Ebony's POV

"Again," Keith said. 

"Keith, we have been training all day. I am hungry," I groaned. Since the Rogue attempted to kidnap me, Keith has been training with me for several hours every day. Yes, I have been training but with the other warriors and not all for so long. 

"Okay, how about we get something to eat, and then we will return to the training field?" Keith asked

'No, I am tired and ready to go home. I know you are worried about me, but I can't train all day, every day," I said, and he sighed. 

"Okay, My Love. Let's go and get some food," Keith said. We walked to the Packhouse to see Nancy talking to one of the cooks.

"You finally done training?" Nancy asked

'Yeah, we are done for today," Keith said, and we sat next to Nancy.

Keith began to stare into space, and I knew he was mind-linking with someone. 

"Your dad is here," Keith said, looking at me. I was shocked because I hadn't heard from them since I left. I thought he didn't want to have anything to do with me anymore after I went off on Alice. "You don't have to see him if you don't want to Love," Keith said

"I don't want to see him right now," I said 

"Okay, I will be back. I am going to talk to him," Keith said. He kissed me softly before walking out of the door.

"Are you okay," Nancy asked.

"Yes, I wonder what he wants," I said

"I am sure he wants to talk to you," Nancy said

"I don't want to talk to him," I replied

"I know he said some things to you that he should never have, but I think you should hear what he has to say. He is your father, and from what I have heard, he has been looking for you since you were born. He loves you, Ebony. Give him a chance to explain himself," Nancy said 

"I will think about it," 

Keith's POV

I was shocked when my father told me that King Jacob was talking to him in his office. After we returned to Silvermoon, I thought we would never see him again after Ebony, and I hadn't heard from him. I opened my father's door and saw the two of them talking. 

"Hello Keith, come sit down. We have a lot to discuss with King Jacob," My father said, and I went to sit on the chair next to King Jacob.

"Where is Ebony?" King Jacob asked 

"Ebony isn't ready to see you yet with everything that happened at the palace. I am sure you can understand why," I said

"Yes, that is one of the reasons I am here. I wanted to apologize to Ebony for my behavior. I should never have spoken to her the way that I did," King Jacob said 

"King Jacob also heard about Ebony almost being kidnapped. So he asked me what happened and if the Rogue told us anything," My father said.

"He did tell us some disturbing news. I am not sure that you would believe it, though," I said 

'What do you mean?" King Jacob asked

"First of all, he is not a Rogue. He is from the Palace. I haven't told Ebony any of this because I didn't want to stress her out more than she already is," I said 

"What do you mean he is from the Palace?" King Jacob

"He is, and he is one of the Queen's Guards," I said

"Why would one of Alice's Guards want to kidnap Ebony," He asked.

"I don't know if you are going to like the reason he told me," I said 

"What was his reason," King Jacob asked

"He said the Queen told him to get rid of her so that Alissa could be Queen," I said

"That can't be true. He is lying. Alice would never do anything like that to anyone. I demand to speak with him," King Jacob growled.

'That is impossible because I killed him for trying to kill Ebony," I said

"So you killed the only person that can confirm your allegations of the Queen?" King Jacob asked

"Yes, I did, and what I told you is true. He said that the Queen threatened his family, and that is why he went after Ebony," I said 

"Well, he was lying to you," King Jacob said 

"I hope you are right," I replied
