Alex felt a sudden wave of dizziness and his body swayed.

He gripped Harper's wrist so tightly it left bruises.

Harper felt like her bones were about to snap.

"You are the betrayer, aren't you? On our wedding day, you said you would never love me, that I was free to be with anyone as long as it wasn't discovered and didn't bring shame to the Lavien family. We wouldn't interfere with each other's lives."

"I couldn't question your private life, and you couldn't question my feelings. That was our agreement. You told me you had another woman in your heart, so you wouldn't love me. So I found Caden. Now, what right do you have to question me?"

It was all his doing.

During those years, even when they were intimate, she had thought he was thinking of another woman.

"Harper, you're here too. What a coincidence. Dad's in the hospital, and I need to take care of him. I'll leave with Alex first."

Harper remained expressionless, not even lifting her eyelids, completely ignoring her.

As she turned, Emily caught sight of the pregnancy report, her pupils dilating in shock.

Though her words were tempting, Sable still didn't understand how she could help Emily.

Before she could ask, Emily continued, "Mom, listen. Harper is taking medication prescribed by Frank. She left in a hurry today and didn't bring it. Have your husband add a few doses to the medicine to cause her natural miscarriage. Don't worry; your husband won't be in danger."

She had already thought it through. This was the only way to ensure Harper's child wouldn't survive.

Her eyes turned cold, her tone even more sinister. "Is there a kind that, after drinking it, causes the body to gradually weaken and all organs to progressively fail?"

She asked in a low voice. She even wanted Harper dead.
