Werewolf
Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 66
Landon's POV
"I was able to place hidden cameras into my father's room. Were you able to place some in Vivians?" Jace asked as we walked outside the Pack House
"Yeah, Vivian is starting to ask questions. Wonder why she has to be guarded all day, every day. I told her that she was kidnapped and we are trying to protect her, but I think she knows something is up," I said
"Yeah, my father is asking questions as well. I think they know we are on to them," Jace said
"I know. I don't want anything to happen to your sister. I hope we can get Derek not to punish her severely. I know she was wrong, but she is my mate, and I believe your father is to blame for all of this." I said
" I think the same, but she can't just get away with trying to get the future Luna kidnapped. She is my sister, and I hope we can find the proof we need to show that she was forced someway" Jace said
"How has your father been acting lately?"
"He was happy until he found out that Rose was safe. His whole attitude changed when Rose showed up on the fighting field with Derek today,"
We walked to where some Pack Warriors were sitting with Vivian. She looked up at me, and I could see a smile on her lips for a moment until she hid it. I couldn't help the frown that made its way to my face from her action. I didn't understand how she could fight the mate bond so easily.
"Hey, sis," Jace said as he sat beside her.
"Hi, when am I going to be able to go somewhere on my own?" She asked
"When we know that it is safe," Jace said
"So, has Rose told you anything about her kidnapping?" She asked
I could see she was worried that she did.
"No, she still doesn't remember anything," Jace lied, and I could see Vivian's body calm.
She was drinking a brown substance out of a water bottle.
"What are you drinking?" I asked her
"My father's tea," She said
"Can I have some?" Jace asked
"Sure, but it's not that good," She said
"Then you won't mind if I drink it all," He said and ran away with the water bottle.
"Don't tell dad," She yelled after him.
"I won't," He yelled back.
"I am going to take this to Sally and see if she finds something strange in it," Jace mind-linked me.
"Okay, let me know when she finds something," I mind-linked back.
I looked at Vivian, and she was already staring at me. She looked away from me when she noticed I caught her staring. Her cheeks turned a shade of pink.
I smiled and touched her cheek, causing her to look at me, shocked.
"I never thought I would see the day I make you blush, but it is one of the most beautiful things in the world," I said
She looked up at me, and I could tell she didn't know what to say. She seemed confused, like she didn't know what she should do.
"I know you feel what I feel when we touch Vivian. Why are you fighting this?" I asked
"I don't know what you are talking about," She said
"I think you do," I said, and before she could respond, I kissed her.
Sparks flew all over my body. Besides the one time I kissed her two years ago, I had never felt anything like it.
She hesitated for a moment and then started kissing me back passionately. I could feel all the want and need in her kiss. It was like she was losing the fight of trying to deny our bond and was finally giving in. I smiled at the thought of her accepting us being together, accepting being my mate. It made me feel so complete.
"Vivian, what is this," I heard a deep voice say, causing her to move away from me.
"Dad," she said
"What is the meaning of this, Vivian? You know better," Jacob said as he walked over to where we were.
"I am sorry, daddy. It won't happen again," Vivian said, causing my heart to break.
"Your damn right; it won't happen again. I need to talk to Derek and change your guard.
"No, you won't, and why are you talking to her like she is doing something wrong?" I asked
"I don't have to answer to you, Landon," He said
"If it has something to do with my mate, then you do have to answer to me," I said
"She is not your mate," Jacob said
"Yes, she is," I growled
"She is not your mate; she is Derek's mate," He growled back
"We both know that isn't true," I said with a laugh
"Come on, Vivian," Jacob said and tried to grab her hand, but I moved in front of her.
"She isn't going anywhere with you, Jacob,"
"She is my daughter, boy,"
"She is my mate. Maybe if you weren't so determined to mate her with someone else, you would see that" I snapped.
"She is going with me," he said
"No, she's not. Or do you want to talk to Derek? He placed me in charge of guarding her," I said
Jacob looked at me, then at Vivian.
"Don't let him trick you into believing his nonsense," He said and left
I looked at her, and she was looking after her father
"What is he talking about, Vivian," I asked
She looked at me before surprising me.
"You are not my might. I know what you are trying to do, and it won't work. You can't trick me into believing that we are mates. I know the truth," She said and then became quiet.
"What are you talking about, Vivian?" I asked, but she wouldn't answer me
"Landon, Sally found something in the tea, and it's not good. Have some warriors watch Vivian and meet me in Sally's office," Jace mind-linked
"Okay, I will meet you shortly," I said
"I need you two to stay with Vivian," I said to two of the guards. They nodded, and I went to meet Jace to see what was happening.
This needed to be taken care of.
