Rejected By My Mate; Claimed By Lycan Quadruplets Chapter 334

Serena lay on her bed, staring up at the ceiling, the weight of the night pressing heavily on her mind.

She had made a mistake. She shouldn’t have let him kiss her. Not after everything.

Not after the scandals, the betrayal, the chaos he had brought into her life.

She turned on her side, squeezing her eyes shut, but the memory of his lips on hers refused to fade.

She could still feel the warmth of the kiss, the way he had hesitated, the way she hadn’t pulled away.

“Why? Why hadn’t I pulled away?”

Frustration bubbled inside her, and she groaned, shoving her face into her pillow. “Ugh, what is wrong with me?”

She tossed onto her other side, hugging her blanket close. Maybe she was just tired.

Maybe her emotions were all over the place, and that was why she had let it happen. It didn’t mean anything.

It couldn’t mean anything.

But deep down, she knew she was only lying to herself.

Letting out a deep sigh, she forced herself to take slow, deep breaths.

Thinking about it wouldn’t change what had already happened. She needed sleep.

Tomorrow was a new day, and she had more important things to focus on than a mistake she couldn’t take back.

With one last frustrated sigh, she shut her eyes tightly and willed herself to sleep.

The next morning, Serena barely had time to gather her thoughts before Amy burst into her room, her little feet pattering across the floor as she climbed onto the bed.

“Mommy! Mommy! Wake up!”

Serena groaned, burying her face in the pillow. “Amy, it’s too early…”

“But I have so much to tell you!” Amy whined, tugging at the blanket.

“I had the best day ever yesterday!”

Serena sighed, turning to face her daughter.

The excitement on Amy’s face was impossible to ignore, her bright eyes sparkling as she bounced on the bed.

Serena sat up, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. “Alright, alright. What’s so important that you had to wake me up so early?”

Amy grinned. “Daddy took me to the amusement park! And guess what? He let me eat so much ice cream! Like, a whole bunch!”

Serena raised a brow. “A whole bunch? How much exactly?”

Amy held up three fingers. “Three big scoops! And he let me pick the flavors! I got chocolate, vanilla, and strawberries! And then—” She gasped dramatically, her hands flying up. “—he even bought me a teddy bear!”

Serena shook her head with a small smile. “So, let me get this straight. Your dad fed you too much sugar and spoiled you with gifts?”

Amy nodded eagerly. “Yep! And it was awesome!”

Serena sighed. “I should’ve known he’d do that.”

Amy giggled. “Mommy, you should’ve come! You would’ve had fun too!”

Serena snorted. “Oh, really? And what would I have done while you and your dad ran around eating sugar and playing games?”

Amy tapped her chin, thinking. “You could’ve held our stuff while we went on all the rides!”

Serena gasped in mock offense. “So, I’d just be your personal bag holder?”

Amy nodded, completely serious.

Serena laughed. “Wow, thanks a lot.”

Amy giggled again, then clapped her hands together.

“Oh! And guess what else? Daddy won me a giant stuffed bunny! He had to throw a ball into a bucket, and he missed the first two times, but then he got really serious, and on the last try, he did it! And the man at the booth said, ‘Wow, sir, you’re really determined!’”

Serena shook her head. “Your dad and his competitive nature…”

Amy nodded eagerly. “He said he wasn’t going to leave until he won me something. And he did! The bunny is so big, Mommy! It’s almost as big as me!”

Serena leaned back against the headboard, watching the pure joy on her daughter’s face.

No matter what had happened between her and Ryan, Amy was happy, and that was what mattered.

“Sounds like you had a really fun day,” Serena said softly.

Amy grinned. “The best day ever!”

Serena reached out and brushed a strand of hair out of Amy’s face. “I’m glad, sweetheart.”

Amy tilted her head. “Mommy, do you like Daddy?”

Serena’s entire body stiffened. “What?”

Amy shrugged. “You always look mad when you talk about him, but yesterday, he was really nice. He didn’t yell or say anything mean. He just wanted to have fun with me.”

Serena took a slow breath, choosing her words carefully.

“Amy, just because someone is nice sometimes doesn’t mean they don’t do bad things too.”

Amy frowned. “But he said he loves me.”

Serena’s heart clenched. “I know, sweetheart. And I believe he does.”

Amy studied her for a moment, then changed the subject. “Mommy, are you going to work today?”

Serena hesitated. “Yes. And you’re coming with me.”

Amy’s eyes widened. “Really? No school?”

Serena shook her head. “Not today.”

Amy squealed, throwing her arms around her mother. “Yay! Can I sit at your desk and pretend to be the boss?”

Serena laughed. “We’ll see.”

Amy pulled away, her little face serious. “Mommy, can I bring Mr. Fluffy?”

Serena blinked. “Who’s Mr. Fluffy?”

Amy gasped dramatically. “My bunny, Mommy! The one Daddy won for me!”

Serena chuckled wondering why she didn’t notice it last night. “Amy, I don’t think Mr. Fluffy would fit in my office.”

Amy pouted. “But he’ll be lonely!”

Serena sighed playfully. “Fine. Mr. Fluffy can come, but he has to behave.”

Amy beamed. “He’s a very good bunny, Mommy!”

Serena ruffled her daughter’s hair. “Alright, let’s get you ready.”

Amy hopped off the bed and ran to her room, excitedly talking to Mr. Fluffy about their ‘big work day.’

Serena watched her go, shaking her head with a small smile.

As much as the scandals had turned her life upside down, moments like these reminded her what truly mattered.

Amy’s happiness, her safety—those were the things she couldn’t afford to risk.

And as long as there were people waiting for an opportunity to drag her name through the mud, she wouldn’t leave her daughter out of her sight.

Not until she was sure the world had finally moved on.

With a deep breath, she got out of bed and began getting ready for the day ahead.
