Keith's POV

"Hey man, open the door; it's me," Mark said through Mindsd-link.

"Go away," I replied

"Come on; you can't still be mad at me,"

It had been five days since Ebony had left our room. After making the dumb decision to try to make Ebony jealous by flirting with a she-wolf from my pack, Ebony decided not only to move out of our room but also out of the Packhouse.

My mom helped her find a house right down the street from the Packhouse for her to stay in. My mom has been so disappointed and hasn't talked to me since Ebony left.

I can tell my dad is also upset with me. He said I should be ashamed of myself for doing that to Ebony, especially after she gave me a chance, even after how cruel I was to her for all those years, and that I don't deserve her. So I can't say I blame either of my parents for being upset with me. I know I was wrong, and I didn't know how I would fix things between us.

How could I already break our relationship before it even began? Being away from her made me feel sick. My wolf was depressed from losing his mate, just like I was. I couldn't even function right from her being away from me. I could hardly eat or sleep.

The only reason I went to school was to see Ebony. I hoped she would talk to me, but whenever I tried to approach her, she would go the other way. Then, when we were in Mrs. Grammers' class together, she wouldn't even look at me.

The only thing I was thankful for was that she stayed on Silver Moon Pack territory and didn't go back to Blood Moon. Raven told me that Ebony was okay but could tell she was having a hard time being away from me as well. I didn't know how that was true because she still hadn't come back home.

"Keith," Mark mind-linked me.

"I said go away," I growled using my Alpha tone through the link. My wolf was getting agitated, and keeping him from ripping Mark a part for suggesting I flirt with another was hard. I knew it wasn't entirely Mark's fault. I made the dumb decision to listen to him. All I knew was that I would never make that mistake again.

"Fine, man, if you need me, just call," he said and cut the link.

"Keith, I need to talk to you. Meet me in my office," My dad said through mind-link

I got up without replying to him and walked to his office. When I walked in, I saw my mother, Raven, and my dad. My dad and Raven had worried expressions while my mom looked at me with disappointment.

"You called for me," I said, looking at my dad.

"Yes, son, have a seat," My dad said

"You don't seem to be doing well," My dad said

"I am fine, dad. Why did you call me?" I asked

"I have something to tell you, but I don't know if now is the right time," my dad said, but my mom cut him off.

"Why isn't it the right time? I think he deserves to know that he is pushing his mate away," My mom said, and I couldn't help but worry.

"What are you talking about?"

"Ebony decided that she wanted to go back to Blood Moon," My mom said

"What," I couldn't help but growl

"She is just visiting. She said she would come back in a week. She said she needs a change of scenery after everything that has happened," Raven said

"She can't leave me like that," I said

"Well, she just left about twenty minutes ago," My dad said

"And you let her leave," I growled in my Alpha voice.

My body began to get hot, and I knew my wolf was taking over. He was upset because our mate had left us. He wanted to rip anyone's head off that let her go Pack Territory. My parents could tell I was losing control and would snap at any moment.

"Keith, calm down," My mom said

"I will not calm down. You took my mate from me on purpose," I said while standing up.

Pack warriors came into my father's office. I looked up at them and knew that my father must have mind-linked them to come.

"You called the Pack warriors,"  I growled and jumped at my father. I had completely lost it at this point.

Three warriors came up to me to stop my attack. I knew my eyes were dark as night. I fought the warriors, trying to get out of their hold. Then, I felt something sharp go into my neck, and there was nothing but darkness.
