Rejected By My Mate; Claimed By Lycan Quadruplets Chapter 404

The air was thick with tension as Ryan gripped the steering wheel, his knuckles white.

His foot pressed hard against the gas pedal, the car tearing down the empty road leading toward the outskirts of the city.

The police had provided the location—a remote warehouse hidden deep in the industrial zone, far from prying eyes.

Beside him, Steve Jacobs sat in the passenger seat, his face a mask of cold fury. In the backseat, Emma was gripping her phone, watching the GPS as the destination neared.

“This bastard thought he could hide,” Steve muttered.

“He underestimated us,” Ryan replied, his voice dark.

The police vehicles followed at a safe distance behind them, far enough not to alert Thomas but close enough to intervene the moment they needed to.

Every second that passed felt like an eternity. Ryan’s mind was consumed with one thought—Serena and Amy.

He could still hear Amy’s small, terrified voice from the phone call. Still hear the way Serena had tried to warn him before being cut off.

The image of Thomas holding them hostage was enough to make his blood boil.

As they neared the warehouse, Ryan slowed the car and parked a short distance away. The building stood tall, its metal structure looming like a fortress in the darkness.

Dim light spilled from a few broken windows, and two armed guards were stationed at the entrance.

The plan was simple: Ryan, Steve, and Emma would approach first to avoid suspicion. The police would surround the perimeter and wait for the right moment to strike.

Steve’s hand hovered near the licensed gun strapped to his belt. “We need to do this carefully.”

Ryan nodded, taking a deep breath. His heart was pounding, but he refused to let fear control him.

They stepped out of the car, walking with purpose toward the warehouse. The guards stiffened at the sight of them, gripping their weapons.

“Stop right there,” one of them barked.

Ryan forced himself to remain calm. “I’m here to see Thomas.”

The men exchanged a glance.

“Mr. Winters isn’t expecting visitors,” the second guard sneered. “Turn around before this gets ugly.”

Steve let out a dry laugh. “I’d rethink that, buddy.”

The guards tensed—but before they could react, the sharp crack of gunfire split through the air.

Chaos erupted.

From the shadows, officers surged forward, guns raised, shouting commands.

The first guard barely had time to lift his weapon before he was shot in the leg, collapsing with a pained scream.

The second guard dropped his gun and threw up his hands, surrendering.

Inside the warehouse, shouting and scuffling could be heard. Thomas’ men, caught off guard, scrambled for their weapons.

“Move!” Ryan ordered, charging toward the entrance.

Steve kicked the door open, and they stormed inside. The place reeked of oil and dust, the dim lighting casting eerie shadows against the metal walls.

Gunshots echoed through the warehouse as the police engaged the kidnappers. Some of Thomas’ men fought back, others surrendered, realizing they were outnumbered.

Ryan’s pulse hammered in his ears as he darted through the building, his eyes searching frantically.

Serena. Amy. Where were they?

Then, a voice rang out—Thomas’.

“Stop right there!”

Ryan skidded to a halt, his breath catching.

At the far end of the warehouse, Thomas stood with Amy in front of him, his arm wrapped tightly around her small body. A gun was pressed against her temple, her big, tear-filled eyes wide with terror.

Serena was on the ground a few feet away, her hands still tied, struggling against the restraints.

Ryan’s stomach twisted painfully.

Thomas’ expression was wild, his hair disheveled, sweat dripping down his forehead. He knew he was cornered—but he wasn’t going down without a fight.

“Drop your guns,” he ordered, his voice filled with desperation. “Or I swear to God, I’ll blow her brains out!”

Ryan froze, his heart pounding violently. The officers around him hesitated, their weapons still raised.

Amy let out a small sob, her little hands clutching at Thomas’ arm. “Daddy!”

Ryan’s blood ran cold. His entire body screamed to move, to charge forward and rip Amy out of Thomas’ grip—but one wrong move, and he could lose her.

“Thomas,” Ryan said, his voice low, measured. “Think about what you’re doing.”

Thomas let out a breathless laugh. “Think? Oh, I’ve done plenty of thinking, son. And you know what I realized? This is all her fault!” His eyes flickered toward Serena, his grip tightening around Amy.

“She ruined everything! My marriage! My reputation! My entire goddamn life!”

Serena glared at him, her voice hoarse. “You did that all by yourself, Thomas.”

“Shut up!” Thomas roared, shaking with fury.

Ryan clenched his fists, his mind racing. He needed to distract Thomas, keep him talking until—

A faint movement caught Ryan’s eye.

Steve.

He had maneuvered around the side of the warehouse, creeping behind Thomas with a gun raised.

Ryan had seconds to act.

“Let Amy go,” he said carefully, inching forward. “You don’t have to do this.”

Thomas let out a crazed laugh. “Oh, I think I do. Because if I go down, I’m taking something from you too.” He pressed the gun harder against Amy’s head, making her whimper.

Ryan swallowed hard. His hands trembled with the sheer force of his rage, but he forced himself to remain calm.

“You want money?” Ryan said, his voice tight. “Fine. You’ll get the fifty million you requested. Just—just let her go.”

Thomas’ eyes flickered, uncertainty crossing his face for a brief moment.

And then—a single gunshot rang out.

Thomas let out a pained scream as the bullet tore through his leg. His body crumpled to the ground, the gun flying from his grasp.

Amy shrieked and scrambled away, running straight into Ryan’s arms.

Ryan scooped her up, holding her close as his heart pounded violently in his chest. “I’ve got you, sweetheart. You’re safe now.”

Thomas groaned, clutching his bleeding leg. He tried to reach for his gun—but Steve was on him in an instant, kicking it far out of reach.

“Not today, you son of a bitch,” Steve growled, pressing his foot against Thomas’ wounded leg, making him howl in pain.

The police surged forward, securing the area and taking the remaining kidnappers into custody.

Ryan quickly untied Serena, his hands shaking. “Are you okay?”

Serena coughed, rubbing her wrists. “I’ve had better days.”

Despite the situation, Ryan huffed out a small, relieved laugh. “Let’s get you two out of here.”

Serena nodded, her eyes brimming with unshed tears as she looked at Amy, safe in Ryan’s arms.

For the first time in what felt like an eternity, she allowed herself to breathe.

They were finally safe. Her little princess was safe.
