Chloe shook her head over and over, refusing to listen to Noah's explanations.

The more he tried to defend Harper, the angrier she got.

"Noah, I don't want to hear it. Just tell me, are you planning to team up with the Lavien Group to go against FusionX Company? And let me be clear, no matter what, I'm going to keep fighting FusionX Company."

Noah frowned, his tone serious. "I promised you, and I won't go back on my word."

Seeing that they were about to argue over Harper, Lucas averted his gaze to his phone and sighed. "Good, at least Noah's got some backbone. I'll introduce you to some high-society ladies, and maybe then you'll forget about Harper."

Chloe then turned and left.

Lucas asked, "Noah, why is Chloe so mad?"

Noah said, "She's worried I'll get together with Harper and go easy on her because of it."

Noah sighed. He liked Harper, but he wasn't that impulsive. For him, feelings and business were two separate things.

Lucas, however, looked surprised, shouting, "Are you kidding? Why would Harper be interested in you?" 

Noah kicked him in a rage. "Get out! Get out of my office!"

Lucas pouted, jumping off the couch reluctantly. He was just telling the truth.

After Lucas left, Noah took a photo of Harper from his drawer and looked at it closely. In the picture, Harper was smiling in the sunlight, her whole being bathed in a soft glow, warm and beautiful.

His eyes deepened as he gently touched Harper's face in the photo.

He thought, what he told Chloe was true. He would indeed go against FusionX Company because he liked Harper. He wanted to take down FusionX Company and win Harper over.

Since Alex was fighting again FusionX Company for Harper, why couldn't he do the same?

After all, he liked Harper too.

And besides, feelings didn't follow a first-come, first-served rule.

The Wright siblings' conflict was unknown to Harper. She had been too busy lately to pay attention to anything else. 

But that afternoon, she received a call from an unknown number.

Harper was a bit surprised but answered the call anyway.

"Is this Harper Orsini?"

"Yes, it is."

She could faintly hear the person on the other end sounding surprised. "It's really Ms. Orsini; it's really her!"

Harper was even more puzzled, not knowing what the call was about.

Harper asked, "What can I do for you?"

If it wasn't important, Harper was ready to hang up.

"Ms. Orsini, we're from the Celebrity Outback Adventure show."

Harper was speechless.

Why would a show be calling her? She never participated in variety shows, and she wasn't a celebrity.

"Sorry, you must have the wrong number."

"No, Ms. Orsini, we're looking for you."

A representative explained cautiously, ""The situation is as follows, our production team had arranged for a temporary guest, but unfortunately, this guest is unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances We also invited Molly Reyes, and we heard she's your friend. So we were wondering if you could join her for the recording?"

"Molly?" Hearing Molly's name, Harper was stunned.

She knew Molly had been busy with various shows lately.

"How did you know Molly and I are friends? I don't think our relationship is public."

The person on the other end laughed awkwardly. "Someone in the entertainment industry wanted to dig up dirt on Ms. Reyes, so they looked into her background and found out about you."

So, their friendship had become public knowledge.

Hearing that someone wanted to go after Molly, Harper's eyes flashed with determination.

If it involved someone else, she might not care, but since it was about Molly, she had to step in. Harper had to show that as long as she was around, no one could mess with Molly.

Harper said, "Alright, I'll do it. When does the recording start?"

"You really agreed!" The representative's voice rose with excitement. Getting Harper's confirmation was thrilling.

"Great! I'll send you the schedule. You only need to record for three days."

After Harper hung up, Caden couldn't help but ask, "Someone invited you to a variety show?"

Harper walked over and sat beside him, nodding as she explained, "It's a program that Molly is participating in. They mentioned they were short one guest, and having heard that I am a close friend of hers, they inquired whether I might have time to join."

Celebrity Outback Adventure was a popular survival show that Molly had been invited to. Harper spent two days watching previous episodes.

The show was quite popular, focusing on wilderness survival. It sounded interesting, but since the guests were all celebrities with no real survival skills, it wasn't too challenging.

Molly was a temporary guest, only recording one episode. The regular cast included three people, two men and one woman, all professional actors.

Besides Molly, there were two other temporary guests, one of whom was Harper.

The show hadn't officially started, but the crew had already begun live streaming.

It was a live-streamed show that would be edited and aired later.

Soon, the live stream attracted a large audience, and the chat was flooded with comments.

The assistant director smiled and said, "Ms. Reyes is one of our special guests. Welcome, Ms. Reyes. She was exhausted from last night's recording, so we'll let her rest for now. Next, we'll introduce our second special guest."

The second guest was a web series actress with millions of fans.

When it was time to introduce the third guest, the director made a special announcement. "Our third guest isn't from the entertainment industry, but she's a friend of Ms. Reyes. Today, she'll be teaming up with Ms. Reyes. Please welcome Harper Orsini!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Molly jumped up, her eyes sparkling.

Before anyone could get a good look at Harper, Molly had already rushed over and hugged her tightly.

Everyone was stunned.

Molly's friend was Harper! That was Harper, the business mogul of Majestic City!

Molly didn't care about the others and whispered in Harper's ear, "Harper, why are you here?"

"The show's director called me and said they needed another guest. Since you're here, I decided to come."

The chat was going wild.

The director was all smiles.

If he had known Harper had such a big influence, he would have invited her sooner.
