Ebony's POV

"Good job, Ebony. I knew you could do it," Jacob said. It has been five days since the Council Members showed up. Since then, Jacob has been training me nonstop. I finally passed the test of moving the pop bottle. I have realized that my powers are triggered by fear or anger. I learned that after the fight I had at the party the night before the Council showed up.

Keith has been working with me in wolf form away from the Pack, so they don't see my wolf. He has a special spot. He takes me deep into the woods to practice where no one in the Pack goes. "Let's take a seat. I have something to tell you," Jacob said, and we sat on some chairs. "Your grandparents contacted me and said they would like to meet you. I wanted to know how you felt about that?" Jacob asked

"I don't know," I said honestly. I knew Jacob said they weren't like my mom, but I wondered if they would be upset that she was locked in a cell. They were her parents.

"What are you thinking?" Jacob asked

"I was wondering if they were mad at me because my mom is in a cell because of me," I said 

"Ebony, they are not mad at you. They are mad at your mother for the decisions she has made. But they don't blame you for anything that happened. They looked for you just like I was after your mom took you. They are thrilled you are alive and well and want to get to know you," Jacob said.

"I would like to meet them," I said

"Good. I will send some guards to bring them here to see you," Jacob said 

"I thought they didn't want to go back to the Royal Pack," I said

"They aren't at the Royal Pack. They are staying with friends that live on the human territory. They called me yesterday and said they would like to meet you," Jacob said.

"Hey, My Love. How was training," Keith asked as I walked into his office after taking a shower and changing out of my workout clothes.

"It was okay," I said and walked to sit next to him, but he pulled me onto his lap.

"What is the Royal Pack doing here?" I asked

'I don't know. I thought they weren't coming until next week," Keith said. We put our clothes back on and headed downstairs. When we arrived, Jacob and the Council were sitting on the couch talking.

"Hello, I thought you weren't coming back until next week," Keith said as we sat next to each other across from the Council. 

"That was our plan, but something has come up."

"What happened," Keith asked

"Alice has disappeared," Jacob said 

"What do you mean by disappeared?' I asked

"Because of the charges that the Queen is facing, she is supposed to stay in the castle on her floor. We had guards watching her to make sure she didn't leave until her trial, but somehow she escaped the castle," 

"How could she escape?" Keith asked

"I don't know, but we believe she had help from someone on the inside. We have some of the Royal Warriors looking for her," 

"Hopefully, they are not the same ones that have been helping her," Keith said 

"We have assigned extra Warriors to look after you, Princess Ebony. You are the future Queen, and we believe she might come after you," 

"Why do you think she will come after Ebony?" Keith asked

"Because she believes that Alissa should be Queen. We believe she left to get to you so she can finish what she started," 

"You mean she wants to kill me?" I asked

"Yes, we believe that is what she plans to do," 

"Thank You," Jacob said 

"Of course. We will be on our way. If you need anything or hear from the Queen, don't hesitate to call us," 

"Okay," Jacob said, walking with them out of the Packhouse.

Keith wrapped his arms around me and pulled my body to his. 

"Don't worry, My Love. I won't let anything happen to you,"
