Mark knew all too well about the bad blood between Jeremy and Harper, which was why he kept Jeremy out of the conversation and just introduced himself as Kaitlyn's brother.

Harper and Kaitlyn got along pretty well.

Harper gave him a slight smile and shot back, "Why would you think I respect you just because of Kaitlyn?"

"Everyone knows why you're back, so let's cut the crap. We've always been enemies, so there's no need to play nice, right?"

Being Jeremy's adopted son, Mark was naturally loyal to him, making both Mark and Jeremy seem dangerous and hypocritical in Harper's eyes.

Mark hadn't expected her to be so blunt, and the smile on his face slowly disappeared.

"Ms. Orsini, if you disrespect me like this, are you trying to let everyone know you have a beef with the Lavien family?"

Harper stayed calm and indifferent. "So what? I'm already completely against the Lavien family. The Lavien Group will suffer, so why should I care?"

She hurried towards the sound and saw Colin and Duke, who should have been in prison, groveling on the ground, clutching Dennis's legs and wailing miserably.

"Dennis, it was my fault. I shouldn't have forced you to do those shady things for money. Please ask your sister to forgive us. We're going crazy."

"Prison is unbearable. We've suffered enough."

"Dennis, look at me. I'm covered in wounds."

"Please save us. After all, I raised you. You can't retaliate against us for this."

Colin knelt on the ground, crying his eyes out.

Standing before them was Dennis, still in his teenage years, who had never witnessed such a spectacle.

Everyone around was watching and discussing them.

Dennis was speechless.

He had received a text message saying Harper was drunk at a party and needed him to pick her up. Without thinking much, he came, only to find it was a trap.

He arrived at this chaos.

He wanted to kick Colin away but was afraid it would cause trouble for Harper.

At that moment, Harper arrived and called out, "Dennis."

Seeing Colin and Duke, she coldly said, "This is Manuel's party. How did these people get in?"

Colin and Duke were stunned.

They were genuinely afraid of Harper.

But Jeremy spoke up slowly, "Is this really appropriate? Tonight's party is hosted by Mr. Bailey. Isn't it a bit rude to kick them out without his say-so?"

"Let's see what Mr. Bailey has to say."

Manuel was sitting nearby, engrossed in a game, seemingly oblivious to the conversation.

"Mr. Bailey!" Mark called again.

Finally, Manuel looked up, clearly annoyed. "Stop bugging me! If they want to kneel and apologize, let them. A proper attitude is needed for atonement."

Manuel's offhand remark silenced everyone.

His assistant scolded Colin and Duke, telling them to kneel properly.

The room fell silent, everyone watching Manuel play his game.

When he finished, his assistant quickly filled him in on the situation.

Manuel responded by pulling a lollipop from his pocket, unwrapping it, and popping it into his mouth.

He looked at Colin and Duke kneeling on the ground.

Manuel asked, "What are you two doing here?"

Colin and Duke didn't dare speak.

"These losers are useless here. Throw them out." Clearly, Manuel was siding with Harper.

Mark spoke gently, "Mr. Bailey, maybe we should hear them out. They look pretty pitiful."

But Manuel ignored him and asked, "Did the Lavien family bring these two losers in?"

"No, I just felt sorry for them, so I brought them in." Mark tried to explain.

Manuel glanced at Jeremy in his wheelchair. "Jeremy's already in a wheelchair. He looks more pitiful. Let him fend for himself." He mocked without mercy.

"How do these losers deserve to be at my party? I don't care what you and Jeremy think, but these two don't belong here."

"Get out, all of you!"

Manuel chewed his lollipop, completely unconcerned about their reputation.

After all, Jeremy and Mark were also a member of the Lavien family. Forcing him out in such a manner brought great disgrace upon them.
