at Amy. “Take care of Mr. Bear, okay?”
Amy grinned. “I will! Thanks again!”
Nathan walked them to Serena’s car, and Amy waved at him through the window as Serena started the engine.
“Bye, Mr Nathan!”
“Bye, Amy. See you soon,” Nathan replied, watching as they drove off.
As they disappeared down the road, a shadowy figure stepped out from behind a nearby tree.
Holding up a phone, they snapped several pictures of Serena, Amy, and Nathan together, smirking to themselves.
