Rejected By My Mate; Claimed By Lycan Quadruplets Chapter 269
Serena rushed out of her office as soon as the clock hit closing time. She couldn’t wait to pick Amy up and take her out for a fun day.
She had promised Amy, and she wasn’t going to break that promise for anything.
As she drove to Amy’s school, her mind drifted back to everything that had happened recently—Ryan showing up unexpectedly, the custody threats, and now the constant worry about protecting Amy.
But today wasn’t going to be about any of that.
Today was just about having fun with her daughter.
When she arrived at the school, Amy was already waiting by the gate with her little backpack.
As soon as she saw Serena’s car, her face lit up with excitement.
“Mommy!” Amy called out, running to the car.
Serena stepped out, opening her arms wide. “Hey, my love! How was school today?”
“It was good!” Amy beamed. “We learned a new song, and Miss Betty said I did the best!”
Serena kissed the top of Amy’s head. “I’m so proud of you, sweetheart.
Now, let’s go get you changed so we can head out and have some fun!”
Amy hopped into the car eagerly, chattering the whole ride home about her school day.
Once they got home, Serena helped her change into a cute pink dress and white sneakers.
“Do I look pretty, Mommy?” Amy twirled in front of the mirror.
“You look absolutely beautiful, princess,” Serena said with a smile. “Now, let’s go!”
Their first stop was the shopping mall. As soon as they entered, Amy’s eyes widened in amazement.
“Mommy, look! Look at those dolls! And—and can I get some new coloring books too?”
Serena laughed. “Slow down, sweetie! We’ll get everything you need.”
As they moved from one aisle to another, Amy excitedly pointed at toys, clothes, and books.
Serena indulged her, placing everything into the cart.
“Mommy, can I get this unicorn backpack too? It’s so cute!”
Serena looked at the price and smiled. “Of course, baby. Anything for you.”
By the time they reached the checkout counter, their cart was overflowing with items.
The cashier smiled at them as she scanned each item.
“Looks like someone had a fun shopping spree!” The cashier grinned at Amy.
Amy giggled. “Yes! Mommy got me everything!”
“Make sure to say thank you to mommy for getting you everything, okay?” The cashier further said, her smile not leaving her face.
“Of course. Thanks so much mommy, for getting me all the stuff I wanted.” Amy says hugging Serena, making her heart swell so much as she thanked God for giving her such a sweet and loving child as her daughter.
“You’re always welcome baby. There’s nothing I won’t do to see this smile on your face.”
Serena paid for the items and wheeled the cart outside to the car.
After loading everything into the trunk, she turned to Amy. “Okay, next stop—the amusement park!”
Amy clapped her hands. “Yay! I can’t wait!”
As they drove, Serena’s phone rang.
She glanced at the screen and saw Nathan’s name flashing. She hesitated for a second before picking up.
“Hello, Nathan,” she greeted.
“Hey, Serena,” Nathan’s voice came through cheerfully. “How’s your day going? Still at the office?”
“My day, It’s going well,” she replied. “I’m not at the office presently. I’m actually taking Amy to the amusement park now.”
“Oh wow, That sounds fun,” Nathan said.
“Why don’t you send me the address? I’ll join you guys. It’ll be more fun with company. What do you think?”
Serena hesitated, unsure if she should let him come.
But then she thought, Why not? It wouldn’t hurt to have a friend around.
“Sure, I’ll text you the address,” she finally said.
“Great! I’ll see you soon,” Nathan said before hanging up.
Amy, who had been listening, piped up. “Who was that, Mommy?”
Serena smiled at her. “It was my friend Nathan. Remember? The one I went to the movies with a few weeks ago?”
Amy’s face brightened. “Oh! The nice man who took mommy out? I can’t wait to meet him! I need to know if he is more handsome than daddy.”
Serena chuckled. “Nathan is really a handsome guy and I think you’ll like him.”
“Handsome than daddy?” Amy asked, staring at Serena with a small smile on her face.
Serena giggled, wondering if Amy was an adult in the form of a child— Her thinking was top notch!
Serena didn’t bother replying to that and focused on driving.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the city, Ryan sat in his office, running his hands through his hair in frustration.
The day had been exhausting, filled with meetings and never-ending paperwork.
His mind kept drifting back to Serena and Amy. He was angry that Serena had taken Amy away from him so easily.
Grabbing his phone, he dialed Ethan’s number.
“Hey, Ethan, how are you doing?” Ryan asked , leaning back in his chair.
“Quite good, Ryan. What’s up?” Ethan’s voice sounded from the other end of the phone.
“Let’s go out tonight. I need to take my mind off things.” Ryan said.
Ethan chuckled on the other end. “You? Going out? That’s new. What’s going on?”
“I don’t want to talk about it,” Ryan muttered. “Just meet me at the club later tonight.”
“The club? Not ice hockey like always? Anyways, it’s fine man. See you there,” Ethan agreed before hanging up.
Ryan leaned back, staring at the ceiling.
He needed a break from everything—Serena, Amy, work. Just for one night.
Across town, in Rolly’s apartment…
Kate sat on the plush couch, swirling a glass of wine in her hand.
She had been fuming ever since Ryan told her about his plan to get custody of Amy.
“I can’t believe he’s actually thinking about bringing that child into our lives,” Kate huffed.
“I thought we were doing fine without her!”
Rolly, sitting opposite Kate with her own glass of wine, smirked.
“Well, if he gets custody, that means you’ll never have him all to yourself. Amy will always be there, reminding him of Serena.”
Kate scowled.
“Exactly! And I won’t let that happen. I need Ryan focused on me, not some kid from his past.”
Rolly tapped her chin thoughtfully.
“Then we need to make sure this custody thing never happens. If Serena stays the primary guardian, Ryan will have no choice but to back off eventually.”
Kate leaned forward. “What do you mean?”
Rolly grinned.
“We need to create a little… drama. Make it look like Amy isn’t safe with Ryan. A little incident here and there, and the court will never grant him custody.”
Kate’s eyes lit up.
“You’re brilliant, Rolly! We can plan something that’ll make him look irresponsible!”
Rolly clinked her glass against Kate’s.
“Here’s to making sure Serena keeps that child… and Ryan stays yours.”
Kate smirked. “Yes baby! I knew I could count on you.”
“Of course you can, baby. I’m always here to make sure no one gets to stress the hell out of you and our misery baby in your stomach.” Rolly uttered and they both bursted out laughing.
“You are such an idiot, Rolly. The baby in my stomach isn’t misery but instead, the baby is my stepping stone to achieve my goals—“
Kate says with a smirk plastered on her face and clicked glass with Rolly once more.
