Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 93

Derek's POV

What the hell is this place?" Jason asked

"Norvok," Joyce said

I have never seen anything like it before. It looked just like our Realm except for all the destruction. Everything was identical to our Realm in the Dark Realm that we had teleported to the first time Rose was Kidnapped. But this one was different.

There was not a Packhouse where we teleported to. Just a dry forest where all the trees and grass were dead. There were composed bodies right by where I stood. Nobody even bothered to bury the bodies.

I looked up into the sky and saw dragons flying past. In our Realm, dragons were hidden but not here.

"All of you need to put this over your clothes," Joyce said, handing everyone a black cloak, and we all put them on.

"Come on, we need to find Rose," Joyce said, and we all followed her

"Do you know where she is?" I asked

"I am going to use my blood again to find my sister. That way, we will find Rose," Joyce said

Joyce pricked her finger and placed it in a bottle where she had a yellow liquid. Then, she started speaking in a language I didn't know, casting her spell.

"We need to go this way," She said after she was done, and we followed after her.

We walked past a lot of houses that were unlivable. Most of them were burned down and wrecked cars with broken windows and missing tires.

We went past a group of witches that walked past us wearing black cloaks. They looked at us for a moment and then walked past us.

"How much farther?" I asked about getting inpatient

"We will be there shortly," Joyce said

We had been walking for about twenty minutes, and I was getting irritated. But before I could ask how much longer, Joyce stopped walking.

"This is where they are," Joyce said

I looked up and saw a big, secure castle behind a big fence. Unlike everything else that I have seen here, the castle was beautiful. There was live grass and trees around it.

"How are we going to get in there?" Aunt Lil asked

"We need to get past those guards," Joyce said

"How are we going to do that?" I asked

"I am going to put them to sleep, and then Derek, Mark, and Jason will go get Rose. Lilly and I will stay out here to make sure they stay asleep, and no one else finds them," Joyce said

"Where do we go when we get in there," I asked

"I don't know, but since you are her mate, you should be able to track her easily," Joyce said

"Once they fall asleep, the three of you need to hurry and get inside," Joyce said and turned toward the guards.

Joyce did something with her hands, and the gate opened automatically. She looked toward the guards, said some words, and soon the guards fell to the ground and were unconscious.

"Go," Joyce said, and Mark, Jason, and I ran towards the mansion.

There were no guards at the front door, so we just walked inside.

Where do you think she is?" Mark asked

I sniffed the air to see if I could smell her scent, and lucky I could smell her.

"Follow me," I said, and we began walking.

Her scent became stronger once we got by some stairs.

"She has to be upstairs somewhere," I said, and we began walking up the stairs.

I was surprised that we hadn't run into anyone while in the massive mansion. Her scent became stronger once we reached the third floor. I knew she had to be on that floor.

"Her scent is stronger here," I said and began walking on that floor.

"She must be on this floor because I can smell her now," Jason said

"Me too," Mark said

"Someone is coming," Jason said, and I heard footsteps.

"Oh shit," Mark said

I looked around, and the only hiding place was inside one of the rooms. So I opened a door and peeked in. Luckily no one was in the room.

"Come on," I said, and we all went into the room to hide.

We heard laughter as they passed us.

"Do you think they are gone?" Mark asked

"Only one way to find out," I said and looked both ways, and luckily nobody was there.

"They are gone," I said, and we left the room.

Finally, we reached a room where Rose's scent was.

"She must be in here," Jason said

"Yeah, her scent is strong," Mark replied

I opened the door, but Rose was not there.

"Where is she? She should be here," Jason said

"I know. It makes no sense she is not here. Her scent is too strong," Mark said

I couldn't help but let out a growl. I wanted to kill someone. I didn't understand how she wasn't there either. How could her scent be so strong unless? Then it came to me. Cheryl knew that Joyce was going to track her with her blood. She knew that we would think that Rose was with her. This was a trap they wanted to trick us into, and we fell for it.

I could hear a beeping noise that started getting louder. I looked over to where the sound was coming from and saw a bomb.

"This is a trap we have to go," I screamed.

"What wrong?" Mark said, and Jason looked over at where I was looking and noticed the bomb. We had five seconds to get out of there before the bomb exploded.

We all began running, but the bomb went off before we made it out.
