Rose Bailey: My Mate, My Flower Chapter 34

James POV

I can't believe my mom would forgive that man for abandoning her and us when we were kids. I was only a baby when he left her for another woman.

When I saw Mark I was happy to have another brother. He seems to be cool too but I want nothing to do with our so-called dad. 

My mom went through too much because of him. He is the reason why she began to drink. She never got over him, while he was living his life with another family.

I hear a knock at the door suddenly and get up to answer it. When I open it I see Jason and Mark standing there with smiles on their faces.

"Hey, James! Can we come in?" Jason asks

I step to the side, allowing them to come into my room. I sit on my bed and they stand without speaking.

"You want to talk about it" Mark finally asks breaking the silence

"He left my mom with three children and now he is here like nothing happened," I said and looked down at my hands. 

I didn't know if I should talk about this in front of Mark. He and our father seem to be close. He has been in his life forever. I didn't want to offend him in any way.

"Anything else you want to say? You don't have to hold back your feelings because I'm here. You have every right to be upset with him." Mark said

I looked at Jason, who nodded his head telling me it was alright, to be honest

"It's just my mom has been through a lot. She never got over him. We all have been through a lot actually. Jason had to grow up to soon and help my mom take care of us. He never had the childhood he deserved. My mom went through a lot of struggles too. I know none of this would have happened if he never left her" I said letting it all out.

I looked over at Mark, who was looking at me. He surprisingly didn't seem upset.

"You should talk to him about this James. Let him know how you feel. Maybe you would feel better after you tell him." He aid 

"Yeah! Maybe your right," I said

"Well, I guess I didn't have to say anything. It's good to have another brother to help with these things" Jason said causing both me and Mark to laugh.

Rose's POV

"Why did you leave without telling me where you were? You could have called me or something" Derek said causing me to get upset

"Look! If you just want to argue with me then I will just go back down with my mom" I said and stood up to leave our room. Derek grabbed my arm gently and pressed his body to mine.

"I'm sorry Flower! I was just worried about you. You left without even letting me explain what happened" He said

His body pressed with mine sent tingles through my body like always. I had missed him and felt at home back in his arms. I was still upset with him and wasn't going to let that feeling affect me right now

I moved out of Derek's embrace and sat back on the bed. He sat next to me and looked into my eyes.

"Vivian came up to me when I showed up at the training field. She said she wanted to apologize to me for causing trouble. I told her that I didn't believe her and to leave me and you alone. She suddenly put her hands on me and before I could move away, you were there. The whole thing with your powers happened and then you left. I promise I didn't want her close to me like that" He said

"Are you sure? It looked to me like you went to her because you were upset with me about the party yesterday. You wouldn't even talk to me but had no problem talking to her" She said angrily

"I promise baby! I think she knew you were coming and used that moment to touch me" He said 

I could feel he was telling me the truth but I was still upset he ignored me.

"I believe you Derek, but you should have talked to me instead of avoiding me. You made me feel like you didn't want me anymore. I know I should have told you about the party but you still shouldn't have ignored me. I guess we both were at fault" I said to him

He looked up at me with a smile

"Your right! I shouldn't have acted so childishly. I'm sorry and I promise to talk to you about my feeling from now on" He said

"I'm sorry too. I promise not to leave without telling you from now on" I said and pressed my lips against his. It was a soft and loving kiss. 

A knock on the door made us break apart. Derek went and opened the door. It was James, Jason, and Mark. They came in looking at us with smiles on their faces.

"I guess you two made up," James said

I couldn't help the blush that crept on my cheeks.

"Yeah, there was a misunderstanding that had to be cleared up," Derek said

"Well let's try not to have many other misunderstanding" Jason said 

I could tell he was upset with Derek for what happened earlier

"I promise I will make sure that no more misunderstandings happen again," Derek said confidently

"Good because I don't like my sister upset like that" Mark said

"I know Mark! I don't like it either. You know how sneaky Vivian can be and that she loves to cause trouble" He said

"Yeah but you need to take care of her" Mark said

"I know and I plan on it" 

"So is anyone going to tell me what happened?" James asked and we all looked at him

"No," Jason said and James huffed in annoyance

"It's hard being the youngest" He whispered to himself, causing me to smile.

"Mom said we are having dinner with her tonight. She told us to get you two."Jason said

"OK! We will be there shortly. We have to finish our talk" Derek said

They said goodbye and left.

Derek came over to me and put his hands around my waist. He pulled my body to his and started kissing me hard. It was passionate and needy. One of his hands went up my shirt and to my breast, pulling at my nipple, making me moan from the feeling. When he took his lips from mine I was breathless. 

"Since we are having dinner with your parents, you will receive your punishment tonight," He said and stood up from the bed

"Punishment," I said breathlessly

"Yeah, punishment! You left without telling me, causing me to worry about you. I nearly went crazy thinking something happened to you." He said, causing me to worry about what he was going to do

"Don't worry! Not all punishments are bad" He said with a smirk, causing me to shiver.

He extended his hand for me to take and I took it without hesitation.

"Let's get this dinner over with shall we," I said with a smile on my face

I didn't know why, but for some reason, I really wanted him to punish me.
