Rejected By My Mate; Claimed By Lycan Quadruplets Chapter 274
It’s been a week already since all the incidents with Ryan. Serena walked into Rocky’s Designs that Monday morning, radiating confidence and grace.
Her heels clicked softly against the marble floors as she moved through the hallway, her fitted Sky-blue dress hugging her figure elegantly.
Employees greeted her politely, bowing slightly as she passed.
“Good morning, Ms. Winthrop,” one of the employees said with a warm smile.
Serena returned the smile graciously.
“Good morning, Clara. Hope you’re having a great day.”
“I am, thank you,” Clara replied, looking pleased as Serena continued walking.
She walked through the open space, acknowledging the polite greetings from other staff members before stepping into her office.
Emma, her efficient assistant, was already waiting inside with a tablet in her hand, ready to brief her on the day’s schedule.
“Good morning, Emma,” Serena said as she placed her handbag on the desk and took a seat.
“What do we have for today?”
Emma smiled, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
“Good morning, Ms. Winthrop. You have a pretty light schedule today, but there’s an important meeting scheduled in about twenty minutes.”
Serena raised an eyebrow. “A meeting? With who?”
Emma glanced at her tablet and then replied, “An international client, Bianca Taylor.
She recently moved back to Arizona and wants to furnish her new apartment. She specifically requested Rocky’s Designs.”
Serena’s eyes lit up. “That’s wonderful news. An international client means a great opportunity for us.”
Emma nodded.
“Exactly. From what I gathered, she’s a well-known model and has a strong following. If she loves our designs, it could boost our brand’s exposure.”
Serena tapped her fingers on the desk thoughtfully.
“A model, huh? That’s interesting. I’ll have to make sure we impress her.”
Emma grinned. “I have no doubt you will.”
Serena chuckled. “Thanks for the confidence. What else is on my schedule?”
Emma scrolled through her tablet.
“After the meeting, you have a brief call with the suppliers about the new shipment. Then, in the afternoon, you’ll be reviewing the new furniture line before it goes into production.”
Serena nodded, taking it all in.
“Alright, sounds good. Let’s focus on making this meeting with Bianca Taylor a success first.”
“Absolutely,” Emma said before gathering her things and heading for the door. “I’ll let you know when she arrives.”
Serena leaned back in her chair, feeling a sense of excitement about the potential deal.
Twenty minutes later, Emma knocked and stepped inside with a bright smile.
“Ms. Winthrop, Ms Bianca Taylor is here.”
Serena stood up, smoothing her dress as the office door opened.
The moment Bianca walked into Rocky’s designs, heads turned as almost all the employees couldn’t take their eyes off her.
She exuded elegance with every step, her long dark hair cascading over her shoulders.
She wore a chic white jumpsuit that clung perfectly to her slender figure, her makeup flawless, her eyes sharp and calculating beneath long lashes.
Serena extended her hand with a professional smile.
“Welcome to Rocky’s Designs, Ms. Taylor. I’m Serena Winthrop, the CEO.”
Bianca took Serena’s hand, shaking it firmly while her lips curled into a charming smile.
“Bianca Taylor. It’s a pleasure, Ms. Winthrop. I’ve heard great things about your company.”
Serena gestured toward the seating area. “Please, have a seat.”
Bianca’s gaze lingered on Serena for a moment before she gracefully lowered herself into the plush chair.
Serena sat opposite her, maintaining her warm, professional demeanor.
“So,” Serena began, “I understand you’re looking to furnish your new apartment?”
Bianca crossed her legs elegantly and nodded.
“Yes. I’ve just relocated to Arizona, and I want my place to reflect my style. I need something modern, luxurious, yet cozy.”
Serena smiled.
“You’ve come to the right place. We pride ourselves on blending elegance with comfort. Do you have any specific ideas in mind?”
Bianca tapped her perfectly manicured nails on the armrest, watching Serena closely.
“I trust your expertise. Surprise me.”
Serena chuckled lightly.
“That’s what I love to hear.” She reached for a catalog and handed it to Bianca.
“We have a range of options, from minimalist to grand luxury designs. Take your time and let me know what catches your eye.”
Bianca flipped through the pages slowly, but her focus wasn’t on the designs.
She was studying Serena’s face, her mannerisms, her smile.
After a moment, Bianca spoke again.
“Since I’m new in town, I don’t really have anyone to hang out with yet.” She looked at Serena with a small, almost vulnerable smile.
“It’s been a bit lonely.”
Serena, always eager to make her clients feel comfortable, smiled warmly.
“That’s completely understandable. Moving to a new place can be overwhelming.”
She paused for a moment before adding, “If you’d like, I wouldn’t mind showing you around sometime. After all, you’re one of our valued clients now.”
Bianca’s lips curled in satisfaction, though she hid it well. “That would be lovely, Ms Serena.”
They continued their conversation, discussing different styles, colors, and materials.
Serena recommended pieces that suited Bianca’s tastes, and Bianca pretended to be deeply interested, nodding along and asking questions.
After finalizing her selections, Bianca stood up with a bright smile.
“Thank you so much, Ms Serena. I feel confident I made the right choice coming here.”
Serena extended her hand again.
“I’m glad to hear that. We’ll ensure everything is perfect for you.”
Bianca shook her hand firmly before adding, “Let’s stay in touch.”
Serena nodded. “Of course. I’ll be personally overseeing your project.”
They exchanged numbers before Bianca strutted out of the office, her heels clicking against the floor.
Once Bianca settled into her car, the polite smile on her face vanished, replaced by a deep scowl.
She gripped the steering wheel tightly, her nails digging into the leather.
She picked up her phone and dialed Maddie.
The line connected instantly.
“Tell me everything! I’ve been waiting for your call for so long—“ Maddie’s voice chirped excitedly.
Bianca scoffed. “You won’t believe it, Maddie.”
“What? What happened?” Maddie asked eagerly.
Bianca rolled her eyes.
“Serena Winthrop? Please. I expected some sophisticated competition, but she’s just… basic.”
Maddie gasped. “No way! What’s she like?”
“She’s nice,” Bianca said mockingly. “Too nice. All smiles and professionalism. Trying so hard to impress me.”
Maddie giggled. “She doesn’t know who she’s dealing with.”
“Exactly,” Bianca sneered. “She offered to be my friend, Maddie. Can you believe that?”
Maddie burst into laughter. “She walked right into your trap!”
Bianca smirked.
“She has no idea what’s coming. I’ll be watching her closely, learning everything I can. And when the time is right…”
Maddie sighed dreamily. “You’ll crush her.”
Bianca’s eyes darkened.
“She took what’s mine, Maddie. I’m going to take everything from her.”
Maddie hummed. “I love it. Keep me updated, okay?”
“Of course,” Bianca said before hanging up and driving off, her mind set on her next move.
