Rejected By My Mate; Claimed By Lycan Quadruplets Chapter 313

Kate paced around her small apartment, her footsteps echoing in the quiet space.

The morning light barely seeped through the blinds, casting long shadows on the walls.

Her face was flushed with frustration, her jaw clenched tight. She’d spent the entire night at Ryan’s house, waiting like a fool.

She sat on his couch, checking the time over and over, hoping he’d walk through the door. But he never came.

Now, back in her apartment, her mind was racing with dark thoughts.

Where the hell did he go?

Her chest tightened with suspicion.

Maybe he was with Serena. Again. Even after everything—the lies, the news that Amy wasn’t his daughter, all of it—what if he still wanted her?

Kate’s hands curled into fists at the thought.

“No. I won’t let that happen. Not again.”

She snatched her car keys off the counter, her mind already racing with a plan.

“This time,” she muttered under her breath, “I’ll make sure Ryan hates her for good.”

She grabbed her phone and quickly typed out a message to Ryan:

“Ryan, Serena called me over to her house. She said she wanted to talk. I don’t trust her. Please come. I’m scared.”

Kate smirked at the screen before hitting send.

She knew exactly what she was doing.

She didn’t drive fast.

Instead, she deliberately kept her speed slow, giving Ryan enough time to see the message and react.

She glanced at her phone on the passenger seat, waiting for the notification that he’d read it.

Meanwhile, Ryan was driving home from the hotel, his head still pounding from the night before.

His phone buzzed on the dashboard. He picked it up, his eyes narrowing as he read Kate’s message.

Serena? Calling Kate over?

His frown deepened. That didn’t make sense. Why would Serena want to talk to Kate?

Without thinking twice, he jerked the steering wheel, making a sharp U-turn.

His tires screeched against the pavement as he sped towards Serena’s house, his heart racing with confusion and a flicker of anger.

Kate arrived at Serena’s place just as planned.

She parked her car down the street, glanced at her reflection in the rearview mirror, and fixed her expression.

She needed to look just right—concerned, but not too suspicious.

She walked up to Serena’s door, her heels clicking against the pavement.

She rang the doorbell, pressing it over and over until the door finally swung open.

Serena stood there, her face hard, her eyes narrowing the moment she saw Kate.

“What are you doing here, again? Didn’t I warn you last time never to return, huh?” Serena’s voice was cold, sharp like ice.

Kate sighed dramatically, placing a hand over her chest.

“I—I just wanted to check on you. I saw the news, and I thought maybe you’d need someone to talk to.”

Serena scoffed, folding her arms. “Spare me the act, Kate. I know you’re not here to ‘sympathize.’ What do you really want?”

Kate’s eyes darted to the corner of the street, where she could already hear the distant roar of a car engine.

Ryan was close.

Perfect timing.

Kate stepped closer as if she was about to enter the house, her hand reaching out to Serena’s arm.

Then, with a swift, calculated move, she grabbed Serena’s wrist tightly, pulled herself backward, and let out a loud scream as she fell to the ground.

“Aah!” Kate cried out, clutching her stomach.

Her face twisted in fake pain as she writhed on the floor, loud sobs filling the air.

Right on cue, Ryan’s car screeched to a halt. The door flung open, and he sprinted toward them.

“Kate!” he shouted, his eyes wide with panic.

Kate looked up, tears streaming down her face.

She reached out weakly, her voice trembling. “Ryan… our baby… save our baby…”

Ryan’s heart felt like it had been ripped from his chest.

His gaze shot to Serena, who stood frozen, her eyes filled with shock and confusion.

“What did you do?!” Ryan roared, storming toward Serena, his face twisted with rage. “How could you?! Why would you push her?!”

Serena’s mouth fell open. “I didn’t—”

“Don’t lie to me! You’re just so good at telling lies!” Ryan snapped, pointing a trembling finger at her.

“If anything happens to my child, I swear, you’ll regret it!”

Without waiting for a response, he scooped Kate into his arms and rushed to his car.

Kate buried her face into his chest, letting out soft sobs.

Her heart raced—not from fear, but from excitement. The plan was working perfectly.

Once in the car, as Ryan sped through the streets like a madman, Kate discreetly reached into her purse, pulling out a small bottle filled with red liquid.

She carefully poured it onto the back of her dress, making sure it soaked in just the right spot. Then she tucked the bottle away, smeared the liquid onto her hands, and let out another dramatic wail.

“Ryan! I’m bleeding!” she cried, holding up her trembling hands. “Our baby… please, hurry!”

Ryan’s knuckles turned white as he gripped the steering wheel tighter.

His foot slammed on the gas, weaving through traffic recklessly. His mind was spinning with fear, guilt, and blinding rage.

“This is my fault.” He kept mumbling to himself as he drove.

They finally arrived at the hospital.

Ryan didn’t wait for help—he carried Kate inside, shouting for a doctor.

“She’s pregnant! She’s bleeding!” he yelled.

A team of nurses rushed over, taking Kate from his arms and wheeling her into the emergency room.

Ryan tried to follow, but a nurse stopped him.

“Sir, you need to wait here.”

Ryan paced the waiting room like a caged animal, his hands tugging at his hair.

His mind replayed the scene over and over—Kate’s screams, the blood, Serena’s face.

“Why did I let her go there after receiving the text? I should have stopped her!” He scolded himself.

After what felt like hours, a doctor finally emerged from the emergency room.

Ryan rushed over to him, his heart pounding as he stared intently into his face, demanding answers.

“How is she? How’s the baby?” he asked, his voice shaky.

The doctor sighed, pulling off his gloves.

“I’m sorry… we couldn’t save the baby. But the mother is stable.”

Ryan felt like the floor had been ripped out from under him.

His legs gave out, and he sank into a chair, burying his face in his hands.

“It’s my fault! It’s all my fucking fault!”

“I let this happen. I caused it! I should have prevented it from happening!”

After a few minutes, a nurse told him Kate had been moved to a private room.

Ryan stood up, his legs weak, and made his way there.

When he entered, Kate was lying on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling.

Her face was pale, tears streaming down her cheeks.

Ryan couldn’t hold it together. He fell to his knees beside her bed, grabbing her hand.

“I’m so sorry,” he whispered, his voice breaking. “I should’ve protected you. I should’ve been there. This is all my fault.”

Kate sniffled, squeezing his hand weakly.

“No, Ryan… it’s not your fault. It’s mine. I shouldn’t have gone to Serena’s house. I thought… I thought she just wanted to talk. I never imagined she’d—” She broke into sobs. “If I’d known she’d push me… if I’d known Serena would take our baby from us…”

Hearing Serena’s name sent a new wave of rage through Ryan.

He stood up, his fists clenched so tightly his knuckles turned white.

“She’ll pay for this,” he growled, his eyes dark with fury. “I swear, Serena will pay for taking our child’s life.”

Kate watched him through teary eyes, hiding the triumphant smile threatening to break through.

It worked.

Ryan’s grief had turned into hatred.

And all that hatred was now aimed at Serena.
