Without a doubt, Harper was genuinely offering her a way out.

Lillian quieted down, hope flickering in her tear-streaked eyes.

She understood that Harper's words had given her a new lease on life.

She pulled herself together, her eyes shining brightly. "Ms. Orsini, I can help you take down Neal."

She wanted to repay the favor.

Harper didn't turn around, just shook her head slightly and walked straight out of the stairwell.

Lillian called out softly behind her, "Ms. Orsini, are you just going to let it go? Aren't you angry?"

Neal was clearly the mastermind, so why didn't Harper retaliate against him?

Harper turned to look at her. "Lillian, I'll say it again; live your own life well. living your best life is the greatest revenge against others."

Harper paused, then said calmly, "Besides, why do you think he won't pay the price?"

Harper smiled lightly.

With Harper's character, how could she let her opponent off so easily?

"Lillian, I always repay my debts."

With that, Harper really left.

Two security guards escorted Lillian out of the building.

When Harper returned to the conference room, her assistant approached and reported, "Ms. Orsini, the interview room is ready, and the reporters are here."

Harper nodded and waved to Manuel, Felix, and a few other executives. "Please step outside for a moment."

Then she turned her gaze to Neal. "I need to speak with you later. Meet me in the lounge in half an hour."

Neal had already regained his composure and nodded at Harper.

He could guess why Harper wanted to talk to him alone.

But he wasn't afraid. She had no evidence, and he would deny everything.

There was also the possibility that Harper wanted to find a breakthrough through him. Without evidence to accuse Luminary Innovations Inc. of stealing confidential information, he was the only lead.

If he confessed and exposed Luminary Innovations Inc., it would expedite FusionX Company's acquisition of Luminary Innovations Inc.

He envisioned Harper might offer him a large sum of money or promise him more benefits once he got out of prison.

If handled well, his sentence could be less than three years, and he would receive millions of dollars in compensation. It seemed like a good deal.

He calculated many things in his mind. He thought Harper was determined to win, but he wouldn't give in because it wasn't about the money!

Neal shook his head slightly, a mocking smile on his lips.

He would never betray Luminary Innovations Inc., no matter what Harper offered.

The press conference was held in the lounge, and Harper truthfully explained everything that had happened at FusionX Company.

She concluded that FusionX Company was a national enterprise and would never sell trade secrets to foreign companies.

"In fact, I didn't do much. It was an unsung hero within the company. Initially, Luminary Innovations Inc. approached him with the temptation of substantial rewards, endeavoring to persuade him to pilfer company secrets."

"However, he remained steadfast in his refusal, expressing that his patriotic devotion was unwavering. He sought me out, confessed everything, and ultimately, it was his strategic planning that facilitated our success. Without his contribution, FusionX Company wouldn't have today's victory."

Everyone was stunned. Was there really such a person in the company?

The reporters were excited and quickly asked, "Ms. Orsini, is this unsung hero here today?"

The cameras scanned everyone's faces.

Felix looked at Harper, confused. How had he never heard of this?Harper smiled playfully, then looked at the reporters and said, "This unsung hero is just outside. I'll have my assistant bring him in."

Several cameras focused on the door.

The assistant opened the door, making way for Neal to enter.

Neal had no idea what was happening and walked in slowly, bewildered.

There were many people in the lounge, and cameras were rolling. What was going on?

Wasn't Harper supposed to meet him alone?

What was happening? Why were the reporters filming him? Had he been exposed?

Harper stood up and walked to the door, warmly embracing Neal and introducing him. "The person I'm talking about is him. He is Neal Lopez."

"Wow, he's so young." The reporters stood up, full of surprise.

The cameras zoomed in on Neal for a close-up.

"Can we interview Mr. Lopez? We'd like to know more details."

"Sorry, Neal just got out of the police station. He's been cooperating with the investigation and hasn't rested for days. The interview will have to wait. I want him to go home and get some rest first."

Harper's face was gentle and smiling.

But to Neal, her smile was filled with cold, murderous intent.

In an instant, Neal felt like he was being wrapped by a beautiful but deadly snake.

The reporters, unaware of the tension between the two, didn't press further and instead offered Neal some words of comfort before ending the interview.

From start to finish, Neal had no idea what was happening. His mind was buzzing, and he couldn't think straight.

After the reporters left, Brock couldn't hold back any longer. He slammed the table and roared, "Harper, you and Neal teamed up to trick us? The company secrets weren't leaked; why you didn't say anything? No wonder Felix dared to sign that agreement. You had it all planned out."

He kicked over a chair in a fit of rage.

Felix quickly stepped in front of Harper and slapped Brock across the face.

Brock's face seemed to twist from the impact. "Are you crazy, hitting people like that?"

Brock gritted his teeth. "Felix, you won. You're Harper's best accomplice! Get out of my way. In the past, you wouldn't even have the right to stand next to me!"

Marvin didn't care Brock's hysterical image. He wanted Brock to go mad and tear off Harper's mask of hypocrisy.

Harper smiled faintly, looking at Brock, and said calmly, "I didn't team up with Neal."

"What?"

Brock, in his rage, was stunned, and Marvin was also taken aback. What did she mean?

Neal looked at Harper, then at Marvin, his face gradually turning pale.

She was really crazy! She not only wanted him dead but also his entire family.

"This is the interview video from earlier, Neal. Take a look."

Harper played the video the reporters had sent on the big screen.

Neal watched the video in a daze.

"In a while, when FusionX Company acquires Luminary Innovations Inc.'s domestic subsidiary, I'll have the reporters post the interview video online." Harper smiled lazily.

"Neal, can you imagine the uproar this video would cause if it were posted online?"

"People in the country will praise you, calling you a national hero. But is your nationality still in the country?"

Harper's smile was both mocking and cold. "Neal, did you really think I couldn't do anything to you? You should know that sometimes, judgment outside the law is more brutal. You're a smart person; you should understand what I mean."

Neal stood stiffly for a long time, then knelt before Harper.
