Ebony's POV

"Come in," Keith's dad said after he knocked on his father's door. "I didn't think we were going to see you two today. Come in," 

"Sorry, we were late. We were busy," Keith said as we sat across from Edward and Nancy.

"Don't worry, son. Your mother and I remember what it was like being newly fully Mated. How are you feeling about being Alpha and Luna? Is there anything you want to talk about?" Edward asked

"No. We have talked about everything already," Keith said 

"What about you, Ebony? Is there anything you would like to discuss," Nancy asked?

"No. I believe we have discussed everything as well," I said 

"Okay, if you don't have any questions, I believe you two are ready to take over your duties without our help. We have decided to leave tomorrow morning for our vacation. It has been a long time since we could leave without having to worry about the Pack. Do the both of you feel you will be fine with the both of us gone?" Edward asked

"Yes, I believe we will be fine," Keith said 

"Ebony," 

"Yes, we will be okay," I said. But I was still a little bit nervous about being Luna. I knew what I was supposed to do, and Nancy had been saying that I was a natural, but I was still nervous. I kept thinking of my mom and how she always said I was worthless. I knew I shouldn't be thinking about her, but it was hard not to.

Keith and I headed to the fighting field after speaking to his parents. When we arrived, the warriors were in the middle of training. 

"Hello, Alpha and Luna. How are you doing today?" one of the Pack Warriors asked.

"We are doing well, and how are you, Jesse? Keith asked

"I am doing good," he replied

"Great, now let's get to training," Keith said

"Of course, Alpha," Jesse said, and he went back to training. Keith started training with the Warriors, and I watched. They were training in wolf form, so Keith and I felt it was best if I didn't train since no one could see my White wolf. I hated having to hide my wolf from everyone and wished I could run free whenever I wanted, but I knew it was too risky.

"Shut up, Mariah, before she here's you," one of the female Pack Warriors said 

"I don't give a fuck if she hears me. She is not my Luna. I don't care if she beat Ashlee in a challenge. She would never be able to beat me. She is weak and always will be," Mariah said 

I turned to look at her to see that she was already looking at me. "Do you have a problem with me, Mariah?" I asked

"Yes, I do. You are not fit to be Luna," Mariah said. All the female Warriors were crowding us and listening to our conversation. 

"Really," I asked

"Yes, really," Mariah replied

"And who do you think should be Luna of this Pack?" I asked

"Me. I should be the Luna of this Pack. I am the strongest female warrior here and can protect our Pack with Keith," Mariah said 

"If you felt that way, then why didn't you challenge me at the Luna Ceremony like Ashlee did?" I asked

"I Didn't show up to that bullshit Ceremony. I heard from someone else that you beat her in the challenge," Mariah replied.

"So you believe you can beat me?" I asked, and she let out a laugh

"I know I can beat you," She replied

"Then prove it. Challenge me right now," I said 

"Fine. I, Mariah Scott, challenge you for the Luna position," She said 

"I accept," I replied

We got into the ring, and all the women crowded around us. 

"What is going on here?" Keith asked as he walked over to us, but I didn't say anything. I could see one of the female warriors walk over to Keith and tell him what was going on. "What? No, Ebony, you are not fighting her. I already told everyone in the Pack that there would be no challenging you for Luna. Besides, you are Luna now, and if she wanted to challenge you, she should have done it at the ceremony as Ashlee did," Keith said 

"She wasn't there," I said as I stood on the opposite side of Mariah in the fighting ring,

"Ebony," Keith said 

"Keith, I have to do this. I am tired of everyone trying to call me weak. They need to learn to respect me, and if I don't do this, they won't," I said 

"Fine, but this isn't until the death, and you are already my Luna, and that will never change no matter what, " Keith said, glaring at Mariah.

"Okay," I said 

"You can back out if you want," Mariah said 

"Not going to happen," I replied, and Mariah ran at me, but I blocked her attack, which caused her to fall to the ground. She quickly recovered and ran at me again, but I dodged her attack again. 

"Stop playing around and fight me," she growled. She came at me again, and I tried to block her, but she got ahold of my leg which caused me to fall to the ground. She quickly got on top of me and hit me in the face. I became so upset that I lifted my felt energy going through my body like when those men attacked me after my mom set me up. Mariah flew out of the ring and onto the ground, causing everyone to gasp.

Two of the female fighter went over to her to see if she was alright. "Ebony did this. I don't know how but she made me fly out of the ring," Mariah said, and everyone looked at me.

I could hear whispers all around and knew that everyone was whispering about me.
