 "Mom, this is great! I can't believe you made this," James said 

My mom looked at him with a frown on her face. I had to hold back my laughter. My mom couldn't cook noodles. I don't know why he would think that she made this

"I didn't cook it, your father did" My mother replied

"How are your parents doing Derek," Max asked

"They are good! Their anniversary is next weekend. They plan on going to Hawaii" 

"That sounds nice! I heard you made the football team James" Max said

"You shouldn't have said that James! Now, dad is going to embarrass you. He will be at every game." Mark said

"Is that a bad thing darling?" My mom asked

"No, but it will be embarrassing. When I played in high school dad showed up to every game and was the loudest in the stands. He would even cuss out the coach if he felt he wasn't training me right."

"You played football too?" James asked 

"Yes, I did! All through high school. I could have gone to college on a full scholarship but decided to stay home. Football was just something I did for fun." Mark replied

"That's crazy! Jason played football too." James said

"You guys got that from me" Max said

"Yeah dad was really good back in his day. They still have his jersey up at school. Never Lose Bailey" Mark said

"You're Never Lose Bailey? They said that you neve lost a game when you were in high school." James said excitedly.

"Guilty as charged!"

That's so cool! Wait until I tell everyone that my dad is Never Loss Bailey," James said

I looked over at Max and saw tears in his eyes. I could tell that he was happy about James calling him dad. My mom placed her hand in his and they looked into each other's eyes. I could see the look of love and admiration in his eyes when he looked at her. I couldn't help the smile that wouldn't leave my face.

We finished our food and then went into the family room and talked. My mom pulled out our baby books to show everyone. We were laughing as my mom told embarrassing stories about us from when we were little. Max did the same, telling stories about Mark. 

I looked at everyone around me happily. I felt that this is the way our lives should have always been. It was like we were a family. Derek placed his arm around me and pulled me closer to him. He placed a kiss on my forehead.

"Are you ok Flower?"

Jason was telling a story about me as a child at that time

"She was so spoiled and always getting what she wanted." He said and everyone laughed.

"I think you got me mixed up with Honey" I replied

"Whose Honey?" Mark asked and Max started laughing.

"What's so funny?" Mark asked in confusion

"Nothing Darling" My mom said, causing everyone to laugh.

Mark just looked at us all still confused

"Well you passed the test. You are one of us now" I said in between laughter

"Yeah bro! There's no turning back now" Jason added

"Lil gave all the kids nicknames when they were younger. Jason is a baby, Rose is Sweetie, James is Honey, and now you are Darling. She's been calling you that all night." Max said 

"Hey they all deserve their own name," My mom said in defense

We all looked at them in shock. Love, when did that happen. I wasn't mad though and I could tell nobody else was mad either.

Mark looked at him with a smile. I was relieved that Mark was ok with it. It was obvious that they were most likely back together. I would talk to my mother later about it though. When we were alone. I still didn't want her to get hurt by him. 

We talked for about an hour more and then everyone went their separate ways. Max stayed with my mom, saying he wanted to catch up.
