"How do you feel about becoming Luna"

"What would that mean?" I asked

" We would take over the Pack. You would be Luna and I would be Alpha. My mom will help you learn everything you need to know. You will be great at it. The way you came to Vivian's aid even though you don't like her is proof of that," He said

I thought about it for a moment and decided I should try. If I was his mate then I must have been made for it. Besides, I didn't want to hold him back from becoming Alpha. I know he has been waiting for a long time.

"ok!"

"Really?"

"Yeah just tell me what I have to do," I said

"Well, first we would need to be fully mated. Which means, we have to have the mating ceremony" He said, causing me to look up at him.

I remembered everything he told me about the ceremony. The way I would have to have sex with him in front of others.

I don't know if I could do that.

Rose's POV

"I will leave you two to talk," Kate said and walked out of our room.

Derek was sitting by me, looking me in the eye. I knew he was waiting for me to speak. 

"You said that we would have to have sex in front of the Pack Members. I honestly don't know if I am ok with doing that," I told him honestly

"I told you that if you are not comfortable with the mating part, then we don't have to. We can leave that part out of the ceremony,"

"But you said that it is custom for the Alpha and Luna to mate in front of the pack," I said

"It is but if you don't want to we don't have to" He replied

"Do you want to?" I asked him 

He looked at me but didn't say anything. I knew that he wanted to keep the tradition going. He had grown up knowing that's the way things were done. 

"You do," I said

"Of course! I want to keep the tradition. All my life I was told about the Mating Ceremony. I had always known that I would mate and mark my Luna in front of our pack. Claiming her as mine. I also know that you were not raised the way I was. I don't want you to be uncomfortable or regret anything that we do. If you want to wait until we are alone for me to claim you fully then I will. It is your choice," He said causing my heart to flutter

He cared about me and loved me. Even though he wanted to keep the traditions, he was letting me choose. I thought about everything for a moment, wanting to make the right decision. 

"I want to do the ceremony the way it is normally done. I want you to claim me fully for the pack to see," I told him and he looked at me shocked

"Are you sure? I told you we don't have to keep the tradition,"

I smiled at him and kissed his lips softly before responding

"I am sure. I am going to be nervous but I feel like this is what's right" I told him and he kissed me lovingly. I could tell he was happy. He then looked me in my eyes

"Are you sure?" He asked gazing deep into my eyes 

"Yes! Besides, it will be good for all the females to see that you have claimed me as yours. Hopefully, that will show them that you are off limits and they will quit throwing themselves at you," I said and he started to laugh

"You will never have to worry about any female ever. I am yours and yours alone, just like you are mine" He whispered in my ear sending a shiver down my spine. 

"I guess we have to tell our parents that we are going to complete the mating process," I said and he started laughing

I looked up at him confused at what was so funny

"We don't have to go far," He said and went over to the front door.

When he opened it both of our moms and Kate were all at the door. Obviously listening in. 

I looked up at them with a raised brow.

"Well, Hello everyone," Derek said

"We were just about to knock," my mom said

"Sure you were," I replied and rolled my eyes playfully

"Whatever! You two caught us" Kate said and then hugged me.

"I am so happy! You will finally be my sister" 

"Yeah! I always wanted a sister" I told her

"So did I!" Kate said

"Congratulations! This is such a wonderful day" Lisa said

I was taken aback. They were acting like he was proposing marriage. Then it occurred to me that he basically was. He was asking for more than just a marriage. He told me marking could never be undone. I should have been scared but I wasn't. I was happy and felt that this was the way my life was supposed to turn out.

I looked up at my mother and saw she was crying. 

"Don't cry mom," I said to her.

"I can't help it, sweetie. You're growing up too fast," she said and hugged me tightly.

I hugged her back and couldn't help the smile that appeared on my face.

"I love you so much sweetie," She whispered

"I love you two mom" I replied

"ok enough of that! We need to get everything ready for the ceremony. I think we should do it in two weeks. What do you think Lil," Lisa said

"I think that's a great idea, Lisa," My mom said

"Great let's get to planning," Kate said excitedly

"Well, I will leave you ladies to it then," Derek said and came over to me and hugged me.

"I am going to talk to my father. I will be back later," He said and kissed the top of my forehead

"Ok," I said and he walked out of our room.

I looked over at Kate and our moms, deep in conversation about my mating ceremony.

I sighed and walked over to them. This was going to be fun
