Rejected By My Mate; Claimed By Lycan Quadruplets Chapter 357
Serena sat in her office, her long fingers tapping against the polished wood of her desk as she stared at the numbers on her screen.
The last few days had been a blur. The engagement announcement between Ryan and Kate had stolen all the media attention, helping her business recover from the damage Kate had caused.
Clients were slowly returning, though some still refused to answer calls or emails.
None of it mattered, though.
Because Serena had never been one to beg.
She had built Rocky’s Designs from the ground up, without anyone’s help, and she would continue to succeed with or without those clients.
If they didn’t want to return, then so be it. She would find new ones.
She leaned back in her chair, rubbing her temples. The only thing she regretted was pulling Amy out of school in the first place.
She had been so focused on keeping her daughter safe from public scrutiny that she had forgotten that hiding wasn’t the answer.
But now, things are settling down and her princess was already back to school and that’s all that matters to her.
And soon, she would make sure Kate Andrews was nothing more than a footnote in her past.
A knock at the door pulled her out of her thoughts.
“Come in,” she called, expecting Emma with another client update.
But when the door opened, and she saw who stepped in, her entire demeanor shifted.
Mr. Thomas Winters.
The older man walked in with the same presence he had always carried—calm, composed, but filled with a quiet authority that made people listen.
His tailored black suit was crisp, his silver cufflinks gleaming under the office lights. His expression was unreadable, but his sharp, assessing eyes locked onto her like a predator watching its prey.
Serena remained seated, her face betraying no emotion.
“Mr. Winters,” she greeted coolly. “This is unexpected.”
Thomas closed the door behind him and strode toward her desk, his polished shoes clicking against the floor. “I thought it was time we had a conversation.”
Serena arched her brow. “About what?”
He placed both hands on her desk, leaning forward slightly. “About my son.”
Serena let out a quiet, humorless chuckle, shaking her head. “Of course.”
Thomas’s expression remained firm. “I want to know why you’re still clinging to him.”
Serena’s lips curled slightly. “Clinging? That’s an interesting choice of words.”
Thomas’s eyes darkened. “Don’t play games with me. You and Ryan divorced years ago. You should have moved on.”
Serena exhaled sharply, standing from her chair. She walked slowly around the desk, her heels clicking against the floor as she came to a stop just a few feet away from him. “I did move on,” she said simply. “Ryan is the one who keeps coming back.”
Thomas scoffed. “You expect me to believe that?”
Serena shrugged. “Believe what you want. It doesn’t change the truth.”
His fingers curled against the desk as he studied her. “You had your chance with Ryan, and you failed. You were never the right woman for him.”
Serena smirked. “That’s funny, considering I was the one he married.”
“Because he was forced to,” Thomas snapped.
“And yet, he still ends up in my bed,” she shot back.
His jaw tightened, his entire body stiffening.
Serena tilted her head. “Did that sting a little?”
Thomas exhaled through his nose. “Enough.”
Serena crossed her arms. “What do you want, Mr. Winters? You didn’t come all this way just to insult me.”
Thomas inhaled deeply before speaking. “I want you to leave Ryan alone.”
Serena let out a laugh, shaking her head. “You act like I’m the one chasing after him. But that’s not the case, is it?”
Thomas straightened. “You are standing in the way of his future.”
Serena raised a brow. “Oh, you mean his future with Kate?”
Thomas’s nostrils flared. “Kate is the woman he belongs with.”
Serena took a slow step closer. “Even after you found out I had his child? Even after you learned Amy is your granddaughter?”
Thomas’s expression didn’t change. “That child changes nothing.”
Serena felt something sharp twist in her chest, but she refused to let it show.
“Of course not,” she said bitterly. “Because the Winters family only accepts what benefits them.”
Thomas remained silent, but his jaw twitched slightly.
Serena scoffed. “Ryan and I were married, we had a child, and yet you and your wife continue to pretend we don’t exist even after the truth is revealed.”
“Ryan doesn’t need you,” Thomas said coldly.
Serena smiled. “And yet, he keeps coming back.”
Thomas’s patience was wearing thin, she could see it in the way his shoulders tensed, in the way his fingers dug into the desk.
“This is your last warning, Serena,” he said finally. “Walk away.”
Serena stepped even closer, her voice lowering. “Or what?”
Thomas met her gaze. “Or you’ll regret it.”
Serena let the silence stretch between them before speaking again.
“You want to know why I’m with Ryan now?” she asked, tilting her head. “It’s not because I love him. It’s not because I want him back.”
Thomas narrowed his eyes.
Serena’s smirk widened. “I only let him into my bed to piss Kate off. My aim is to fuck him senseless and piss the hell out of Kate.”
Something flickered in his expression.
Serena continued. “She spent years ruining my life, years chasing after my husband, and now, I’m just returning the favor by becoming the side chick Kate was years away in my marriage.”
Thomas inhaled sharply, clearly frustrated. “You’re playing a dangerous game.”
Serena chuckled. “So is your son. But unlike him, I know exactly what I’m doing.”
Thomas clenched his jaw. “Ryan will marry Kate.”
Serena smirked. “If you say so. I don’t give a shit about that and it won’t stop me from fucking him either.”
Thomas turned to leave but paused at the door. “Stay away from my son, Serena.”
Serena leaned against her desk, her arms crossing as she watched him. “Tell him to stay away from me first and even if he does, I’ll still shove him back into my bed.”
With that, Thomas stormed out, slamming the door behind him.
Serena exhaled slowly, the room now silent.
She knew Thomas Winters wasn’t a man to take lightly, but she wasn’t afraid of him.
If he wanted a fight, he was going to get one.
“No one can make me stop sleeping with Ryan. This is his nemesis!”
