Werewolf
Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 236
Ebony's POV
"Look who decided to stop by," Keith said as he walked into the dining room with my Grandparents and Jacob.
"I am so happy to see you," I said.
"We just wanted to stop by and say hi before we move into the house," Grandpa Bill said as he hugged me.
"Are you sure you don't want to move into the Packhouse?" Keith asked.
"No. We would rather have peace and quiet. You know we are old now," Grandma Ann said.
"Okay, but if you change your mind, let one of us know, and we will have a nice room prepared for the two of you," I said.
"We will let you know if we change our mind, Sweetheart," Grandma Ann replied.
"I am going to help them get settled into their new home. They wanted to stop by to say hi before we went to the house," Jacob said.
"Okay, I will stop by later to see how everything is going," I said.
"I called Alissa while I was on my way here, and she said she would be coming to get you soon so the two of you can spend time together. Where are you two going?" Jacob asked
"I convinced her to hang out with Alissa here. There is too much going on right now for them to go without one of us," Keith said.
"I agree. Does Alissa know you are staying in? She was excited to get away for the day," Jacob said, making me feel bad. I didn't want her to be upset if we didn't leave the Packhouse.
"I am sure she will be happy with just spending time with Ebony," Keith said
"You are probably right. I am happy she is comfortable spending time with you. I hope this means she is starting to feel better," Jacob said.
"Why don't you go with them and help them get settled while I hang out with Alissa," I said to Keith.
Keith wrapped his arms around me and pulled my body to his. "Are you trying to get rid of me, My Love?"
"No, but I thought Alissa it would be best if only Alissa and I were here. I don't want to make her feel uncomfortable speaking to me, and she might be if you are here," I replied.
"I think Ebony is right. It would be better if they were along to talk," Jacob said.
"Yeah, and it would give us a chance to get to know our Granddaughters, Mate," Grandma Ann said.
"Okay, I will meet you all there," Keith said, and my Grandparents and Jacob left.
"I want you to promise me that you will stay here. I don't want you going out of the Packhouse."
"I already told you that I would stay here. I understand why you are worried, so I will stay here," I replied
"Thank you, My Love," Keith said and kissed me softly on the lips. Then, there was a knock at the door. "That must be Alissa," I said and went to open the door.
"Hey, Alissa. Come in," I said
"Hey," She said and walked into the room. "So I thought we could hang out at the Lake. It is a beautiful day outside, and I found a quiet spot where no one really goes," Alissa said.
"Ebony won't be going anywhere today outside of the Packhouse," Keith said as he walked over to me.
"But I thought we were going to hang out with each other?" Alissa said.
"We can hang out here."
"I guess," Alissa said. I could tell she wasn't happy to hear we were going to stay inside. I felt terrible because she seemed happy to go to the Lake.
"I will be home in a few hours. I will come and pick you up later and take you to see your Grandparents later," Keith said.
"Okay, I love you," I said as he hugged me close to him.
"I love you too," Keith said, kissing me before leaving the room.
"This is so boring. I thought we were going to leave the Packhouse," Alissa said. We had been sitting in the family room watching movies.
"I know, but Keith is worried that something might happen if I leave without him," I said.
"You mean he is worried my mom will try to hurt you again?"
"Yes, and others that might want to harm me because I am going to be Queen soon," I said
"It seems like everyone was happy that you were going to become Queen. Everyone feels you would do a better job than me, even dad. I thought you didn't want to become Queen. What changed your mind?" Alissa asked.
"I never said I didn't want to become Queen. I was wondering if it was what I wanted to do. Now that I am finally in the process of being Queen, I am starting to feel this is what I was meant to do. I love the fact that I can make a difference for all the werewolves. I love that I can help Members who need it."
"You don't feel like not being raised as a Royal will make you a horrible Queen?"
"Do you think my not being raised as a Royal will make me a horrible Queen?" I asked her, and she became quiet for a moment.
"I don't know if it will make you a horrible Queen, but I know I was trained to become Queen for years. It doesn't seem fair that everyone believes you will be a better Queen than me just because you were the firstborn. I have worked my ass off to prove to my mom and dad that I wasn't worthless," Alissa said
"Did they ever call you worthless?"
"No. But I could tell dad didn't believe I would make a good Queen. He always hoped that you would come back. I wanted you to come back too, but I don't know if that was the best decision because now dad doesn't even notice me anymore, and my mom is on the run. I have no one," Alissa said
"That's not true," I said.
"Whatever. I will go back to my room. I don't feel like hanging out with you anymore, Queen Ebony."
"Alissa," I called as she walked out of the room.
