The agent was from Radiant Pulse Entertainment Inc.

Ever since Molly announced she was ending her contract with the Davis Group, agents from various companies had been reaching out to her privately.

Even though her reputation in the entertainment industry wasn't stellar at the moment, as they say, any publicity is good publicity. Many companies wanted to leverage her current fame to boost her career.

Plus, everyone knew she was once Arthur's wife, and it never hurt to be on her good side.

Molly rubbed her temples before answering the call.

"Nora, didn't I tell you? I'll call you back once I've made up my mind. Why do you keep calling me?"

After leaving Arthur, they had agreed to finalize their divorce in three days. But when she arrived at the courthouse, Arthur was nowhere to be seen.

Arthur had bailed, and there was no way she could force him to sign the divorce papers.

Since then, she had been living in the villa Harper arranged for her, drowning her sorrows in alcohol. Maybe only by numbing her mind with booze could she feel a bit of relief, so she had been putting off all work-related matters.

After all, she needed to clear her mind before making any decisions.

Nora's laughter came through the phone.

"Molly, I know you're still thinking it over, but we just got a call from Mr. Roberts. He said if you join Radiant Pulse Entertainment Inc., he would invest in the company and make you a top-tier star."

"Molly, you know what kind of person Mr. Roberts is. With his support, your future will be limitless!"

Gerald Roberts?

Molly remembered.

She and Arthur had attended a party once, and Gerald was the host.

She hadn't expected Gerald to remember her, let alone want to invest in Radiant Pulse Entertainment Inc. for her sake. They didn't have much interaction, after all.

Molly couldn't figure it out and didn't want to dwell on it.

She simply said, "Nora, thanks for letting me know. I'll think it over carefully."

As soon as Molly hung up, Harper woke up.

She groggily crawled behind Molly, resting her chin weakly on Molly's shoulder, her eyes still clouded with sleep.

"Molly, who was on the phone?"

Molly smiled. "It was an agent from an entertainment company. They want me to join them. Harper, if I start over, will you support me?"

Hearing Molly's serious tone, Harper rubbed her eyes, finally waking up. 

She then smiled gently and held Molly's hand tightly. "Molly, no matter what decision you make, I'll support you. As your friend, I just want you to be safe."

They exchanged a smile, understanding each other without words.

That morning, Harper stayed with Molly for breakfast before heading to FusionX Company.

Caden was still undergoing physical therapy, so he hadn't been to the company much lately. Harper had been handling the company's affairs alone.

The collaboration between FusionX Company and the Wright Group had been finalized, and now they just needed to hold the signing ceremony.

Since this was a government-facilitated partnership, the signing ceremony would serve as a public announcement of the two companies' intentions.

After half an hour of discussion, the signing ceremony was scheduled for three days later.

Harper immediately had someone notify the Wright Group. Just then, an unexpected visitor arrived at the office.

It was Alex, whom she hadn't seen in a long time.

Alex stood at the office door, looking much more worn than before. His demeanor was no longer arrogant; instead, he seemed somewhat uneasy.

Harper glanced at him indifferently, not intending to let him in. "Mr. Lavien, what brings you here?"

Alex's lips tightened, feeling uncomfortable.

Harper's eyes used to be filled with affection when she looked at him, but now they were cold and distant.

Thinking about how her gentleness was now directed at another man, Alex couldn't help but feel jealous and resentful.

Harper should have been his.

Alex lowered his gaze, suppressing his emotions, and walked into the office, sitting across from Harper.

Harper didn't even lift her eyelids. "That's not your seat, Mr. Lavien. Please respect yourself."

Alex's body stiffened for a moment.

He hadn't expected Harper to despise him so much that she wouldn't even let him sit in her office.

Alex slowly clenched his fists, remaining silent for a few seconds before speaking, "I'm here to discuss a project collaboration."

Upon hearing this, Harper put down her pen and laughed.

She leaned back, crossing her legs, exuding confidence and composure.

"The Lavien Group, FusionX Company, and HoloSphere Technologies have always been rivals. When did we start collaborating? Mr. Lavien, did you drink too much last night and lose your mind?"

If the people at the Lavien Group knew Alex had come to her for collaboration, they'd be shocked.

She didn't know Alex's true intentions, but it was definitely not just about collaboration.

Alex crossed his hands on the table, looking at Harper with deep affection. "I've received internal information that you'll be collaborating with Chloe to develop a robotics project. The potential profits from this project are enormous, which is why I'm here to discuss collaboration. Harper, I'm serious."

But Harper found his words laughable. "Alex, whether you're serious or not has nothing to do with me. FusionX Company and HoloSphere Technologies will never collaborate with the Lavien Group. That's my bottom line. So please leave, or I'll call security."

Rejected, Alex's face fell.

But he felt unwilling to give up and spoke again, "Harper, even if you hate me, you shouldn't let emotions affect business. You should understand that if the three companies collaborate, it would be a significant advancement for the domestic business scene."

But Harper didn't want to listen. She waved her hand dismissively. "That's your opinion. In my mind, the Lavien Group is unworthy of any collaboration. Alex, I've said my piece. Don't humiliate yourself further."

Humiliate himself? Alex's throat tightened, his eyes flashing with embarrassment.

Harper used to adore him, but now she despised him the most.

He still couldn't accept it.

In the end, Alex said nothing more and left.

Harper watched his retreating figure, her eyes filled with mockery.

She never expected Alex to humble himself to discuss collaboration.

Even if Alex truly regretted it, what difference did it make?

The harm Alex had caused her was real and could never be erased.
