Ebony's POV

I felt terrible leaving with the Rogue family without telling Keith, but I really wanted to see where Alice was hiding. She had been causing a lot of problems for me. Knowing that Jacob had been talking to her all of this time hurt. He had lied to me and told me he didn't know where she was, but he was sneaking around seeing her. Not only that, but he was working with Alice to make Alissa Queen. 

I guess I should have known Jacob would never choose me over Alice and Alissa, even if they were in the wrong and hurt me. I was his Bastard daughter that had an Omega mom. Alice and Alissa were his true family. 

"We are almost there, Princess. Would you like to shift so we can make it there faster?" Jonathan asked

"No. I am fine walking in human form," I replied as we kept walking. I knew it wouldn't be a good idea to shift in front of them. I didn't know how they would react if they saw my White Wolf. About an hour later, I was becoming impatient. We were still walking through the woods, and there was no home insight.

"I thought you said we were almost there," I said

"We are almost there. Just be patient," Jonathan replied. I could tell by the tone of his voice that he was annoyed. That shocked me because he had been very nice and friendly before that. I looked over at their children, who were being really quiet. Once I started thinking about it, they hadn't said one word since I met them at the meeting. IT wasn't normal for pups to be so quiet, especially at their age.

"The two of you must be hungry. YOu haven't eaten anything since we met," I said. They just looked at me without saying a word. 

"Are you hungry?' I asked

"Don't speak to them. They don't like to talk," Jonathan growled, causing me to look at him.

"I am sorry. I only wanted to know if they were hungry. When was the last time they ate?" I asked, and Jonathan began to laugh

"Like you care. You don't give a damn about us. We are only Rogues," Jonathan said 

"That's not true," I replied. I was beginning to think going with them was a bad idea. "You know what? I should go back to Red Moon Pack. I am sure Keith is looking for me," I said

"I am afraid that isn't possible," Kerry said. 

"Keith," I mind-linked

"Ebony, where are you? Are you with the Rogues?" Keith linked back

"Yes, we are in the woods going to Blue Moon Pack. They are supposed to take me to see where Alice is hiding, but something seems off about them," I replied

"You need to get away from them. Are you sure you are walking towards Blue Moon?" Keith asked

"Yes, I am positive," I replied

"Okay, I will be there soon. Don't let them know anything is off, and keep your walls open so I can find you," Keith said

"Okay. I am sorry I left without telling you," I said

"It's okay, My Love. I am coming to get you," Keith replied. We ended the link but kept my wall open so he could find me. I looked over to see the children looking at me. One of them gave me a piece of paper. I opened it to see the word RUN on it.  

I look up and can see a house coming into view. "Who were you mind-linking?" Jonathan asked. 

"No one," I replied, looking at him. Then, I began to run away from them. I could hear Jonathan laugh.

"Oh, Princess, there is nowhere you can run. You can't get away from me," Jonathan said 

"Keith, please hurry up. Jonathan is running after me," I mind-linked.

"I am almost there, Ebony. Keep your walls open so I can find you," Keith said. 

I hit something hard, causing me to fall to the ground. I look up to see an older man hovering over me. I have seen him before. I wonder where I saw his face and remember he was one of Alice and Jacob's friends. I tried to remember the name, and soon it came to me.

"Alister," I said, getting up off the ground quickly. 

"Hello, little wolf. You have been causing a lot of trouble for the Queen. I think it is time I got rid of you. You are a weak Omega that doesn't deserve to be called Queen," Alistar said and pulled out a gun. He aims and me and pulls the trigger.

"NOOO," I looked over and saw Alissa push him to the ground. The bullet grazes my shoulder, causing me to hiss in pain. Alistar looks at Alissa with a shocked expression.

"What are you doing, Alissa? We need to get rid of her so that you can take your rightful place as Queen," Alistar said

"I can't do this anymore. Ebony is my sister, and I can't let you and mom hurt her anymore," Alissa said, causing Alistar to growl.

"You traitor," He said and aimed the gun at Alissa while he was still on the ground. I quickly lift my hands and remember what Jacob has taught me. Then, I focus on getting the gun out of his hands and smile when the gun hovers over to me. 

Alistar starts running toward me, but he doesn't get far because I aim the gun at his leg and pull the trigger causing him to fall to the ground.

I hear footsteps coming my way and turn my head to see three wolves coming toward me. I relax when I see it is Keith, Jacob, and Mark. They go behind a tree, shift back to their human selves, and come out with only a pair of shorts. 

"Are you alright, My Love?" Keith asked and looked over to see Alistar crying out from the pain of me shooting him.

"You shot me, you weak bitch," Alistar said, and Jacob walked over to him and kicked him in the leg. I shot him in, causing him to scream in pain. "Guards take him back to Silvermoon and place him in a cell," Jacob said. Some guards come out of the trees, grab Alistar's hand, and begin to walk away with him, screaming and fighting to get away.

"I am so sorry, Ebony. I was jealous that you were getting all of the attention. I never meant for you to get hurt," Alissa said. I didn't know if I could trust her. She helped Alice kidnap me the first time and left with Alistar. I didn't know if she was trying to trick me, so I would let my guard down.

"Where is Alice?" Keith asked

"I don't know. I think she left when she saw you guys coming for Ebony. She wanted me to run too, but I couldn't let Alistar shoot Ebony with the gun. The bullets are laced with wolfsbane," Alissa replied

"We will talk about this later. Come on," Jacob said, and he and Alissa began to walk away.
