King Jacob's POV

"How was your day today, Alissa," I asked while we were eating dinner. 

'Just a normal day at school," She said 

" I was thinking that it was time for you to be trained to be the future Queen, Alissa,' Alice said, and Alissa began to frown.

"Are you okay, Alissa?" I asked

"Yes, I am just tired. Can I be excused?" She asked

"No, Alissa. We need to get you ready to take over when you turn twenty-one," Alice scolded.

"We will talk about this later. You can be excused, Sweetheart," I said 

"Thanks, daddy," Alissa said and went to her room.

"Why did you let her go? You know we need to make sure she is ready to become the Werewolf Queen now that we know Ebony doesn't want to be it," Alice said 

"I don't want to talk about this right now, Alice. We have a few years to make that decision," I said

"What do you mean, make that decision? You still don't think Ebony is fit to be Queen do you?"

"It is her birthright, Alice," I said 

"So, you would forgive her for disrespecting me? I am your Mate, Jacob," 

"She is my daughter, Alice. What do you want me to do? Never speak to her again after I just found her,"  I asked.

"I plan on you to put me first. She hit me and told me she didn't want to see us again. She has too much of her mother in her, Jacob. Ebony is not fit to be Queen," Alice said. 

"Let's not talk about this right now," I said. I didn't want to argue with my Mate. She is my Queen, and I love her with all my heart, but I was getting upset with how she talked about Ebony. I felt terrible for how everything ended and worried about her safety. I even had some of my warriors watching her without her knowledge at Silvermoon. I planned on visiting her in a month to try to work all of this out. She is my daughter, and I wanted her to be a part of my life.

After eating dinner, Alice headed to our room, and I went to my office. I had a lot of work that I had to take care of with two neighborhood Packs that were fighting over land. I was about to call one of the Packs when someone knocked on my office door.

"Come in," I said, and one of my Pack warriors came inside.

"Good Evening, my KIng. I have urgent news about Princess Ebony," 

"Did something happen?" I asked worriedly

"Yes, the Princess was almost kidnapped. The soon-to-be Silvermoon Alpha's guards got to her just before the Rogue could escape. They took him to a cell immediately after catching him," 

"How did a Rogue get close to her? Where were are men?" I growled

"They have been staying out of sight and didn't see what happened because they were across the street. She was with a friend eating when it happened," I was pissed to hear this. I don't know what I would have done if the Rogue had succeeded in his attempt to kidnap Ebony. 

"Do our warriors know anything about why the Rogue attempted to kidnap her?" I asked

"No, they haven't figured anything out," 

"Thank you. You may go," I said, and he bowed before leaving my office.

After hearing that Ebony was almost kidnapped, I knew I needed to make amends with her. I didn't want to lose her. She was my oldest child, and even though I didn't get to raise her, I loved her just as much as I loved Alissa. I knew I was wrong for speaking to her the way I did the night she left. 

I left my office, went to my room, and took out one of my suitcases. 

"What are you doing?" Alice asked as I put some clothes in the suitcase.

"I am going to see Ebony. She was almost kidnapped today," I said

"She was? Did they catch the man responsible?" She asked

"Yes, he is in a cell now," I said

"Are you sure you should go? Especially after she said, she wanted nothing to do with any of us?" 

"Alice, she is my daughter. I am going. You can stay here or go with me. It is up to you," I said, and she began packing a bag. I mind-linked the pilot of my personal jet and told him to be here immediately. He told me he would be here within the next hour. 

"Dad," Alissa said, running toward Alice and me with a suitcase in her hand. "I am coming too," She said, and I smiled.

"I don't know if it's a good idea for her to come with us," Alice said

"Ebony is my big sister, mom. I am going,"
