No Wife, No Life Chapter 313
Molly lowered her gaze, instinctively covering her stomach.
Xavia laughed loudly, "You're heartbroken, aren't you? You finally see the truth! I told you he didn't like you, but you insisted on clinging to him. You deserve this!"
Molly clutched her chest. Suddenly, she lifted her head, her eyes filled with coldness.
Moments later, she began to laugh, stood up, and walked over to Xavia, grabbing her long hair. "If it were anyone else, they might have been swayed by your words. But you misjudged me; I'm not that kind of person."
She sneered, "Half of Arthur's shares, cash, and properties are in my name. Do you really think Arthur would dare do anything to betray me under these circumstances?"
Xavia was stunned.
"Even if he suspected this would come to light one day, he gave me enough security. The money is in my hands. What do I have to fear? If he dares to hurt me, I'll divorce him, and he'll get nothing."
Molly glanced at the documents Xavia had brought, her face full of disdain. "So, your plan failed again."
She threw the documents in Xavia's face and casually said, "Get this lunatic out of here."
Without looking at the door, she seemed to sense who was outside.
The door opened, and in walked Arthur and Edwin.
Arthur felt guilty because of Xavia's words, while Edwin was worried, fearing she might do something crazy.
Molly tilted her chin up and walked over to Arthur.
Xavia, still full of spite, shouted, "Arthur, tell her! You married her for me! You promised me a healthy body!"
Arthur's eyes were cold. "Forget about that. I won't hurt Molly, and I won't allow anyone else to hurt her."
"You promised me! You promised!" Xavia clutched her chest, feeling like it was about to explode. Suddenly, she collapsed to the floor, her face contorted in pain.
Edwin shouted, "Haven't you caused enough trouble?"
"He promised me! Molly's heart and kidneys are mine, mine! Haha, they're all mine." Despite her pain, she still demanded Molly's life.
Molly's voice was cold and hard. "Mr. Edwin Davis, Xavia has committed so many crimes. If she were sentenced, it would be at least five years. Considering she has mental issues, why not send her to a psychiatric hospital?"
Molly's eyes were devoid of any emotion. She looked down at Xavia, who was writhing on the floor like a worm. "Lock her up in a psychiatric hospital and never let her out. That way, she can't hurt anyone else. What do you think, Mr. Edwin Davis?"
Xavia clutched her chest, laughing maniacally.
Arthur's expression was icy. "Ms. Reyes, isn't this a bit much?"
Even though he had little affection for Xavia, she had once been his fiancée.
Molly spoke coldly, "Can't you see she's lost her mind? If you can't bear to send her to a psychiatric hospital, I'll have her locked up in prison for life."
Edwin looked at Xavia again and sighed deeply after a long pause. "I understand. I'll have Xavia locked up and she won't bother you anymore."
Edwin had Xavia taken away.
She seemed truly insane, her hands constantly mimicking the motion of digging out a heart. As she was led away, she kept shouting, "Molly's heart is mine! Dig out her heart!"
Hearing these cruel and bloody words, Edwin didn't hesitate. He decisively contacted the psychiatric hospital and arranged for her to be admitted immediately.
Only Molly and Arthur remained in the room.
The silence in the room was almost suffocating.
"Molly!" Arthur called her name when Molly took a few steps back.
"Don't say anything!" Molly cut him off. She lowered her head and flipped through the documents Xavia had brought, laughing bitterly as she read, as if mocking herself.
Molly's voice echoed in the quiet room, trembling with pain she couldn't hide. Her eyes were filled with disappointment and sorrow, as if she had just experienced an emotional earthquake.
"When you took in eighteen-year-old me, was it because I looked like her? So I became her substitute. In your eyes, I was never truly myself, just a shadow, a stand-in to fill the void in your heart."
Her fingers clenched into fists, her nails digging into her palms, but she felt no pain.
"Not only was I a substitute, but because my blood type matched hers, you treated me like a blood bank you could use at any time?"
Each word she spoke felt like she was pulling a cold, heavy stone from the depths of her heart.
"Arthur, did you ever see me as a person? Or was I just a tool, a pet, something you could manipulate and use at will?"
Her voice began to choke, tears blurring her vision, but she fought to keep them from falling, as if shedding them would mean she had lost.
That was her final act of defiance.
"You say you love me, but your love is filthy and ugly! This isn't love; it's exploitation and control!"
Each word was hurled at him with all her strength.
"Molly, listen to me." Arthur tried to speak, but Molly didn't want to hear it. Her emotions had reached their peak, and any explanation sounded like an excuse to her.
"Stop! I don't want to hear your lies anymore! All these years, I thought I had found someone to rely on, but it was just wishful thinking. Tell me, in your eyes, what am I? A replaceable part?"
Her words were filled with despair and helplessness. Her hopes for the future and her trust in love had vanished.
Molly felt her world collapse in an instant. The times they had shared, the sweet memories, now seemed so ironic.
She felt like a fallen leaf, tossed about by the merciless wind, left to face the desolation alone.
"Your so-called love showed me the truth and made me realize how foolish I was. Maybe I was wrong from the start. Wrong to trust someone I shouldn't have, wrong to give my heart to someone unworthy."
Molly's tears finally spilled over, sliding down her cheeks and falling to the floor, each drop a testament to her inner pain.
She choked up, "I knew you were ruthless, but I still had hope that you at least liked me. But I was wrong. Not only did you see me as a substitute, you even wanted my life!"
