Rejected By My Mate; Claimed By Lycan Quadruplets Chapter 273

The soft evening breeze blew through the balcony, rustling the sheer white curtains behind her.

The woman sat elegantly on a sleek white chair, one leg crossed over the other, her slender fingers tracing the rim of a wine glass resting on the table.

Her perfectly manicured nails gleamed under the dim lights, and her lips curled into a small, bitter smile as she gazed down at the stunning estate below.

From her high vantage point, the city stretched out before her in a sea of dazzling lights and towering buildings.

She took a slow sip of her red wine, savoring the taste, before setting the glass down with a soft clink.

Her piercing green eyes turned to the man seated across from her, his expression unreadable, his hands resting on his knees.

“Tell me,” she said, her voice silky but carrying an unmistakable edge. “What did you find out?”

The man, dressed in a crisp gray suit, reached into his jacket and pulled out a thick envelope.

He placed it on the table and slid it toward her.

“I think you’ll find this interesting, Miss Taylor,” he said, his tone cool and professional.

She narrowed her eyes and reached for the envelope, pulling out a stack of glossy photographs.

As she flipped through them, her expression slowly hardened.

The first picture showed Nathan standing in the amusement park, his face bright with laughter.

In the next, he was crouched down, speaking to a little girl with wide, innocent eyes and bouncing curls. And then there was the woman. Serena.

The woman clenched the pictures tightly in her hand, her nails digging into the glossy surface.

Her voice was sharp and laced with bitterness. “Who is she?”

The investigator leaned forward slightly. “Her name is Serena. Serena Winthrop. She’s the mother of the child.” He paused, then added with emphasis, “And she’s also the CEO of Rocky’s Designs, the furniture company.”

The woman scoffed, a humorless chuckle escaping her lips.

“You’re telling me Nathan left me—an international supermodel, adored by millions—to be with a… a CEO of some furniture company?” Her voice dripped with disbelief and mockery.

“Unbelievable.”

She threw the pictures down onto the table, the glossy sheets scattering across the glass surface.

Leaning back in her chair, she crossed her arms and shook her head in disbelief.

The private investigator watched her carefully.

“It seems they’ve been spending quite a bit of time together,” he said.

“Yesterday, they were at the amusement park for hours. Laughing, playing, getting ice cream.” He pointed at one of the pictures. “As you can see, they look pretty close.”

She picked up one of the photos, staring at it with an unreadable expression.

“So, this is what he left me for?” she muttered under her breath. “A woman with a child?”

The investigator remained silent, sensing her growing anger.

With a sudden burst of frustration, she grabbed her handbag, pulled out a thick bundle of cash, and tossed it onto the table.

“Here. For your hard work,” she said coldly. “You did good.”

The man nodded and gathered his things. “If you need anything else, you know where to find me.”

She didn’t respond, merely staring at the pictures as he walked away, leaving her alone with her thoughts.

After a moment, she picked up her phone and dialed a number.

The line rang twice before a cheerful voice answered. “Hey, Bianca! It’s been forever. What’s up?”

Bianca sighed heavily, swirling her wine in her glass.

“I finally figured it out, Maddie.”

“What did you figure out?” Maddie asked curiously.

“The reason Nathan left me and came back to Arizona,” Bianca said, her voice tight with barely restrained emotion.

There was a brief pause. “Oh my God. Tell me everything.”

Bianca clenched her jaw.

“It’s some woman, Maddie. Some furniture company CEO named Serena.”

“Serena?” Maddie echoed, clearly surprised. “You mean to tell me Nathan dumped you, the famous Bianca Taylor, for someone who sells furniture?”

Bianca let out a dry laugh.

“Can you believe it? After everything we had together? After all the years we spent? He left me for… this.”

Maddie groaned.

“Men are the worst. But wait, does he know you followed him to Arizona?”

Bianca smirked, swirling her wine again.

“No. He doesn’t. And I plan to keep it that way. For now.”

There was a sly note in Maddie’s voice. “So, what’s the plan?”

Bianca leaned forward, resting her elbows on the table. “I’m going to meet her.”

Maddie gasped. “You’re going to confront her?”

Bianca shook her head. “Not directly. I have a better idea.”

“What are you thinking?”

“I’ll approach her as a client,” Bianca said, a wicked smile spreading across her lips.

“That way, I can get close to her without raising any suspicion.”

Maddie whistled. “That’s… genius. You’ll get all the information you need.”

“Exactly,” Bianca replied.

“I want to see what she has that made Nathan throw everything we had away. I need to know what kind of woman she is.”

Maddie laughed. “And what are you going to do once you know?”

Bianca’s eyes darkened as she stared at the pictures again.

“I’ll decide that when the time comes.”

Maddie sighed dramatically.

“You’re always so calculated. I love it. Just be careful, B. Don’t let Nathan find out you’re here. You know how he can be.”

Bianca rolled her eyes. “I know. But I’m not backing down, Maddie. Nathan is mine, and I’m not letting him go without a fight.”

Maddie giggled. “That’s my girl. Keep me updated, okay? I want all the details.”

“Of course,” Bianca said, smirking. “You’ll be the first to know.”

After ending the call, Bianca leaned back in her chair and gazed out at the city lights, determination burning in her eyes.

“Oh Nathan,” she whispered to herself. “You thought you could just leave me behind after all these years? You’ve got to think again, boo boo.”

She picked up one of the pictures again, studying Serena’s face closely.

A slow smile curled on her lips. “Let’s see what you’re really made of, Serena Winthrop.”

With that, she stood up, smoothing down her silk robe, and walked inside, her mind already racing with plans for their encounter.
