Back at her apartment door, Harper noticed Molly had been waiting for her for quite a while.

As soon as she saw Harper, Molly rushed over, her curiosity barely contained. "Harper, are you really with Caden?"

Molly had seen all the buzz online. As Harper's best friend, she was naturally concerned.

To be honest, Molly didn't think much of Caden.

How could a playboy like him be with Harper?

Even if Harper was divorced from Alex, she deserved someone way better, not Caden.

"Yeah, we're together," Harper said calmly.

She opened the door, let Molly in, and then lazily flopped down on the couch.

"What? You said it wouldn't happen," Molly exclaimed.

Harper had assured her before that there'd be no more entanglements with Caden, that they were just business partners.

But now, she was actually with him?

Harper closed her eyes, looking exhausted.

She repeated to Molly what she had told Frank earlier that day.

After listening, Molly was speechless.

What could she say?

Given the current situation, was there anyone more suitable than Caden?

Probably not.

Harper had her reasons, and even as her best friend, Molly couldn't do much to help.

She understood Harper's choice.

As Harper's friend, Molly could only silently wish her well, hoping she hadn't made the wrong decision.

At least Caden might be a dependable husband, unlike Alex.

At the Lavien Mansion.

Holden had spent the day hearing all sorts of news.

It was all about Harper and Caden, various rumors swirling around.

It was nothing more than various rumors about Harper and Caden being together.

Some who knew about her relationship with Alex were saying Harper wasn't a good wife, that she had betrayed the Lavien family and had been involved with Caden for a long time.

Holden just sneered.

"What do you know? It was my grandson who wronged her! My granddaughter-in-law is kind and gentle, not that kind of person."

That was what he believed, and he stood by Harper.

They didn't understand her, but he did.

Over the years, he knew the truth about their marriage. 

He was able to see that Harper and Alex's relationship hadn't been great over the years.

Still, he had always hoped Harper would stay with the Lavien family.

He cared deeply for her and could only accept her as his granddaughter-in-law.

He had heard about Caden from the Elikin family.

People in their circle said he was a notorious playboy.

But some insiders claimed that was just a facade, that he was actually very ambitious and a remarkable person.

Ron sighed, "Mr. Lavien, if you care so much about Ms. Orsini, why not give her a call? I think she values your opinion and would listen to you, perhaps even returning to the Lavien family."

Holden sighed deeply, a hint of sadness in his eyes.

"Return for what? To let Alex hurt her again?"

He knew very well that over the years, it was Alex who had neglected Harper.

If it weren't for that, Harper wouldn't have left the Lavien family so heartbroken.

This was all Alex's doing, and no one could help him.

Harper woke up naturally for the first time in years.

She felt a rare sense of leisure. She remembered she was on vacation now.

During her years at the Lavien Group, she had never taken a break.

As Alex's chief secretary, she worked almost every day of the year.

She lazily turned over, pulled open the curtains, and let the sunlight flood in.

The rain had cleared, and the day was bright and dazzling.

Her phone buzzed.

Harper rubbed her sleepy eyes, picked up her phone from the table, and saw a message from Caden.

[Meet me at 2 PM. We're going on a date.]

She couldn't help but smile.

He sure knew how to find an excuse. Was the CEO of the Elikin Group really this free?

She glanced at the time; it was already past ten.

She got up, washed, ate, and then browsed her phone for a while, looking at information about the upcoming global financial summit.

Harper was preparing to represent HoloSphere Technologies at the event in a few days.

Before she knew it, it was already two o'clock.

Just then, another message from Caden arrived.

He was downstairs, ready for her to come down.

Harper didn't reply. She got up, changed her clothes, and went downstairs.

Caden's flashy sports car was parked there.

He wore large sunglasses, a smile playing on his lips.

"Harper, you look stunning today," he said, his voice warm like the sunshine.

Harper ignored him and got into the car.

She was wearing a mustard yellow dress that made her skin look even more radiant.

"Don't we look like a couple?" he asked.

Coincidentally, he was wearing a beige custom suit that matched her dress, making them look like they were in matching outfits.

"Aren't we leaving? If we're going to the Moon Lake Resort ribbon-cutting, it's about time," Harper said, turning her head to look out the window.

Caden's smile grew even brighter.

"Harper, you're amazing. How did you know we were going to Moon Lake Resort? I knew you understood me; we're so alike."

At three in the afternoon, the Moon Lake Resort was officially opening, and they had invited the elites of Majestic City. 

Harper had seen the project announcement earlier and noticed that both Alex from the Lavien Group and Caden from the Elikin Group were listed as special guests.

So she knew it wasn't a date but an event.

The drive from her apartment to Moon Lake Resort was about forty minutes, so she knew it was time to leave. 

Caden started the car and sped off.

"What should I do, Harper? You're so smart; we're a perfect match," he teased.

"How should I introduce you? As my future wife?"

"Caden, focus on driving," Harper said calmly.

Yes, ma'am. I'll do as you say; nothing will go wrong," he replied with a smile before turning on the car's stereo, which began to play soft, flowing music. It was a love song.

He hummed along, occasionally glancing at Harper, as if every word was meant for her, expressing his deep affection. Caden was indeed a master of romance, always showing his love.

"Caden, how many women have you won over with these tactics?" Harper suddenly asked.

Caden turned down the volume, his expression serious. "Do you want the truth?"

Harper nodded slightly, still not looking at him.

"You're the first," he said earnestly.

Harper couldn't help but chuckle.
