Rejected By My Mate; Claimed By Lycan Quadruplets Chapter 337
Kate paced back and forth in the living room, her arms folded tightly across her chest. The soft silk of her nightwear clung to her skin, but she barely noticed.
Her usually composed demeanor was gone, replaced by frustration and panic. She was alone now—no Ryan around to keep up her act.
The moment he left for work, the fear had begun creeping in.
Who had called Ryan last night?
Who was the person who put that call through about her miscarriage?
Kate’s heart pounded at the thought. She had been careful. Very careful. The entire hospital visit had been staged perfectly.
Rolly had helped her pull the strings, and the medical staff involved had been paid handsomely to keep their mouths shut.
No one was supposed to know the truth—so who had slipped up?
She replayed Ryan’s reaction in her head from the previous night. He had looked disturbed, but he hadn’t said much.
That meant he was still trying to confirm whatever he had heard. She knew Ryan well enough to know that if he were absolutely sure she had lied, he wouldn’t be sitting quietly.
He would have confronted her already.
Kate clenched her fists.
No, she couldn’t afford to lose everything. If Ryan found out she had faked the pregnancy and the miscarriage, it would be over. Completely over.
Panic gripped her chest as she stormed upstairs to get dressed.
She needed to act fast before whoever had made that call got to Ryan again.
Minutes later, she was behind the wheel, speeding through the streets of New York. The city buzzed with life around her, but Kate barely paid attention.
She needed Rolly.
Her best friend always had a way of fixing things.
—
Rolly opened the door with a sleepy yawn, dressed in nothing but a loose robe.
Her brows furrowed at the sight of Kate standing at her doorstep, face tense with worry.
“What the hell, Kate? It’s not even nine yet.”
Kate shoved past her, stepping into the apartment and pacing the floor. “Someone called Ryan.”
Rolly shut the door, rolling her eyes. “Good morning to you too.”
“Rolly, this is serious! Someone called Ryan about the miscarriage.”
That got Rolly’s attention. She pulled her robe tighter around herself and leaned against the couch. “Wait, what?”
Kate turned to her, eyes blazing. “I don’t know who. I don’t know how. But someone called him, and now he’s suspicious.”
Rolly frowned. “I thought we covered all our tracks?”
“So did I!” Kate snapped. She ran a hand through her hair, exhaling sharply. “We need to find out who it was before they talk to him again.”
Rolly folded her arms, thinking. “There were only a few people involved in the hospital setup. The doctor, the nurse…”
Kate bit her lip. “I need to go there. I need to find out who betrayed me.”
A slow smirk spread across Rolly’s lips. “I have a better idea.”
Kate narrowed her eyes. “What?”
Rolly walked closer, lowering her voice as she whispered into her ear.
Kate’s lips parted slightly before she smirked. “I like the sound of that.”

At the same time, across town, Ryan sat in his office, his fingers drumming against the desk.
Jefferson, his assistant, walked in, a tablet in hand. “Sir, you have a board meeting in ten minutes. Also, your schedule for the day includes—”
Ryan held up a hand, silencing him. His mind was elsewhere.
That call last night…
It had kept him up all night.
Kate had seemed so… off. And now, he couldn’t shake the feeling that something was terribly wrong.
But first, he had a company to run.
He stood, adjusting his suit. “Let’s go.”
Jefferson nodded and led the way.
The moment Ryan stepped into the boardroom, all eyes turned to him. The tension in the room was thick.
One of the directors cleared his throat. “Mr Ryan, we need to talk.”
Ryan took his seat. “Go ahead.”
Another board member pushed a tablet toward him. “Your name is all over the internet, and not for the right reasons.”
Ryan glanced at the screen, his jaw tightening as he saw the latest headlines.
“CEO Ryan Winters Caught in Scandal—Two Women, One Child, and DNA Report!”
“Ryan Winter's Ex Wife Finally Speaks Out—Is Kate the Victim?”
One of the older directors sighed. “We can’t have this kind of attention, Ryan. It’s affecting our stock.”
Another one chimed in. “If this continues, we might have no choice but to remove you as CEO.”
Ryan’s fingers curled into fists under the table.
They wanted him to fix this. But how?
Ryan’s jaw tightened as he set the tablet down. The board members’ faces were expectant, watching him closely, waiting for his reaction.
He inhaled slowly, suppressing the irritation bubbling inside him.
“You’re all overreacting,” he said smoothly, though his grip on the table was tense.
“The company isn’t built on gossip blogs and internet rumors. Winters Enterprises’ stocks will not collapse over a few sensational headlines.”
One of the senior board members, Mr. Colton leaned forward, his expression severe.
“Ryan, don’t play dumb with us. We’ve seen companies get ruined over bad publicity. Investors don’t care whether it’s true or not—perception is everything. And right now, the perception is that you’re tangled up in a personal mess that could affect your leadership.”
Ryan’s temples throbbed. He hadn’t had a moment to process everything himself, and now they expected him to clean up a scandal when he wasn’t even sure which parts of it to start off.
Another board member, a younger man named Garrett Reeves, scoffed.
“Your ex-wife held a press conference, Ryan. The internet is calling her a queen for taking a stand. Meanwhile, Kate—who everyone assumed would be your future wife—is being torn apart. Your silence is making it worse.”
Ryan clenched his jaw. They weren’t telling him anything he didn’t already know.
The media was eating this up, and with Serena’s press conference out there, people were naturally siding with her.
But what frustrated him the most was the call from the night before—the one that had thrown him off completely.
Someone had called him about Kate’s miscarriage. And the way Kate had acted afterward… it didn’t sit right with him.
A part of him didn’t want to believe it, but what if—
“Mr Ryan.” Mr. Colton’s firm voice yanked him from his thoughts. “We’ll give you a few days to fix this, but if you don’t, we’ll have to reconsider your position.”
The room fell silent.
Ryan slowly leaned back in his chair, leveling them all with an unreadable expression. “I understand.”
The meeting ended soon after, but Ryan didn’t move. He sat in his chair, his hands pressed together as thoughts stormed through his mind.
There was only one way to settle his troubling thoughts.
He had to find out who called him.
And more importantly…
If Kate had been lying to him this entire time.
