Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 98

Derek's POV

"What are you doing here?" Jason asked as he looked at Cindy

"I was visiting a friend," Cindy replied

I knew she was lying by her body language. She was nervous about something. I ran inside the house and saw Chloe and Cheryl sitting on the couch. When they saw me, they jumped up to their feet, shocked.

"Where is Rose?" I asked 

Everyone came inside the house. Cheryl looked like she was about to cast a spell, but Jason somehow put the barrier in front of us. The light was bright that was coming from him. Joyce said a few words, and Chloe and Cheryl fell unconscious.

"Take them to a cell," I told two of my guards. 

"I will go with them to make sure they don't get away this time," Joyce said and walked away with the guards.

Cindy tried to run away, but Max grabbed her.

"Don't even think about it," Max said

"They kidnapped me. Jason, you have to believe me," Cindy said

Jason looked at her with an expression that I didn't understand. 

"I don't believe you, Cindy. If you were kidnapped, you wouldn't have been leaving the house," He said

"I escaped," She said

"For someone that escaped, you seemed pretty calm walking out of here with a smile on your face," Max said

"Where is Rose," I said before she could reply to his comment. I knew that she knew where she was

"I don't know. Rose isn't here," Cindy said

I started walking around the small house. There were only three rooms, and the first was a bathroom. The second room was a bedroom, but it was empty when I opened the door. I went to the last room and opened it to see a woman sitting on a chair. I turned and saw Rose on a bed with her eyes closed. 

At first, I thought she was asleep, but then she opened her eyes. She turned to look at me, and I could tell she was in bad condition. She looked pale, and the usual spark in her eyes was gone. 

The woman got up and ran at me with a knife in her hand, but I immediately dodged her attack. She tried again, and I grabbed her and took the knife out of her hand.

"Derek is everything okay," Aunt Lil asked as she walked into the room. Max walked in behind her.

"Rose, sweetie," Aunt Lil said

Max took the woman I was holding, and I went over to Rose. 

"Derek," Rose said and then passed out.

I picked her up bridal style and walked out of the room. Jason was holding Cindy, while Max was holding the other woman that attacked me.

"Take them to a cell," I told my Pack Warriors.

"No, Jason, please help me. I am your mate," Cindy said, but Jason didn't reply. I could tell that he was having a fight with himself. 

One of my warriors came to take Cindy, but Jason growled. 

"I will take her," He said and put Cindy in the back seat of a car with two warriors. He got in as well, sitting next to her.

"I will ride with him. It must be hard for him to see his mate like that," Mark said 

"That's a good idea. I am taking Rose home; she needs to see the Pack Doctor, "I said. I wanted to shift into my wolf to get her there faster, but she was not in a state to hold onto me, so we had to go by car.

I got into the back seat with her on my lap. Max was in the driver's seat, While Lil was in the passenger. I mind-linked Sally, letting her know what was going on, and told her to be ready when we got there.

We reached Pack Hospital in about fifteen minutes due to Max speeding. I quickly took her inside, and Sally was already waiting for me. 

"Hurry, We need to run some tests to see what all they did to her," Sally said, and we went to a room. Once in the room, I placed her on a bed. 

"They gave her wolfsbane. I don't know how much, but I knew it was a lot," I said.

"I will give her an IV to wash out the wolfsbane. I also need to check on the babies," She said 

There were a lot of doctors and nurses that came in and started working on her. They had put something on her to check her blood pressure and heart rate and gave her an IV. I was so worried and didn't know what to do. So I just stayed to the side while they worked on her. 

After they were done, I sat on a chair next to her holding her hand. Then, I felt someone's hand on my shoulder and saw my father standing behind me. 

"Are you okay, son?" He asked

"I don't know, father. My mate is in this hospital right now, unconscious. I just want her to wake up," I said

"What did Sally say," He asked

"That she is stable and should wake up soon. She did an ultrasound and said the babies were fine. She doesn't know how the wolfsbane will affect them and said only time will tell," I said

"That sounds like good news, son," 

"What about the babies?" I asked

"They will be fine, son. She said they were okay and didn't say the wolfsbane would affect them. I am sure everything will be alright," 

"Where is Lilly?" He asked

"Max took her to get some coffee. She should be back in a minute," I said

He sat quietly in the room with me for a couple of hours. Aunt Lil and Max came back into the room and sat on the other side of Rose. We all were just waiting for her to wake up. Kate and my mom switched places with my father and Max so that they could see her.

I wasn't leaving her side. I wanted her to see me first when she woke up. Jason and Mark were questioning Cindy, and the woman I found out was one of Cheryl's friends. I had other warriors watching Cheryl and Chloe. Joyce was there to make sure they couldn't escape.

I kept holding Rose's hand, hoping she would wake up soon. Finally, I felt her hand move and looked down to see her eyes opening. 

"Rose," I said, and she looked at me confused, and then the realization came to her.

"Derek, the babies. She injected me with wolfbane," She whispered. I could tell she was still weak.

"Shh, it's alright. They said you and the babies look good. Just rest; you need to get your energy back," I said and picked up a cup of water.

"Here, drink this," I said, placing it to her lips, and she took a couple sips through the straw.

I mind-linked Sally, letting her know that she had woken up. Her mom had left to change her clothes, so I was the only one there.

"You saved me," She said 

I caressed her cheek softly, and she closed her eyes.

"You are safe now, Flower," I said and planned on keeping it that way.
