After leaving the villa, Harper hopped into a cab and headed straight back to her apartment. She was feeling pretty wiped out.

So, after a quick rinse, she crashed into bed.

Early the next morning, before she was fully awake, her phone started buzzing.

Groggily, she grabbed it from the bedside table and saw it was Caden calling.

Why was he calling so early?

"Hey, what's up?" She mumbled, her voice lazy and way different from her usual cool tone.

"Still in bed, Sleeping Beauty?" His voice was as cheerful as the morning sun.

"Take a look out your window," He teased with a casual laugh.

Instantly, Harper's sleepiness vanished.

Could he be downstairs?

Harper quickly threw on a robe and walked over to the window, pulling back the curtain.

Sure enough, Caden was sitting in his car, looking up and blowing her a kiss.

She quickly closed the curtain.

"What are you doing?" She asked, now fully awake.

Caden's laugh came through the phone. "Starting today, I'm your personal driver."

He paused and sighed lightly. "I told you, I'm going to pursue you. I need to show my sincerity. I don't want such a beautiful girlfriend to be snatched away by someone else."

"The game is over. You don't need to keep acting," Harper replied, her voice much clearer now.

He had promised to help her win.

Now, her marriage with Alex was over.

Everything was over.

Now, Harper just wanted a quiet life, free from any romantic entanglements.

Besides, Caden wasn't her type.

"Who said I'm acting? I'm serious," He said, half-joking, half-serious.

"Why don't you give it a try and see if it's real or not?" He said before hanging up.

Harper peeked out from behind the curtain again, only to be caught by Caden's gaze.

He puckered his lips and mouthed, "I'm waiting for you."

He's crazy, Harper thought, pulling the curtain shut in frustration.

But she didn't keep him waiting long.

Harper wasn't the type to waste other people's time, so she quickly got ready and went downstairs with barely any makeup on.

Even without makeup, she was still stunning.

Her glowing skin caught the morning sunlight, shimmering like a pearl.

Her eyes were bright and clear, like water.

Her pink lips were so inviting that one couldn't help but want to take a bite.

Caden stared at her, momentarily dazed.

"Ms. Orsini, you're really beautiful. I like beautiful women," He said, openly admiring her.

Harper didn't even glance at him and got into the car.

The drive from her apartment to the Lavien Group wasn't far. Harper had specifically bought an apartment close to work for convenience.

Soon, the flashy red Porsche made a dramatic drift around the company entrance and parked right in front, blocking the main door.

It was peak time for employees arriving at work, so many people saw Harper getting out of Caden's car.

"What's going on? Is Ms. Orsini dating Mr. Elikin?" they whispered among themselves.

Harper was speechless.

She shot Caden a cold glare. Did he really have to be so flashy and make sure everyone saw?

Caden, however, looked completely unbothered, squinting and smiling. "If I'm going to pursue you, I want everyone to know."

Harper ignored him and got out of the car.

Just then, Caden called out with a mischievous grin, "Ms. Orsini, wait!"

Harper stopped and turned to look at him. He pressed a button, and the trunk popped open, revealing a sea of red roses spilling out.

Everyone was stunned.

Harper was both embarrassed and furious. "You're crazy!" she snapped, turning and walking away without looking back.

Caden looked up at one of the windows and waved casually.

Following his gaze, Alex stood at the large window, holding a cup of coffee, unmoving like a statue. But for some reason, his heart ached.

The door opened, and the sound of Emily's high heels echoed as she walked in.

She stood beside him, also witnessing the scene.

Her mouth dropped open in surprise.

"What is Harper doing? This is the company. What will people say?" she said, turning to Alex with a soft, concerned tone. "Has Harper always been like this? She just divorced you and is already in another relationship. If it were me, I'd mourn for a long time."

She looked at Alex with watery eyes. "If you broke up with me, I'd never love anyone else for the rest of my life."

A tear even fell from her eye.

"I can't even think about it without my heart breaking. How does Harper make it? Did she never truly care about you?"

Alex's heart grew colder.

He had always believed Harper loved him deeply.

But now, it seemed her love wasn't that deep. She moved on so quickly.

"I think Harper was just using you for your status. Now that you dumped her, she's latched onto Mr. Elikin. Harper is really a hussy," Emily said, her expression innocent yet indignant.

Suddenly, Alex turned and downed his now-cold coffee.

He placed the cup on the table and walked out without acknowledging Emily.

On her way to her office, Harper received a message from her attorney saying her divorce decree had been issued.

Harper's office was diagonally across from the CEO's office. Alex walked in without knocking.

She had just sat down and was about to turn on her computer when she saw a tall, handsome figure standing in front of her.

"Mr. Lavien, do you need something?" She asked, standing up with a calm expression.

"Caden is a notorious playboy. Do you really think he's interested in a divorced woman like you?" His eyes were dark, and his tone was cold.

A divorced woman?

Those words stung her ears.

"He's using you. Once he's done, he'll toss you aside like trash. Wake up," He said, his voice icy.

Even though they were divorced, he couldn't stand seeing her with another man, especially someone like Caden.

Harper's expression remained unchanged, her tone even calmer as she asked, "I know all that, but I don't understand, what does this have to do with you, Mr. Lavien?"
