Rose's POV

"You want to go to the mall or something," Kate asked me.

"Yeah, Jason will drop us off," I told her.

"Your brother is supposed to take me out to eat at seven. It's already 5:30,"

"That's great! You two are perfect for each other,"

We were still sitting outside the school, waiting for Jason. He texted me he was on his way.

James was outside with Nathan, planning on hanging out tonight.

"Hey, beautiful," I automatically knew who it was. I turned around and couldn't help but stare into his beautiful, blue eyes.

"Well, hello to you too, brother," Kate said dramatically.

"Sorry, sis, I can't think of anyone else when I'm around the most beautiful woman in the world," He said, staring into My eyes.

"You don't have to apologize, bro; I understand."

I couldn't help the blush that crept on my face.

Derek leaned down and touched my cheek, making me feel the sparks I only get from his touch.

"So beautiful," he said.

We both stared at each other, lost in the moment, until we heard someone clear their throat.

"Hey, sis, you ready to go?" My brother asked, making me look away from Derek.

"She will ride with me if that's alright with you. I believe I am supposed to take you to dinner. I thought we could do it earlier than planned, get to know each other."

"I looked over to Jason, surprised he didn't tell him off for asking me out. But he just stood there waiting for my reply.

"Is that ok," I asked, looking at Jason. He surprised me by nodding his head.

"Sure, I'd like that," I told Derek, and his smile only brightened.

We walked to his BMW, and he opened the passenger door for me to get in. I thanked him and sat down, putting my seat belt on.

"Where are we going?"

"It's a surprise," he said and started driving.

We drove in comfortable silence. Then, about twenty minutes later, we went to the woods, like my mom did the day we moved here.

He drove for about ten more minutes and parked the car. We got out, and he came over to me. He took my hand and started leading me somewhere.

"You're not going to kill me, are you," I joked.

" Why would I kill my heart," he asked.

I looked at him but didn't say anything. Then, after walking for about ten minutes, I saw a lake. It was gorgeous. We sat down on an old bench that was facing the water.

"It's beautiful here," I said

"Yeah, the most beautiful," he said and placed his hand on mine. I knew he was talking about me. I couldn't help the blush that crept up on my cheeks. He always makes me blush.

"I wanted to talk to you about something important," he said.

I looked up at him, showing him he had my attention.

"This may sound strange, but I already feel strongly for you. I want to know how you would feel about being mine?"

I looked up at him, trying to understand what he was saying.

"Like, be your girlfriend?"

"I guess that would work for now."

"But you are a player," I said

"Was until I met you."

"You just met me a few days ago,"

"I know, and I am sorry about the way we met. You have no idea how long I have been waiting for you. I lost all hopes of finding you a long time ago. If I knew you existed, I," he stopped what he was saying.

I just stared at him, shocked and confused by his outburst. It made me feel warm inside.

"Look, I know this may be confusing, but I want you. I need you, and I know you can feel the connection we share." He said, and I nodded.

I did feel something strong for him. Something I never felt for anyone.

"Will you give me a chance and be mine?" He asked again.

I knew I wanted to say yes, but I was worried he would cheat on me.

"I like you a lot and want to be with you. I don't trust that you won't mess around with other girls. That's one thing about me, Derek; I am not the type who shares. If I'm yours, then you are mine too. If you truly want me, you can't cheat on me. I won't tolerate it," I said confidently.

"I don't want anyone but you," He said and leaned down and kissed me passionately. Sparks flew all through my body.

He picked me up and placed me on his lap, and I was straddling him.

He went from my lips and started kissing my neck, making me moan from the pleasure he was giving me.

I started moving my hips on him, unable to stop myself. I began feeling like I needed more from him. I placed my fingers in his hair and gripped it to pull him closer to me. He stopped kissing my neck and looked me in the eye.

"You have no idea how happy you just made me. We should stop, or I will take you here. I don't think you want your first time to be in the woods," he said.

He then got up and placed his hand out for me. I took it and let him help me to my feet.

"Let's go eat, baby," he said, and we walked back to his car hand in hand, sparks flying everywhere.

Derek's POV

"What would you like to eat, Flower?" I asked.

I took her to a Mexican restaurant. Aunt Lil told me she loves Mexican food. I was so happy that her mother and Jason approved of us being together. Well, her mother was the one ok with it.

She had to help me convince Jason that I wouldn't hurt her. My parents also helped him understand that we both needed each other. We are the other half of each other's souls. Now that we have met, we can't be apart from each other for an extended period.

In the end, he gave his consent, and I was relieved. I would have still made her mine and didn't care if Jason liked it or not.

I knew she cared about his opinion and blessing, so I talked to him for her.

"I think I will take a steak bowl with chips and queso," she said, smiling at me.

"That sounds good. I will take the same thing. I told her.

We ate our food and talked. She told me about herself and her old friends. She told me she loves to sing and dance.

She made me happy when she said she would sing for me one day. Then, I told her about my taking over the family business. She seemed impressed with that, which made me happy.

After we ate, we headed back to the packhouse.

Once we arrived at the packhouse, I hurried over to open her door and took her hand to help her out.

" I need to go talk to my mom. I had a great time, thanks." She said

"Me too, but I don't want the night to end. Meet me by the pool after you talk to your mom." I replied

She smiled at me and told me ok. I went to my room, changed into something more comfortable, and then made my way to the pool.

"Hey Derek," I turned around and saw Vivian smiling.

"Hi, Vivian! How have you been" I asked, trying not to be rude.

" I came back for you, baby," She said, and before I could reply, she smashed her lips to mine.
