As soon as Xavia spoke, her manager froze.

She never thought Xavia would threaten her over this.

Thinking about everything she had done for Xavia over the years, the manager felt ridiculous. Xavia had never changed; she had always been this selfish and malicious woman. It was the manager who had been too naive.

Now, she had to think about herself. Someone like Xavia meant nothing to her anymore. She needed to negotiate terms with Xavia to secure her own future.

"I'll take the fall for you, but you gotta transfer half your assets to the virtual account I give you right now and destroy all the evidence." She almost choked on her words as she said them.

Xavia agreed, nodding.

Quickly, through a third party, the large sum of money was transferred, and the evidence was destroyed. The manager then kept her promise and turned herself in.

Xavia felt a hollow emptiness inside.

Harper was the first to know about the manager's decision to turn herself in. She had long suspected that Xavia would force her manager to do this.

Sure enough, Xavia was ruthless.

Harper took advantage of the situation and the next day exposed a shocking scandal.

The Majestic City Orphanage Foundation was revealed to be involved in a child abuse scandal, with some high-profile individuals implicated in the abuse. 

Undercover journalists recorded footage of the children living in basement cells that resembled prison cells, with the children chained up.

Following the exposure, authorities immediately launched a thorough investigation. Those involved were detained and questioned.

As a spokesperson for several orphanage charities in Majestic City, Xavia was also attacked and vilified. 

Her fans tried to defend her, but various organizations, including the Women's Union, condemned Xavia for her lack of morality.

Initially, Xavia's fans thought the matter would blow over quickly. After all, other celebrities had endorsed problematic causes before and managed to recover by severing ties and cleaning up their image. But they didn't realize how big this scandal would become.

With the authorities focusing on the foundation, a thorough investigation was inevitable. 

Some even suspected that Xavia had made some unsavory deals with certain individuals. According to the authorities, Xavia's career was effectively over.

Soon, insiders took to the internet to discuss the severity of the foundation's issues. Xavia had been using the foundation's name to gain favor, but it was all a facade.

Seeing the negative comments online, Xavia didn't dare to respond.

Before this matter could settle, people began investigating Xavia's recent brand contracts.

One luxury watch brand she endorsed was linked to an arrested factory manager.

The show "Enchanting Spring Impression," which Xavia was involved with, had its biggest investor, the president of Spring Impression Film Company, also arrested.

Meanwhile, the Davis Group announced that all brand contracts involving Xavia were terminated. These endorsement deals would go to a more deserving spokesperson, and they revealed the new spokesperson's photos.

The new spokesperson was Molly.

The endorsements Xavia had once flaunted in front of Molly were now Molly's.

Xavia's fans were furious but powerless.

"The so-called kind-hearted top actress? She was a talentless star who had won awards through bribery. This scandal was finally exposed."

As for her kind-hearted image? On set, she wouldn't allow co-stars to outshine her, or they would be written out or replaced.

These were all part of Harper's plan, a gift for Xavia.

Xavia had deliberately created a scandal for Molly, so Harper made sure Xavia tasted her own medicine. It was her just desserts.

Ironically, Molly's outstanding performance in "Mist" had made her a trending topic. Both women were trending, but one for good reasons, the other for bad.

At the hospital

The illegitimate son, whose mother had been killed by Aria, was closely following the news and mentioned Xavia's downfall to Aria.

Aria let out a guttural growl. Her eyes seemed to bleed with disbelief.

She had been waiting for Molly to meet a tragic end, but now it was clear the Davis Group was protecting Molly and targeting Xavia. The Davis Group's stance reflected Arthur's stance, showing he no longer cared about Xavia and only wanted to protect Molly.

She had been struggling, waiting for Molly to face retribution, but who was actually facing retribution? Only her!

What was the point of living like this?

Aria's breathing became more labored, and she lost all will to live.

The illegitimate son sneered and called for a doctor, instructing them to put her on a ventilator.

"How can I let you die so easily in the hospital?" His voice was cold. "I'll make sure living is more painful than dying for you."

Aria made a choking sound, as if something was stuck in her throat. Her face contorted in anger and resistance.

It was all over. Xavia was lost, not knowing what to do.

Edwin had been released and, seeing her in this state, felt a twinge of pity. But then he remembered how she had caused his company's stock to plummet, and his anger flared up again.

To him, money was far more important than Xavia.

"Xavia, let's call off our engagement," Edwin spoke coldly. "From today on, we have nothing to do with each other."

Suddenly, Xavia's face twisted in rage. "I abandoned Arthur for you, and now you're abandoning me? Edwin, are you even a man?"
