Harper thought Daisy was not the same as Emily. She was just a bit bolder and more determined than the other girls. Honestly, she hadn't hurt anyone.

She didn't use any sneaky tactics, no spiking drinks or anything shady like that. She just shared what she was proud of to get closer to the person she admired.

She was straightforward and honest.

"Is it wrong to develop feelings for someone you admire? She's a talented girl and just wants to give herself a chance without hurting anyone. Unlike some people who trample on others and cause harm, such people don't deserve sympathy."

Alex's eyes darkened. "You should know, I'm doing this for you."

Harper chuckled softly. "You're not doing it for me."

She raised her eyes and looked at him steadily. "If you were really doing it for me, I can tell you clearly, she hasn't hurt me at all. The one who truly hurt me is your lover, Emily."

Her voice grew deeper. "Her identity hurt me, her actions hurt me, her very existence is a source of pain for me."

"If you really cared about me and didn't want to hurt me, you should have understood from the beginning to stay away from her, reject her, and warn her not to come near us. But you didn't do that."

She didn't continue, instead, her gaze shifted elsewhere.

If he had understood this from the start, they wouldn't have ended up where they were today.

It seemed like Emily was the instigator, but the real fault lay with him, and he still didn't get it.

Alex remained silent.

Harper's sarcasm grew more blatant.

"If I had known five years ago that you were this kind of person, I would never have gotten involved with you in any way."

The piano piece ended, and Harper and Kaitlyn left the stage.

"Harper, I knew you could do it. Look at how mesmerized everyone is."

Kaitlyn was excited. "You are perfect."

Harper paused and reminded her, "Thank you. Even though Alex and I are divorced, we'll still be friends."

Kaitlyn sighed dramatically. "My brother must be crazy. He had such a good wife and chose to divorce for that tramp. Stupid man!"

Anyone could see that Harper was a hundred times better than Emily.

"It's not his choice anymore."

Harper smiled confidently. "Even if he gave me the chance, I wouldn't choose him again. We're truly over."

She wasn't one to drag things out.
