"I want you to move in with me, Derek," I told him and pecked his lips.

"Are you sure?" He asked, and I nodded

"I have never been surer about anything. I want to be with you, Derek, and I want to complete the mating process," I said and crashed my lips on his.

Derek's POV

I always thought my life couldn't get any better. I thought I had it all.

I had the perfect family, friends, and all the girls I could ever want. I thought my life was complete.

Now I know I was wrong. I always knew what mates were to each other, but I always thought it was exaggerated.

I thought they told us all that, so we would want to wait. Now I know I was so dumb.

"I understand if you aren't sure about being with me. I know I'm not experienced, and you probably want," She started, but I cut her off.

"In the werewolf community, it is a special occasion when you find your mate. First, there is normally a celebration where you accept each other in front of your family and friends. Then there is the marking. Normal werewolves mark each other that night at their home while mating. Then, once they reach their climax, they mark each other. Since I am soon to be Alpha and you will be Luna, we are supposed to mate and mark in front of our pack and council members." I told her, and she let out a gasp.

"We would have to have sex in front of the pack?" She asked, shocked.

"That is how it's done here. Not everyone in the pack decides to watch, but it is custom. There is a bed and covers, so they don't see everything, but they sit and watch us mate and mark each other." I told her

She just sat there thinking of what I said. She was starting to worry me.

"I need time to think about that. It's a lot to process." She told me truthfully.

"Take all the time you need. If you choose not to mate and mark in front of everyone, we don't have to. I will be okay with doing it in private after the mating ceremony. I will let you know that seeing the Alpha and Luna complete the process is natural in the werewolf community. No one will think anything bad if you do decide to follow the tradition. I want you to choose what you want. I am okay with whatever you choose as long as I get to claim you as mine." I told her and kissed the top of her head.

She looked at me for a moment and smiled, "I just need time to think about it."

"Okay," I said and kissed her lips softly.

"You hungry," I asked her, and just then, her stomach growled. She starts to blush, and I laugh.

"I take that as a yes. Let's go out to dinner." I said, and she nodded and went to our room to change.

I watched after her, wondering how lucky I got to have her.
