Ebony's POV

"Ebony, are you okay? You seem to be deep in thought, Love," Keith asked. We were walking around outside of the Palace. After Alice walked off upset about Jacob, saying that he wasn't going to punish my mother, I had to get out of there.

"I am okay, just thinking about everything," I said

"You were thinking about what happened between your father and his Mate, weren't you?" Keith asked, and I nodded

"I can't help but think I am the cause of their fighting. If Jacob didn't get with my mom and get her pregnant with me, then none of this would have happened. They wouldn't be arguing," I said 

"If your mom didn't get with King Jacob, then you wouldn't be here, Love. I don't like you talking like that, and how is it your fault? You are innocent in all of this. You are not the cause for them fighting if they are even fighting. She is just upset, and they will be fine," Keith said 

"She is upset because I asked Jacob not to hurt my mom. I think Alice wants him to do something bad to my mom, and I don't want that to happen. I know my mom hasn't treated me right, but she is still my mom. I don't want her to get hurt," I said

"I know, Love. It is normal not to want anything to happen to your parents. You shouldn't feel bad about that, okay?" Keith said and wrapped his arms around me.

"Okay," I said and inhaled his scent, letting it relax me.

"Princess, Ebony, your father would like to have a word with you?" one of the guards said

"Okay," I said, and Keith and I followed the guard back to Jacob's office. Jacob and Alice were inside, sitting beside each other like earlier. Alice had a smile on her face making me happy that she didn't look upset anymore.

"Hello, Ebony and Keith. Please have a seat," Jacob said, and Keith and I sat across from them.

"I would like to apologize for my outburst earlier. I hope that I didn't make you feel uncomfortable, Ebony," Alice said 

"It is fine. I understand that this whole situation could be upsetting to you," I said

"I want you to know that I am not upset with you. I just don't like that your mother is going to get away with what she did, but I understand that she is your mother. I really hope I didn't make you uncomfortable," Alice said

'Thank you, and no, you didn't make me uncomfortable," I said

"I am happy that it is settled and everyone is fine. I called you here because I wanted to see if you are okay with being introduced to the Royal Pack as my daughter. We don't have to introduce you as the future ruler of the Pack yet since that won't happen until you are twenty-one. Now that everyone knows that you have been found alive and safe, a lot of the Pack Members would like to meet you. They have seen you around and suspect you are my daughter, but nothing has been confirmed. It is up to you," Jacob said

"I guess that will be okay," I said 

"Great, I will plan everything for this Saturday. That way, everyone is able to attend. Of course, I will need your help to make this perfect for you. Alissa will be happy to help us as well. We will also be introducing Keith as your Mate if that is fine with you, Keith?" Alice said excitedly. I have noticed that Alice's mood changes quickly in a short time frame. 

"Of course," Keith said

"Great, I also want to start training you. Have you ever trained before as your wolf? I know you don't shift a lot," Jacob asked.

"Not really," I said

"We were going to start training her at Silver Moon but haven't had the chance with everything that has been going on," Keith said

"Well, we can start her physical and magical training here. Keith, you can help her with the physical training, and I will help her with figuring out her special abilities. I think it would be good to start tomorrow because we have a lot of time to make up for if that is okay with the two of you?" Jacob said

"Yes, tomorrow sounds good to me," I said

"Great," Jacob said, and we got up to leave the office.

"Ebony," Jacob said, and I stopped and looked at him

"Yes," I asked

"You need to get plenty of sleep. Training begins before dawn," Jacob said, and I smiled before walking out of the door.

What have I gotten myself into?
